Healing In Body And Spirit For My Brother
Is Groaning in the Spirit a Biblical Manifestation?
This next manifestation that is possible to receive from God through the Holy Spirit may be the one that may considered to be the most unpleasant. To have God manifest His love, joy, and peace to you through the Holy Spirit are very nice and pleasant manifestations to receive from the Lord.
However, when God decides to manifest His sadness or pain to you, this can be very uncomfortable.
Some of you have already had these sadness manifestations from the Holy Spirit. This is where God will manifest His sadness, not your sadness, on a particular issue that you may be dealing with.
Again, the way that you know that it is His sadness and not your own natural sadness, is that His sadness is much deeper and much more intense than your own natural sadness.
After you receive a few of these sadness manifestations, you can usually become quite adept in discerning when these manifestations are coming in from the Lord or when they are just coming in from your own natural emotions.
However, this next manifestation – groaning in the Spirit – is not as easy to handle. In this manifestation, you are not only feeling God’s sadness on a particular situation, but you are also feeling His pain. This pain is so intense, that you can actually feel a groaning within the actual manifestation itself. This manifestation is definitely not for everyone. When this manifestation comes in on you with any kind of intensity, it will flatten you. What happens is that when your human body comes into physical contact with God’s manifestation of pain, it seems to overwhelm the circuits in your body.
Your energy levels will immediately decrease and your ability to focus and concentrate will be impaired. If you are lying down when it occurs, you will not want to get off the couch. You will just want to lie there until the manifestation subsides.
When God does allow you to experience His pain on something, He will respect your limits and He will pull the manifestation off you if you ask Him to do so. When you ask Him to pull it off you, it will disappear in 5-15 seconds.
It can come off you that fast. So if anyone of you receives this manifestation anytime in the near future, remember, God will pull it off you the second you ask Him too. You do not have to worry about God overwhelming you past your own personal limits.
1. This first Scripture verse, where God is showing you that He can manifest some of His emotions to you through the Holy Spirit, is the one I stated in the last article on “Laughing in the Spirit.” For the purposes of this article, I will go ahead and restate this verse for you.
“He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him … and We will come to him and make our home with him.” (John 14:21)
Again, I believe the words “manifest Myself” to him is literal interpretation, and shows that God can manifest Himself and some of His emotions to us through the Holy Spirit if He should choose to do so.
2. This next verse shows us that Jesus Himself had this groaning in His Spirit when He came upon the death of Lazarus. As you already know, Jesus ended up raising this man literally from the dead once he arrived on the scene. Here is the verse:
Then when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at his feet, saying to Him, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.
” Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, He groaned in the Spirit and was troubled … Then Jesus, again groaning in Himself, came to the tomb.
It was a cave, and a stone lie against it … now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” And he who had died came out …” (John 11:32-44)
Lazarus had been dead for 4 days by the time Jesus arrived on the scene. If you will notice when He first arrives on the scene, Lazarus’ sister Mary is weeping along with the other Jewish people who were with her.
They were all crying and weeping over the death of this man. When Jesus sees all of these people crying over this man, He then starts to get the groaning in His Spirit. He obviously was feeling their pain to the same degree they were and it was causing Him to groan with this severe and intense pain.
It also says that Jesus “groaned in Himself” a second time when He actually entered the tomb that Lazarus had been buried in. I believe what was happening was that both Jesus and the Holy Spirit were feeling and experiencing severe and intense pain over the death of this particular man.
When Jesus saw Lazarus’ sister and friends crying and weeping over his death, I believe God the Father allowed Jesus to raise this man from the dead through the power of the Holy Spirit just due to the fact that Jesus was feeling such intense sorrow and sadness for the grieving they were all going through. This dramatic story right here shows us that God can and does actually feel our pain, sadness, and sorrow when we are faced with a real sad or traumatic situation. Many of the times when we are crying, God is crying right along side of us.
However, most of the time we cannot see or feel God crying with us on a sad situation unless He decides to manifest His sadness and pain to us through the Holy Spirit.
In my opinion, when God does decide to manifest His sadness and pain to you on a particular situation where you can actually feel what He is feeling – this is an incredible privilege, blessing, and honor – because God is sharing with you His feelings on the matter, even if it is feelings of sadness, sorrow, and pain.
