Prayer To Watch Over Your Children Tonight

5 Prayers to Pray Over Your Kids Before School

Prayer To Watch Over Your Children Tonight

This morning marked a huge milestone in the Ryan House – our oldest son, Gideon, started Kindergarten!

I’ve been through all of the typical emotions that moms have when they drop off their “babies” at school for the first time, but the truth is, I’ve been a bit nervous about this all summer.

Until now, I’ve been able to keep Gideon in this safe, secure, protected bubble in which the only outside influences he’s had on his life have been through family members or church friends.

So there’s a part of me that halfway expects him to come home from his first day outside the safe bubble (you know, public school!) cussing a sailor, fighting with his brother, and asking about sex.

Irrational. Illogical. Dramatic… I know. But it’s still enough to make a first-time school mom hesitate.

But rather than allow these irrational fears to fester, I’ve spent the last few months trying to channel them into something productive instead. Yes, we have to let our children go. Yes, parenting is a journey in which you guide another individual toward independence. But thankfully, God gives us instructions on how we should do this.

You (and I) don’t have to send our children out into the scary world of public school empty-handed. In fact, there are two essential things we can send with them, and here’s what makes them so powerful: they’re both weapons!

Have you ever seen this sign at a school before:
Well, just disregard it! Because weapons are exactly what your child needs!

“Take…the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.” (Eph. 6:17-18)

When Paul talks about the Armor of God in Ephesians 6, he mentions two offensive weapons that every believer is to equip himself with:

We need to equip our children with these weapons as well, and one of the best, most practical ways to do this is by praying God’s Word over your child.

So here are five ready-made prayers straight from Scripture that you can use to pray over your child. I suggest doing this out loud, in the presence of your child, so that he or she can hear you praying. This can be done at bedtime the night before school, or in the morning on your way to school. You can also repeat these prayers on your own throughout the day.

(Note that the prayers include verses of praise in addition to requests for blessings. This was very intentional. By hearing you praise God for who He is, your child will not only learn more about God, he/she will be more ly to develop a spirit of praise and thanksgiving him/herself. To use the prayers, simply insert your child’s name in the blank and specify the correct gender.)

Blessings to you and your kiddos!

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you, Lord, that you are near to all who call on you in truth. You fulfill the desires of those who fear you; you hear their cries and save them.

Thank you God for watching over all who love you (Psalm 145:18-20) Now I pray that ___ would not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, that he/she would present his/her requests to you, God. And I pray that your peace, which transcends all understanding, will guard his/her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. (Phil.

4:6-7) For you, o Lord, are righteous in all your ways and faithful in all you do. May our mouths speak in praise of you, and may every creature praise your holy name for ever and ever. (Psalm 145:17, 21) Amen.

Dear God,
Thank you that you understand the way to wisdom. You alone know where it dwells, for you view the ends of the earth and see everything under the heavens.

(Job 28:23-24) So if ___ lacks wisdom, I pray that he/she would ask you, God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him/her. But when he/she asks, I pray that he/she would believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

(James 1:5-6) Now we praise you, Lord, for blessed are those who fear you and who find great delight in your commands. (Psalm 112:1) Amen.

Dear Lord,
Walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts. Our souls yearn for you in the night, and in the morning our spirits long for you.

(Isa 26:8-9) With this in mind, I constantly pray for ___, that you may make him/her worthy of your calling, and that by your power you may bring to fruition his/her every desire for goodness and his/her every deed prompted by faith.

I pray this so that the name of your son, our Lord Jesus, may be glorified in him/her, and he/she in you, according to your grace. (2 Thes. 1:11-12) Now to the King eternal, immortal, and invisible, to you, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (1 Tim. 1:17)

Dear God,
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; love and faithfulness go before you. Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you and who walk in the light of your presence, Lord.

(Psalm 89:14-15) And this is my prayer for ___: that his/her love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that he/she may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of you, God. (Phil.

1:9-11) For we rejoice in your name all day long and celebrate your righteousness. You are our glory and strength, and by your favor you exalt our horn. (Psalm 89:16-17) Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Our frames were not hidden from you when we were made in the secret place, when we were woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw our unformed bodies, and all the days ordained for us were written in your book before one of them came to be. (Psalm 139:15-16) Thank you for creating ___.

I pray that no one would look down on him/her because he/she is young. Instead, I pray that he/she would set an example for the other believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. (1 Tim. 4:12) For you created his/her inmost being; you knit him/her together in his/her mother’s womb.

