Please meet me in my loneliness, help me to have the confidence to speak with someone about my addiction. I trust that you can lead me this prison, that you can heal my mind and body.
I long to be free, yet I still feel so trapped by my thoughts and fears. Cover me with your love and grace, until, with your help Lord, I can walk in freedom, break out and fully live again.
I trust that you understand me. You have carried me in the hardest times. Only you have seen each despairing moment and only you have walked beside me.
Now I ask that you, with your gentle, healing hands would lead me away from my drug addiction. Cover my mind and body as I face the withdrawal and fill my heart with songs of hope. Help me to see what you can already see.
Me, cleansed of all the upset and brokenness, free to live and love, restored and redeemed.
O blessed Lord, you ministered to all who came to you: Look with compassion upon all who through addiction have lost their health and freedom. Restore to them the assurance of your unfailing mercy; remove from them the fears that beset them; strengthen them in the work of their recovery; and to those who care for them,
give patient understanding and persevering love.
God grant me the serenity To accept the things I cannot change; Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world As it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right If I surrender to His Will; So that I may be reasonably happy in this life And supremely happy with Him Forever and ever in the next.
Almighty God, I come before you today, please forgive me of every sin of drug addiction, sex addiction, e.t.c, that I have committed against my body and against you in the name of Jesus.
It is written, “call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee and thou shall glorify me” Psalm 50:15. Father, deliver me from evil spirit of addiction to (name your addiction e.g. alcohol) that I have invited to my life in the name of Jesus.
Righteous Father, please forgive us for not being there when we should have for that person who turned to drugs for comfort. Forgive us for judging and condemning those who are addicted. Forgive us for overlooking opportunities to show love and compassion to the hurting families who are suffering from the effects of addiction.
Forgive those who are addicted for turning to something unholy for help instead of turning to You. Forgive them for not responding to the voice of wisdom and making unhealthy choices in life. Forgive those of us who have at one time, knowingly or unknowingly, contributed to the cause of another’s addiction. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that You have committed).
Holy Spirit, remind those who are addicted of all those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show You names or faces of people that You may need to forgive. As He shows You, say aloud, “I forgive name of person(s).
” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in Your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
There are so many things to be addicted to in this world…so many enticing things that people cling to, even if that thing is destroying them.
I pray against addiction and claim freedom! I pray protection over each of our lives, over husbands, over our family and our friends! May Your power Lord rescue those who need an intervention, those too weak to resist the enemy. May Your power be sufficient and may people find hope amidst a dark world.
Please Lord, we cry out to You, break the chains of addiction, sexual addiction, alcohol addiction, drug addiction, lying, stealing, cheating, dishonoring, or idolizing! Holy Spirit rain down, cleanse us, and let your grace restore us in Jesus’ name AMEN!
Help me. You know what I crave. You know my struggles. I call out to you. You have all the answers on how to be free. Cleanse my thoughts and cleanse my body. Renew my mind as I read your Word. Guide me through this valley to a place of victory. In Jesus’ name I pray,

Dear All that is, It can feel so lonely to feel ill. I would someone to be here with me.Or perhaps someone is here with me but I feel lonely with them.I can’t say how ill I feel because they might be bored of hearing it. Or they might tell me to bepositive.
Or they might tell me I am complaining about nothingand I would feel more lonely.Sometimes, even I don’t hearing myself noticing the symptoms!Guide me to give myself the understanding I need. Bring into my life someone who soothes me with their understanding.
My God, I place any symptoms I have on your altar. I place any lonelinessI feel about those symptoms on your altar. I don’t know how to feel OK in this situation, but I am doing my best to create aspace in the clutter of my mind and to invite you in. I am willing to have a sense of my oneness with you. I am willing to know myself to be at one with every living thing.
Speak to my mind, God. Speak to my heart.Let me know your love for me. Give me a sense that you are here with me. Give me the strength I need for this moment, and the next 5 minutes, and the dayahead. Thank you that you are the Love behind all things.Thank you that I am and always will be a part of you.
To the best of my ability, I let go of my sense of separation. I let go of my littleness.I affirm my connection with you, my unity with you, my wholeness in you.
I am yours.