If God’s pain is so intense and so uncomfortable to handle for any length of time, then why would any of us want to experience this particular unpleasant manifestation?
The answer is an analogy that I feel that the Lord gave to me to be able to understand all of this. The analogy is the “husband-wife” or “lover” analogy.
When two people are truly in love with one another, they are willing to share the good times with the bad times. When your lover is crying over a sad situation, you are feeling your lover’s pain because of the close, love-bond that exists between the two of you.
You are so in tune with your lover’s feelings and emotions, that sometimes you may be able to feel their pain to the same depth and degree they are.
Imagine your father has just died and you are really grieving over his death. Then all of sudden your lover or spouse says to you they will see you later after all of your grieving is over because they cannot deal with the pain that you are going through. How would that make you feel?
When true love is entered into between two people, you have to be willing to stand by your partner during the sad times, and be willing to feel and share some of their pain during their times of sadness.
The same analogy also applies to our personal relationship with God. Remember, the number one thing that God wants from each one of us is that we establish a loving, intimate, personal relationship with Him.And in this personal relationship with God is our desire to want to share our thoughts, our feelings and our emotions with Him, just two people will want to do in a normal human love relationship.
And then God wants to be able to share some of His thoughts, some of His feelings, and some of His emotions with us just we will want to do with Him. And sometimes when God decides to share a feeling or emotion with us, He will literally manifest that feeling or emotion right up to us through the Holy Spirit.
You will thus be receiving an actual manifestation from God Himself. You will literally be feeling His actual emotion on something. He is sharing that emotion with you when He does this. He is allowing you to feel what He is feeling for that short period of time.
Do you see what an incredible privilege and blessing this is – to be able to feel, through an actual manifestation, what God is actually feeling about something? This is true sharing. This is what true love is all about.
If we can share our emotions and feelings with our natural lovers, then why can’t we be willing to share our emotions and feelings direct with God Himself – and then allow God to share back with us His feelings and emotions on any particular situation?
I know some of the above may sound too deep or too heavy to get into for some of you, but it really isn’t. Some of you have had the basic love stirrings from God through the Holy Spirit. This is just the next step up the ladder. You are simply allowing God to manifest His other emotions to you in addition to the love that you have already felt through the normal stirrings.
For those of you who would to try and venture into a little deeper water with the Lord on this, simply go to Him in prayer, and ask Him, if it be His will to do so at your present level of spiritual development with Him, to release some of these other emotional manifestations up to you through the Holy Spirit.
Tell Him that He has a green light to manifest any of His other emotions anytime that He will want to do so with you.
For those of you who are willing to give it a try, I guarantee that you will get to know God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit much better than you already do now. When you start feeling what
They are feeling, and you allow God to start to share His feelings and emotions with you within this manifestation realm, it will simply draw you that much closer to God in your own personal relationship with Him. It will help increase the love that you already have for Him because you will really see how much God really does love and care for all of the people who are in this world.
It’s one thing to know that God does love and care for all of us because the Bible tells us so. However, it’s another thing to be able to actually feel God’s love for us through some of these manifestations that He is capable of giving to us through the Holy Spirit.
One time I felt the Lord gave me a powerful word about 12 years ago. He said to me: “Do you know how dry your walk would be with Me if from time to time I did not manifest Myself to you?”I then received an immediate analogy of the lovers again. Imagine a love relationship with no physical intimacy, no touching, no hugging, no hand holding.
The love relationship would dry up without the physical touch. It’s the same way in our personal relationship with God. God does want to “touch us” from time to time with these manifestations.
They will help keep us from drying up in our walk with Him.
However, we always have to keep all of this in proper balance. Some people would go overboard with these manifestations. The only thing they would seek after would be these manifestations because of the intensity of them and because they make you feel so good when you do receive them.
I believe God will hold these manifestations back from these types of people because He will lose them due to them getting too flaky and too balance with all of it.
Remember, it’s the Word and Spirit working together that will cause true spiritual growth to occur in a born-again believer. If you have all Word, but no Holy Spirit, you will dry up. If you have all Holy Spirit, but no Word, you will blow up. However, if you have both the Word and the Holy Spirit – you will grow up.
The two will go perfectly hand-in-hand with one another when you stay in proper balance within these two realms.