We praise you because we are fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:13-14) Amen.

Powerful Blessings to Pray Over Your Children

Prayer To Watch Over Your Children Tonight

God has given us many tools to a raise our children. One of the most powerful tools is our language. It’s important that when it comes to our children that we use our language for good.

Proverbs 18:21 teaches us, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Our kind words bring warmth into our relationships with our children; harsh words bring tension and separation.

Positive words build trust and confidence with our children; lies break trust.

There is a season in life when our children depend on us to do everything for them. However, as they transition into adulthood, we must continually release them to the Lord.

This shift in power isn’t always easy and we may overstep our boundaries to do more than we should.

Yet, when we have released our children into God’s hands, we can pray over them in faith, trusting in God to do great work in their lives.

In the midst of our busy lives, we have to ask ourselves: Are we praying for our children? Are we praying, powerful, promise-filed, hope-inspired prayers? Are we praying God’s Word and promises over their lives? We are challenged each and every day to pray more, particularly for those who we care about most. The Enemy is a trickster and he will use any tactic he can to break your family down and destroy your relationships with each other. It’s important that you recognize that there is a battle over families today, and that we should do everything in our power to protect those we hold dear in our lives. Prayer should be your starting place. It is essential that we pray over our children and families, so that we may stay alert, aware and are able to discern God’s voice against any force trying to destroy us. You can begin today by lifting up powerful blessings to pray over your children.

A Prayer for Blessings

A great verse to pray over your children is from Numbers 6:24-26 which says, “The Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you, the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.

” The words we use in our child’s life have the power either to bless or curse, to build up others or to tear them down. Sometimes, our words have more power than we realize. The blessings in Numbers 6:24-26 declare that God will “keep” you, be “gracious” to you and give you “peace.

” This means our words for our children can “keep” them – that is reassure, protect and support. Our words can be full of grace, making a situation in their life better than it otherwise would be.

We can accept responsibility for an error we made in a situation with our child, for example, rather than shifting the blame by minimizing our world. Our words can bring peace by restoring relationships when they have been broken. Trust in the power of invoking God’s blessing in your child’s life.

A Prayer for Encouragement

Another great verse to pray over your child if you want to encourage them is Ephesians 4:29 which says, “Do not let any unwholesome talk come your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

” It’s important that we pray that our language be transformed, that we lift our children up with our language as opposed to tearing them down with our words.

If you turn on any TV show on any night of the week, you not have to watch very long before you hear examples of speech that tears down others. Most of the comedy on TV sitcoms comes from husbands and wives, parents and children, or co-workers putting each other down.

But this is characteristic of our old life, not of our new life in Christ. Rather than using your words to tear your children down, use your words to build them up.

A Prayer to Enlist the Power of the Holy Spirit

If you’re ready to bring blessings into your child’s life, pray that God will give them a spirit of power, love and sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

” In times of fear, it’s important that your child is ready to stand in power, love and a sound mind under the power of the Holy Spirit. Their faith in God will be strengthened when they overcome the spirit of fear.

When they do this, they will be better armed for spirit attack and find themselves growing into strong warriors for Christ.

A Prayer to Eliminate Anxiety

Next, pray that your child will not be anxious about anything. Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7). Our children are filled with worries just we are.

They have to deal with everything from peer and social pressure, to bullying, relationship and family problems. They also have to deal with the constant images of crime and unrest flashed on our TV screens daily.

We must pray that they will grow in their trust in God to keep them and prepare them for the future. When we teach our children to pray to God regularly with their requests, both small and great, we help them build a stronger faith in God.

8 Great Bible Verses to Pray Over Your Child

Prayer To Watch Over Your Children Tonight

When our children were babies, they depended us on to do everything for them. However, as they grow up, we must continually release them to the Lord. It’s not always easy and we may overstep our boundaries to do more than what we should.

Yet when we have released them into God’s hands—we are free to pray over them in faith—trusting in God to do His great work in their lives.

Begin today to pray these 8 great Bible verses over your children or grandchildren regardless of their ages:

Lord, I pray that you bless and keep them throughout the day

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace” (Numbers 6:24-26).

This was the prayer of Moses over the children of Israel and it’s still as necessary to pray over our children in these last and evil days. The blessings of the Lord are much greater than financial wealth; rather the blessings of joy, peace, and love along with the knowledge of God has tremendous pay offs for their future.

