  7. Plan of Salvation

Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” (Rev 3:20 KJV ).

God so Loved the World

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him would not perish, but have ever lasting life,” (John 3:16).

The above Scripture tells us those who accept Jesus into their life/heart will receive a Glorious Everlasting life with Him in Heaven, but those who refuse will perish, meaning they will receive an eternal damnation with Satan in Hell.

Jesus lived a sinless life while on this earth. He alone was worthy and Holy enough to die on the cross to pay for your sins.

The decision to be born again is one that only you can make; no one else can do it for you.

But when you do He will be with you to comfort, guide, help, and counsel all your earthly days, and when your life on earth is over, you will spend eternity in Heaven with Him. What a wonderful plan of salvation!

Born Again

Becoming born again will be a decision you will never regret, a decision that will take you through eternity with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

All it takes is to believe in your heart, and to profess (say) out loud that you believe in God, and that Jesus is God's Son who came here to die for your sins.

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

“For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved” (Rom 10:9-10).

When you believe the Scripture above, and can make the above statements of faith, you can ask Jesus to come into your heart, and He will. And you can do that right now.

Sometimes people are overly concerned with using the correct words in their prayer to become born again, but they shouldn't because Jesus already knows what is in their heart.

He knows they want to be born again and filled with His Holy Spirit, and that is all that counts. So, the specific words you use are not what is most important.

However, if it will help you feel more secure, to speak the exact words, you can follow the prayer below.

If you have previously done this and for any reason feel uncertain about your salvation you can ask Jesus into your heart again.

“The Sinner's Prayer” is prayed by those who have the desire to be born again.

The Sinner's Prayer
For Those who Desire to be Born-Again

“Lord Jesus, I believe in God and that you are the Son of God as recorded in Your Word. I realize that I am a sinner, and I believe you died for my sins. I now turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and ask for a new life with you. I ask you to come into my heart and life. I receive you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you for saving me, Amen.”

 Your New Christian Life

If you have prayed the above prayer, God now see's you as His Child, pure, clean, and white as snow, “free from blame and guilt.”

Find a local Church and request to be baptized, and begin to associate with other Christians. Ask the questions you are sure to have about your new life in Christ.

Get your own Bible. There are several good versions, the “King James Version” is my favorite, and the “New King James Version” is easy to understand.

You are now a babe in Christ. When Satan tries to interfere with your new Christian life, remember that God's Holy Spirit is always with you and that His power is much greater than Satan's.

Read your Bible every day, and learn to listen to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to lead you into all truth. You will grow in your knowledge and understanding of God's Word and will soon become a mature Christian.

Be sure to tell others about your new life in Christ.

The Angels in Heaven Rejoiced!

“wise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” (Luke 15:10

Please stay in touch and ask any questions.

Jesus loves you even more than you can imagine!

Plan Of Salvation

Thank you for Your Plan of Salvation

Plan of Salvation: Rebirth is the Answer to Life’s Most Important Question
Plan of Salvation — We think life’s most important question is “Are you going to heaven when you die?” It is not a question of how good you are, whether you go to church, or how much money you give to charity. God says, in order to go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3).

Plan of Salvation: How can we be Born Again? The plan of salvation is right in the Bible. God gives us His clear plan for being “born again.

First, we must acknowledge God as the Creator of everything, and accept our humble position in God's creation.

“You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.” (Revelation 4:11).

Next, we must realize that we are sinners. “For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Because we are sinners, we are condemned to death. “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). This includes eternal separation from God. But God loved each of us so much that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, to bear our sin and die in our place. “God demonstrates His love toward us, in that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Although we cannot understand how, God said our sins were laid upon Jesus and He died in our place. Jesus became our substitute. In the Bible, a jailer asked his prisoners, Paul and Silas: “’Sirs, what must I do to be saved?’ So they said, ‘Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved.’” (Acts 16:30-31). It’s very clear in the Bible, believe in Jesus as the one who bore your sins, died in your place, was buried, and whom God resurrected. It’s Christ’s blood and resurrection that assures us of everlasting life when we call on Him as our Lord and Savior. “For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13). “Whosoever” includes each and every one of us.

Therefore, if you understand that you are a sinner, and you believe that Jesus Christ came as the one and only Redeemer of sin, then you understand the plan of salvation. The question is – are you ready to implement the plan, by receiving God’s gift of His Son, Jesus Christ? If so, believe in Christ, repent of your sins, and commit the rest of your life to Him as Lord:

“Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.”

“Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 2:38)

If you decided to receive Jesus today, welcome to God's family. Now, as a way to grow closer to Him, the Bible tells us to follow up on our commitment.

  • Get baptized as commanded by Christ.
  • Tell someone else about your new faith in Christ.
  • Spend time with God each day. It does not have to be a long period of time. Just develop the daily habit of praying to Him and reading His Word. Ask God to increase your faith and your understanding of the Bible.
  • Seek fellowship with other followers of Jesus. Develop a group of believing friends to answer your questions and support you.
  • Find a local church where you can worship God.

WHAT DO YOU THINK? – We have all sinned and deserve God's judgment. God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, “Jesus is Lord,” you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven. What is your response?

Yes, today I am deciding to follow Jesus

Yes, I am already a follower of Jesus

I still have questions

Verses of Hope for Understanding God’s Plan of Salvation

Thank you for Your Plan of Salvation

We believe our greatest HOPE comes when we know we are loved and our future is secure.

This is the story of the Bible. God loves you and has prepared a place in heaven for you. And you can receive the gift of salvation by believing in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

There is great freedom in accepting the gift of salvation because there is nothing you can do to earn your way to heaven. Jesus gives it freely to all who believe in him. The God of the universe humbled himself to death on a cross to pay the price for all our sins. Why would he do this?  Because he wants a relationship with you eternally.  You are that important!

To understand this beautiful story of salvation in Jesus Christ fully, here are a few key verses from the Bible:

God Saves Us because He Love Us

John 3:16-17 – For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16-17

1 Timothy 1:15 – Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.  1 Timothy 1:15

Romans 5:8 – But God demonstrates his own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  Romans 5:8

Jesus is the Only Way to be Saved

John 14:6 – Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Acts 4:11-12 – This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

2 Corinthians 5:21 –Christ never sinned but God put our sin on Him. Then we are made right with God because of what Christ has done for us.

Ephesians 2:1-10 – As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.

All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Titus 3:5 – He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.

Hebrews 10:22 – Let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.

God’s Plan of Salvation from the book of Romans:

Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 6:23 – The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 10:9-10 – If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Romans 10:13 – For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Pray These Things from Your Heart

If you want this hope, you can pray right now to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. It doesn’t need to be anything scripted. Just pray these things from your heart:

  • Admit you are a sinner in need of forgiveness.
  • Confess your sins.
  • Thank Him for Jesus’ death on the cross that paid the price for those sins.
  • Ask Him to be Lord of your life.

If it helps, here is an example of what you could pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

I’m sorry for the wrong things I’ve done. Please forgive me. I believe your Son died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead, and because of this I will enter into heaven when I die. Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. I willingly give you my life. Now, Father, help me do your will. Thank you again for saving me! In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

If you have prayed this prayer – congratulations! There is much rejoicing in heaven!

Bible Verses About Salvation: God’s Plan For Us

Thank you for Your Plan of Salvation

Of all the Bible verse posts that are gathered here on WCWTK, this is the one that I urge you to read most carefully. It is the one that talks about the most important opportunity you will ever have in this lifetime. It is the one that lists Bible verses about salvation.

These are Bible verses that define salvation, teach us of it’s assuredly and help us to take Jesus to others. As a Christian and ambassador for Christ, these Bible verses about salvation are the best tools you can have in your heart.

Study them, write them done so that when the opportunity presents itself, you will have an answer for the hope that lies within you (1 Peter 3:15)

What must I do to be saved?

God Made a Perfect Garden and Put Man in it

Genesis 2:8 And the LORD God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there he put the man whom he had formed.

God Gave Man Only One Rule and the Consequence for Disobedience

Genesis 3:3 but God said, ‘You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’”

Man and His Wife Disobeyed

Genesis 3:6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate.

God is the Judge and What He Says Goes

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

God is Gracious and Patient; God Gives Second Chances

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

God’s Grace is a Gift and We Don’t Earn it because Christ Did All the Work Already at the Cross

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9  not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Titus 3:4-7  But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

When You Believe This, Salvation from Death in Hell is Yours

John 3:18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

John 3:36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

Acts 4:11-12 “…This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. 12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

God’s Plan is for You to Enjoy Eternity with Him

Colossians 1:5 … because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. Of this you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel

1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.

1 John 3:2 Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be him, because we shall see him as he is.

Revelation 22:5 And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.

Today is the Day

If this is the first time you have really considered these verses and you would to have salvation, then today is the day! Believe what Jesus did for you more than 2,000 years ago; come to Jesus and let us know you did so we can rejoice with you and welcome you into the family of God.