Mind Body Spirit Healing: 7 Principles that make it Work
Does Mind Body Spirit Healing really work?
Over the last twenty years I have witnessed hundreds of students and clients recover from life threatening illnesses with the help of mind power techniques and energy healing strategies.
Mind healing methodologies include visualization, self hypnosis, and meditation techniques, to name a few. What I want to focus on today are the basic principles that make them all work.
Before getting into the principles, I think it is useful to acknowledge and even appreciate skepticism.
There is still so much we don't really understand — and so much the Western world doesn't WANT to understand about mind body spirit healing.
Why the Mystery and myth around mind body Spirit Healing?
It is important to keep in mind that most medical research is sponsored by pharmaceutical companies who have a lot to lose from alternative approaches to treating disease.
A few years ago I was a key note speaker at a convention in Houston, Texas. One of the other speakers happened to be Gregg Braden, a scientist who shared some provocative analytical data on consciousness and the mind-body spirit connection. I have followed his work since. Here is a video of him discussing collective consciousness and mind body spirit healing. In the video you will see a woman being cured of cancer in less than three minutes at a medicine-less hospital in China.
There are various mind power techniques you can use for self healing, but the following success factors seem to always be present in the more successful cases.
SEVEN success ingredients
for mind body spirit healing
In the words of Eric Butterworth, realize that “God can do no more FOR you than he can do THROUGH you.”
In other words, recognize that life is always on the side of wellness – but spirituality can only help you if you help yourself through your thoughts, your faith, your actions and your vision. If you are constantly in a state of resistance and stress, you are behaving in opposition to healing.
To heal, we must let go of our ideas about how we believe things should be. We have to accept the current situation, relax, surrender and allow Spirit to work through us.
1. focus and awareness
- Be mindful of your thoughts, words, and actions (please see this article for powerful autosuggestion techniques).
- Observe what creates stress for you and make changes where appropriate. Ways to manage stress.
- Apply the power of positive thinking.
- Do not allow negativity to creep in.
- See yourself as a channel of positive, divine energy. Start your day imagining healing energy flowing into your body through the crown of your head — from an unseen source above. See yourself filling up with so much of it that you are able to radiate some of that excess energy out though your heart. Use affirmations for healing that help you stay centered in that spiritual space of giving and receiving.
- Learn how to do meditation and/or self hypnosis and use it on a daily basis for centering yourself.
2. Take control of your mind
Sometimes it is hard to accept bad news. It can be even harder to accept responsibility for your thoughts that contribute to a situation you don't want.
The irony is that until we come to acceptance, we cannot truly begin healing on a spiritual level. If you want a different result you must change your thinking and move resistance.
You are probably already familiar with the remarkable Louise Hay, a woman who cured herself from cancer and then started Hay House, now a very successful publishing company:
3. Apply the Law of Visualization
|Understand that each of us interprets the world through our own set of filters. You see what your awareness has conditioned you to see.|
Or perhaps better said, you see what you believe. Visualization is a powerful mind tool for mind body spirit healing. If you create pictures in your head of worrisome thoughts, you are attracting worrisome outcomes to you. For more on this topic see Body Mind Health and the Placebo Effect.
“See” yourself in perfect health and it will be so. Be diligent about your thoughts, words, and deeds. Never allow negativity to creep in. Stay positive, joyous, and hopeful.
4. Be strong in your belief and your faith
Don’t allow a moment of doubt. Visualization exercises will certainly help in this regard. So will some of the other mind power tools offered on this site. The power of positive thinking cannot be over-stated.
Surround yourself with positive people and evidence of mind body spirit healing successes through books, videos, etc. Use positive daily affirmations to anchor your faith. Always begin your day with positive thoughts.
5. Live in gratitude
Every morning find something to feel grateful for. Cultivating a grateful heart is not for God’s benefit — but for your own. It raises your consciousness and centers you in the divine flow.
I to fall asleep at night making my way through the alphabet, finding things for each letter that I am grateful for. It is counting sheep — but better.
6. Practice relaxation techniques to improve YOUR immune system
Practice relaxation techniques such as hypnosis for stress relief, at least three times a day to strengthen your immune-system. Stress relief techniques are SO important that a well-known Harvard professor once said “that if a pill were invented which gave us this same benefit, people would line up around the block to buy it.”