Lord, I pray that your light will shine through them

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).

The light of Christ within our children can’t be put under a bushel and hidden away. We want our children to stand unashamed of the Lord in the darkness. Their words and actions will reveal the light within them, draw others to Christ, and establish them in the community of believers.

Lord, I pray that you would give them a spirit of power, love, and sound mind

“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline” (2 Timothy 1:7).

In times of fear, our children have to be ready to stand in power, love, and a sound mind under the influence of the Holy Spirit. Their faith in God will be strengthened when they overcome the spirit of fear. No matter their age, they will find themselves growing into strong warriors for Christ.

Praying for our children with Bible verses can strengthen our faith …

Lord, I pray that they will not be anxious about anything

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” (Philippians 4:6).

There are tremendous number of children who are filled with worries—from their family problems to the issues of crime and unrest in the world.

We must pray that they will grow in their trust in God to keep them and prepare them for the future.

Teaching our children to pray to God regularly with their requests—both small and great—helps them build a stronger faith in God.

Lord, I pray that they will know that You are with them

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:6).

Every believer at one time or another will feel God has abandoned them. Yet we learn to overcome that feeling as we grow in our trust in His faithfulness and promise to never leave us. We must train our children to look to the Lord even before they look to us. In this way, they will grow their confidence in God’s presence whether they sense Him or not.

Lord, I pray that they will grow in the grace and knowledge of God

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen” (2 Peter 3:18).

Our children’s awareness of God’s grace and knowledge is rooted in how acquainted they are with the Bible. The less they know, the less they will grow. Yet the more they know, meditate, and apply God’s word in their everyday lives—they will grow spiritually and become greater influencers over those God has placed around them.

Lord, I pray that they will stand for what is right

“Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place” (Ephesians 6:14).

Peer pressure on every level is hard. The children who choose the narrow and straight way of eternal life will feel the angst of those who follow the broad way to destruction. We can’t always be there to nudge them in the right direction, but we can pray for their strength in the day of temptation to choose what is right.

Lord, I pray that they will know Jesus Christ more intimately

“I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead” (Philippians 3:10-11).

Our children can know about our relationship with Jesus without ever having ownership of this knowledge for themselves. We must pray and be sensitive to the leading of the Spirit to guide them to know Jesus for themselves. When given the right promptings, they will eventually learn to recognize His voice speaking to their hearts.

Lord, I pray…

Are you praying for your children every day? As parents and grandparents, we can’t afford to give way to Satan by neglecting this great privilege.

Praying for our children with Bible verses can strengthen our faith especially if we don’t readily see the spiritual fruit.

We lay the foundation of living what we believe and praying with all earnest that our children will walk in faith to accomplish great things for the Lord.

12 Powerful Verses to Pray Over Our Children {with free printable}

Prayer To Watch Over Your Children Tonight

My pre-conceived notion was that parenting was about making peanut butter sandwiches and tucking kids into bed at night. About kissing boo-boos and reminding them to close the front door. And mostly about being kind to others and learning to love God.

About loving, correcting, supporting, cheering, and then loving them some more.

But I can see now that parenting is also a whole lot about prayer.

And for a while there I thought it was just me. You know, I wasn’t doing enough right or I wasn’t quite enough or…..something.

That I found myself so often throwing myself down on my knees. Calling out to God.

With a heart-cry to keep our kids safe – and hopefully thriving-  in this world we find ourselves living in.

But I was recently talking with a dear friend of mine who also happens to be a seasoned parent—and a really good parent too.

She mentioned to me that she relies more on prayer now than ever before.

And I confess that I was glad to hear it.

So whether you’re a “seasoned” parent or a brand-new fresh one, let me encourage you that your prayers will have a powerful impact on your children – both now and for the rest of their lives.

You’ll find that some of your best parenting happens when you’re humbly bent down on your knees.

1.   Strength

Pray that God gives them the strength to do what they need to do each day.

I can do all things through him who strengthens me. ~ Philippians 4:13

2.   Courage

Pray that they will be brave as they face the challenges that are before them.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. ~ Joshua 1:9

3.   Peace

Ask that their hearts will be calm and peaceful as they go through their day and in their sleep at night.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. ~ Philippians 4:6

4.   Provision

Ask God to provide for all that they need – for stamina, spirit, and finances – for each day.