7. Let go of resentment: Learn how to forgive and forget
Realize that your emotions affect your health and well being. Let go of resentment, anger, and other negative emotions. Forgive people that have harmed you – including yourself. Open your heart to love and wellness. Most of all, be happy.

21 Powerful Prayers for Healing [Prayers + Bible Verses]
On this page you’ll find inspirational prayers for healing from being sick, strength, comfort, and broken heart. Prayers and quotes from the bible for healing yourself, family members or a special friend in need. Read these prayers out loud or in silence.
God heals and you too can heal. God heals broken bodies, broken minds, broken hearts and broken lives. His presence alone has immense healing powers. You cannot be close to him without experiencing some degree of healing.
So you may be wondering why you haven’t received his healing? You have not received it because you haven’t asked for it. You receive God’s healing energy that flows naturally, whether you are seeking it or not.
But there is much more energy that is powerful and available to those who ask.
The first step to receiving this type of healing is to live closely to God. The benefits of doing so are endless. As you grow more intimately with God, he reveals his will to you more directly.
When the time is right, God encourages you to ask for this healing of brokenness in you or in someone else. The healing may be instantaneous or it may be a process. That is up to God. Your part is to trust God’s will fully and to thank him, for the restoration has begun.
Mark 5:34- Your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed
God rarely heals all the brokenness that exists in one’s life. His healing can completely cure someone, or it may not. It may instead help deal with the condition and bring positivity and peace into their life. Be open to the possibilities.
Even his servant Paul was told, “My grace is sufficient for you,” when he sought healing for the “thorn in his flesh.” Nonetheless, much healing is available to those whose lives are intimately interwoven with God’s. Just ask and you will receive.

In your name I pray, Amen.
A Prayer Against Disease
Lord, your scripture says that you heal all diseases and whoever believes in you will not perish but have an everlasting life. Strengthen me, Lord, in this time of illness. Sustain him as he lays sick in his bed. When you were on Earth, you did all things good and healed all kinds of sickness.
You healed those who had diseases. You died and rose for our sins and that we may have eternal life, Lord. I believe in my heart that you are here with us today and that with your most holy power will remove all sicknesses and evils that roam the earth. Let it be done in your glory, Lord.
We praise and glorify your name, Amen.
A Prayer to Ease Pain
Almighty Father, Thank you for your love, grace and mercy. I pray that my discomforts will turn to comforts, my pains to gains, my deprivation to more blessings, my losses to profits, my tear to smiles, my sorrows to pleasures, my illness to wellness, my debts to credits and my dreams to realities.
As the scripture said “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” And he, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
I trust in you Lord and in you alone to heal me with any form of skepticism towards blessing that you will be employed upon me. I trust, Lord, that this agony and suffering that is only in my head, will come to end and positivism will shine upon me as I read, hear, study and preach the truth in the Bible.
Thanksgiving after Recovery
Almighty God and heavenly Father,
You are the fountain of life and healing. I bless your holy name and offer to you thanks for having delivered me from sickness and restored me to health.
Grant me your eternal grace, I pray, that I may live a new life in true obedience to you. Guide me to do your will in all things devoting my life to your service.
Thus living for you may I be found worthy of your kingdom, where you dwell in glory with your Son and your Holy Spirit forever. Amen.
Psalm 103:3 – He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.
Matthew 7:7 – Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.
James 4:2 – Ye have not, because ye ask not.
2 Corintians 12:7-9 – To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelation, there was given to me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

The Mind Body Spirit Connection
The mind body spirit connection is a wondrous thing. Understanding, supporting, and tapping into its power are three pillars of holistic healing and manifesting your true desires.
Indigenous peoples understand the concept of the mind and body as one It has been part of their belief and healing systems for thousands of years. Elaborate rituals often strengthen belief to make the mind work to heal the body.
But there was more to it. They also understood that a healthy mind helps create a healthy body. A healthy body is important if you want a healthy mind.
It is not only the body that needs healing, but sometimes the mind or spirit. The body may be sick, but the mind or spirit may be the reason. When that is the case, healing the mind brings healing to the body. These understandings have also shaped modern day mind body medicine as well.