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. ~ Philippians 4:19

5.   Direction

Pray that the Lord will lead them as they begin to make more and more decisions as they get older.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

6.   Protection

Ask that God keeps them safe in this increasingly unsafe world. That He will protect them from harm and wickedness.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. Psalm 91:1-2

7.   Joy

Pray that God fills them with the kind of joy that can only come from Him.

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. ~ Psalm 16:11

8.   Compassion

Pray that they will show compassion on those in need and who have less than they do.

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. ~ Ephesians 4:32

9.   Justice

Ask God to give them a sense of justice – to stand up for what is right and to defend the weak.

Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause. ~ Isaiah 1:17

10.   Wisdom

Pray that they will grow in wisdom and understanding. That they’ll be more than “smart” and embrace what is good and right.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. ~ James 1:5

11.   Hope

Ask God to give them the hope that comes from above – the kind that far exceeds what we have in the here and now.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. ~ Romans 15:13

12.   Love

Pray that our children are filled with the love of God. That they will know how deeply they are loved, and that love will overflow onto others.

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. ~ 2 Corinthians 13

Want to hear one more unexpected blessing of praying these things for our children? We can pray the same requests for ourselves.

So, as I go over these verses, I remind myself that they are true for me too.

Prayer To Watch Over Your Children Tonight

Powerful prayers for children

Children are a precious gift from God. So, when the challenges of life come along, it’s easy to fear for their futures. But praise God, we have the gift of praying for children we know and love, and those around the world who may be facing difficult times.

Praying for children is one of the most powerful things you can do as a parent, carer or compassionate Christian. That’s why we’ve gathered together 10 prayers for children.

When inclined to worry about the future of our children – as we naturally do from time to time – use this special collection of prayers to lift up your children to our loving Heavenly Father. Be encouraged by our unique prayers for children written by Compassion Ambassadors.

“Father God, we ask for your blessing today as we pray these prayers over our children. We praise you that every day we can trust in your goodness. Amen”

1. Prayers for my children’s protection

Take encouragement from the fact that our God is fully in control of all things. Remind yourself that “we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

Prayer: Lord God, we praise you that you are fully in control of all things. I pray you would protect my child. Keep them healthy and help them to thrive. I thank you that you know every hair on their head. You know exactly when they rise and when they fall. Watch over my child in every area of their life and keep them safe I pray, Amen.

2. Prayers from Compassion Ambassadors

As well as praying for your children, it’s great to make a difference in your prayers by remembering some of the most vulnerable children around the world. Praise God, that when you sponsor a child living in poverty, you give them security and hope for the future!

We invited singer-songwriters and Compassion ambassadors, Chloe Reynolds and Philippa Hanna, to share a prayer for kids around the world.

A prayer for precious children around the world from Philippa Hanna:

Dear Lord Jesus. Thank you so much for all the precious children in this world. We know they mean so much to you. We pray you would help us do all we can to protect and give them the start in life they deserve.

Lord we bring to you all of the wonderful work being done to release children from poverty, and we pray that you would bless every pair of hands that works for you.

Increase and bless their efforts in Jesus name, Amen.

A prayer of thanks to Christ know knew what it was to be a child by Chloe Reynolds:

Thank you Jesus that you have lived here as one of us, you know what it's to be a child, and to feel everything that children feel. Thank you that we as adults have everything we need to encourage, nurture and provide for those in need.

I pray for children around the world that you would be in their lives and they would grow up knowing they are loved by you. As you bless them with opportunities in their local projects, I pray they would be able to change lives for others in their communities too. Amen

3. Prayers for children’s futures

In the uncertainty of life, give thanks that God has good plans for your children. He will give them a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you that all good gifts come from you. I thank you that I can trust you for the future of my family. Please guide my child in every step they take. I pray they would know your provision and protection. Make steady their steps I pray. Amen

4. Prayers for children’s education

Praise God for the educational opportunities He’s given your child! Pray for them to grow in intrigue and wonder at world around them. Ask that they would develop a real love of learning. “For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.” Proverbs 2:6

Prayer: God I thank you for the gift of knowledge! I praise you that you provide us with brains to think and question the world around us. I pray you would help my child learn well and flourish. May they discover their unique talents and giftings. Give them a passion for the world around them. Amen

5. Prayers for children’s friendships

As these Bible verses about friendship remind us, relationships truly are a gift. Take a moment to pray for your child to know the support of great friends around them.