Mind body dualism
In the 1600's the philosopher Descartes popularized the notion of mind body dualism. This means that the mind and body are separate entities. This influenced religious theology as well well as medicine. Our conventional allopathic medical model is one of treating parts instead of the whole person.
Despite this erroneous teaching, people seem to have an innate knowledge of their mind body spirit connection. You have probably heard or used expressions these: “He has a broken spirit” or “I knew it in my gut” or “I feel it in my soul.” If your hair ever stood on end when you felt afraid or excited, or felt love in your heart, you have experienced the mindbody connection.
Before they learn to mask their feelings, children demonstrate how the body and mind integrate in perfect synergy. Shrieking screams, tears, red face and flailing arms and legs clearly express their feelings of anger and isolation. Sparkling eyes, full rosy cheeks, cackling laughter, and clapping hands express their delight.
Mind Over Body?
Experts used to believe that the mind was another name for your brain. Now they realize that your mind is also in your body. Our language speaks to this knowing.
You say you have butterflies in your stomach to describe feeling anxious. Babies who have not yet learned to mask their feelings show every nuance in their faces, bodies, and behavior at the same time.
You can watch how quickly their emotions change, ebb and flow by what their bodies are doing.
Although your brain, clearly exerts a powerful influence over your body, there is much more to the mindbody connection than a master-slave relationship. The belief that mind powers and consciousness belong to the brain alone is a belief of the past.
Our intelligence goes far beyond the power of our brains. The brain communicates with the body, and the body communicates with the brain. Each affects the other on a continual basis.
Cells and the mind body spirit connection
Cell biologist Bruce Lipton, PhD ns cells to miniature people. They have the same systems and receptors as skin so they can perceive their environment and the community of cells at large.
Cells are constantly communicating with each other via photons of light in the layer of the human energy field right outside the body. They receive information from the brain and energy field and respond accordingly.
When we experience an emotion, our cells experience the same emotion through energy vibrations and changes in body chemistry. Each cell in the body functions independently and as a member of the community that makes up your body.
Your heart has thousands of its own neurites that initiate communication with the brain and vice versa.
Both brain and heart are involved in receiving, decoding and processing intuitive information. It appears that the heart receives this information first.Did you know that your heart has a much larger electro-magnetic field than your brain? It is the intelligence and energy of the heart in its peaceful, coherent state that positively affects you and others.
Scientists have also found brain- structures in other systems throughout the body.
Manifesting and the Mind Body Spirit Connection
We have much to learn about harnessing the potential of the mind body spirit connection for healing and manifesting our heart desires. The mindbody works in mysterious ways.
People who have experienced spontaneous healing know healing can and does happen without any conscious effort on our part. The same holds true of people who believed they are cursed. They can literally act as zombies, writhe in pain, or be scared to death for no other reason than a suggestion and the subconscious belief in its power.
You can also purposely influence your health and well-being via the mind body spirit connection. For example, resolving negative mental and emotional patterns releases stress and frees up healing energy.
Techniques such as visualization, hypnosis, and energy flow techniques get your subconscious mind to accept suggestions that you want to heal or improve a life situation.
The beauty of working with the mindbody connection is not only in its ability to help you manifest improvements in your health, but to achieve more of what you want in other areas of your life, as well.
Fans of the law of attraction and manifesting techniques understand that unless the energy of your mind, body and soul are fully aligned with your purpose, you can affirm all you want, but what you magnetize energetically will win every time.
Tap into your mindbody connection
Some individuals and metaphysical practitioners use muscle testing or pendulums as a way to access the wisdom of the subconscious for information about anything from which remedies and techniques are best to which foods are harmful, and so on.
Subconscious mind power techniques visualization, hypnosis and emotional releasing techniques are popular methods of positively and purposely tapping into the mind body spirit connection for healing and manifesting.
These techniques are used to deprogram and shift outdated patterns and limiting beliefs. They are used to offer new suggestions to your mind and neutralize the charge of troubling emotions. This frees up mental, spiritual and physical energy that can be used for creating a healthier, happier future.
The mind body spirit connection is more than just an abstraction or a way to get what you want. It is who you are as a wondrous whole being. When you see yourself as a whole being instead of conglomerate of parts, the philosophy of holistic healing and health make perfect sense.
The need to support and care for your whole self becomes as obvious as the need to feed, clothe and wash your body. When you love and care for mind, body and spirit, your whole self will benefit.