Prayer: Father God, I thank you that you made us to be in relationship with others. I pray for my child to know great care and support from those around them. May they be encouraged by friends at school, college or university. May they show your love and care to their friendship circle. Amen

6. Prayers for those caring for children

Child advocate and President Emeritus of Compassion, Wess Stafford, shares a prayer for all those caring for children to know God’s patience and grace. Take time to pray that you would know God’s hand on your life as you care for children.

Prayer: We love You so much, Lord! We surrender fully to You and pray that Your love will guide us today and every day. May we simply be conduits of Your love to the children in our care. Amen

“Watch carefully the children around you. In precious moments you will catch a glimpse of your Saviour’s face. Listen intently and you will hear his voice.

Walk gently among them; his footprints are all around you. Embrace them, for you are embracing him. Respect them, because they are sometimes God’s agents – exactly the kind of instruments he needs.

At such times, only a child will do.” Wess Stafford

7. Prayers for baby and newborns

Babies are such a precious gift. Thank God that He is the author and giver of life! “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” Psalm 139:13

Prayer: Lord God, we thank you for the gift of new life. We thank you for this precious baby’s safe arrival into our world. We pray this baby would sleep peacefully and be kept from harm.

We pray you would bless this child as they grow. Keep them safe and strong in the weeks, months and years ahead. Give us grace and strength through the highs and lows of caring for a newborn baby. In Jesus’ name.

5 Prayers To Pray For Your Children Today

Prayer To Watch Over Your Children Tonight

Here are 5 prayers that you can pray for your children or grandchildren today that I believe are biblically sound.

Prayer for Protection

Righteous Father, our children are so precious to us and so how much more precious are they to You. Please give me peace of mind that reassures me to know that You go before them and are always with them, when I cannot be.

Since I know that Your eye is on the sparrow and we are of much more value to You than they, I thank You that I can trust You to watch over them all the day and all the night.

What a privilege to be able to come to You and ask for You to be watching over them and for Your blessing upon them and it is through Your great Son’s name, and for His glory, Jesus Christ, that I pray. Amen.

Prayer at Bedtime

Great God, oh Creator in heaven, blessed be Your name. I thank You for sheltering and keeping my children safe today and now, as my precious little ones lay down to sleep, I thank You for these beloved gifts from You, as I know children are a gift You have given to us.

I treasure them so much and am so thankful for their lives and how their love has touched my heart and changed it forever.

I know Your love is so much greater and was no better displayed for me to see than on the cross at Calvary and for Jesus’ precious blood I give You thanks and in the Lamb of God’s name, Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

Prayers for the Teen Years

Lord God my Father, sometimes I cannot fully express with words what is on my mind so please listen with Your heart as my words often fail to let you know what I feel. In many ways children are a mystery to me.

I don’t always know what to say to them, I never know how to say it, and sometimes I feel at a loss about the things that they go through. I am often unable to help them when they are going through emotional and traumatic experiences in their life, at school or with their friends.

Give me Your wisdom to know what to say and when to say it and help me to learn what not to say too.

You know what they are feeling right now and I don’t so please reveal to me Your wisdom so that I can care for these teens who often don’t know how to deal with life and I acknowledge my helplessness at times and entrust You to give me the right words and in the mighty name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

Prayer for Patience

God, my Father, I need Your to help me deal with my anger at times. My young children often make bad choices and they suffer the consequences for them. I need Your help so much to try and guide them without pushing them. I don’t always know how to give them advice and not sound I’m preaching to them.

Sometimes they act they are not listening and I need to know when to back off and when to speak up and when to apply discipline and when to be a consultant for them.

I have a hard time finding the right balance so please give me the wisdom to discern exactly how to talk to them and when it’s better to say nothing at all and in the strong name of Jesus Christ and for His glory I pray. Amen.

Prayer for Clashing Siblings

Holy, Righteous God, we are fearfully and wonderfully made and no two children are a and I have difficulty in trying to be a go-between for my children. Sometimes it seems that they almost want to kill each other and it is hard to be a peacemaker when I don’t always know who it was that started the confrontation between them.

Help me to discern what to say and also how to make them be more loving to one another.

How can I teach them to be kind and compassionate toward each other and forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave them, when they are seemingly in constant conflict? I leave this heavy burden in Your capable hands and give it up to You and in the King of kings and Lord of lord’s name, Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

One of my favorite prayers and one that is special to those of the Jewish faith is Numbers 6:24-26 “The LORD bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.” That is my prayer for every parent, grandparent, foster parent, and caregiver. We need all of God’s help that we can get!