Healing Depression by Taking Care of Your Mind, Body, and Spirit
“Suffering is not caused by pain but by resisting pain.”~Unknown
Prior to my twenty-second birthday I was spiraling down a self-destructive path, partying at all hours of the morning and drinking excessively to numb my pain. I was a rebel with a cause, as the lure of the nightlife kept me away from my dysfunctional home.
I was searching for love and happiness in all of the wrong places, but the universe stopped me dead in my tracks, both literally and figuratively, when my brother committed suicide.
Devastated by the loss of his presence in my life and the close bond we once shared, I felt utterly alone. I couldn’t fathom my life without my beloved brother. His death was not something I anticipated.
I needed answers and some sort of explanation as to how a happy-go-lucky young man had changed into a moody and depressive person.
In my grief-stricken state, I went to the public library and retrieved books on suicide and mental illness. I needed to categorize his disease. Was it bipolar, schizophrenia?
Coincidently, I had a medical appointment with a general practitioner. I was a new patient and had never met this doctor before. But I immediately felt at ease with him, and though I went in for a physical reason, I left his office with a plan for self-healing.
After a few sessions with the doctor, I learned about depression, dysfunction, abuse, and addiction. Initially I didn’t know what those terms had to do with me and my brother’s death.
I was completely overwhelmed, and as I excavated my past, I plummeted even deeper in my darkness. I remained stuck in stage four of the grieving process—depression.
My pain was so unbearable I even contemplated my own death. When the doctor offered antidepressants, I declined.
I chose talk therapy as opposed to antidepressants, not because of any stigma, but because I envisioned myself in a vegetated state for the rest of my life.
I already had family members in this predicament and I vowed that it was not going to me. So I was quite aware that I was genetically predisposed to manic or bipolar depression.
After one year of dealing with my issues, I abandoned my own treatment. I was caught up in a whirlwind romance with my prince charming. We got married and built a life that my girlfriends dreamed of.
Yet, I was still unhappy and, after a nine-year relationship, I found myself divorced, picking up the pieces of my life, and headed back to the doctor’s office.I was severely depressed and diagnosed with bipolar tendencies. Still, I stubbornly refused antidepressants.
In my mind, I had already established my happiness was not going to be found in a pill. So I kept searching for what I believed would make me happy, only to self-medicate by stuffing my emotions in binge eating, alcohol, and co-dependent relationships.
I was a walking contradiction and I really “thought” I resolved my past. So why was I still unhappy? Once again the universe stepped in, and third time was definitely not a charm.
For two and a half years I endured a turbulent relationship that had me consumed with passive-aggressive behavior and endless drama. When I severed the ties, I hit rock bottom. It was time for me to confront myself.
I was fed up of repeating the same patterns and I was ready to get serious with my life. I resumed my therapy sessions. I started journaling, and I gradually established a holistic approach to take care of my entire well-being, encompassing mind, body, and spirit.
• Saying positive affirmations three times a day (morning, mid-day, and at night)—such as “I love and accept myself,” “I am at peace in my life,” “I deserve to be happy,” “I feel good physically, mentally, and emotionally”—dispels the negative chatter.
• Focusing on the solution of what’s bothering you is highly effective, instead of fixating on the problem. Worrying only increases stress-levels.
• Reaching out to friends and/or a professional offers support.
• Practicing yoga or any form of exercise increases your energy.
• Eating a balanced diet with lots of greens, reducing processed sugars, and drinking lots of water is not only healthier for your body, it also nourishes the mind. In the book The Ultra Mind, author Mark Hyman correlates how “junk” food can affect our moods and diseases such as depression.
• Sleeping is important, ideally eight hours. You’ll feel refreshed and a lot less prone to making poor choices.
• Acknowledging your emotions instead of burying them with alcohol, sex, food, etc is much more responsible, because you’re 100% in charge of your own happiness.
• Finding at least five things to be grateful for shifts the focus from what you perceive as missing in your life.
• Forgiving others and most of all yourself is necessary in order to let go and move on.
• Praying, journaling, and meditating increases inner calm.
• Listening to your intuition can save you from needless suffering.
The key is consistency and repetition in order to create healthier habits. I know that life can get in the way and some days it can be challenging to cope.
