I don’t think there is anyone that really enjoys waiting for something.  Think about it for a minute, do you to wait?  The answer for most of us is an emphatic NO!!!  We hate waiting at the doctor’s office or in line at the DMV (department of motor vehicles) or even for our Big Mac at the McDonald’s drive thru window, we simply do not to wait.

  What about if we have to ‘wait on God?’  Sometimes we may be praying and praying for something and maybe we even get to the place where we are not sure that God even hears our prayers anymore.  Waiting and having patience is a topic where there are many Bible verses to choose from.

Sometimes I wonder how someone is led to an article that I am writing.  I know that just I do on my own computer, I often Google a topic and read what is offered on the site because whatever I have searched for is an issue or a desire in my life.

Maybe you are having a hard time dealing with a situation in which you are having to wait. Maybe you have searched this article because you feel God has not heard your prayers.  Nothing is harder on us than waiting on God to answer.  It may even test our faith.

Friends, just know that God has not forgotten about you. Please do not try to run ahead of God or take matters in your own hands. This will usually lead to pain and frustration and many times sin. God does indeed hear your prayer and knows what is best for you and your life.

Wait on Him because He cares for you.

THEY THAT WAIT UPON THE LORD SHALL RENEW THEIR STRENGTH – Waiting on God, those that wait upon the Lord scriptures

In the natural it would seem, the more we wait the more frustrated and disillusioned we would become. Not so in the Kingdom of God. We can wait upon the Lord in confidence knowing that our hope will not be cut off (Proverbs 23:18). The more we wait on the Lord, the stronger our hope and the deeper our strength.

When we wait upon the Lord in His Presence, our heavy burdens and cares are laid at His feet. We find answers to circumstances that once seemed impossible. We trade our weakness for God’s strength and our uncertainty for God’s assurance.

“Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!” (Psalm 27:14 NKJV)

In the waiting, the voice of our mind becomes stilled as it settles in the reality and awareness of the greatness of His Presence. His voice becomes the voice we hear rather than the turmoil of our busy minds.

Let your mind be still and wait upon the Lord for His direction and answers. The more we learn how to quieten ourselves and listen, the easier it becomes to hear God speak to our hearts.

As we wait upon the Lord in His Presence, our hearts are realigned to the greater truth of Who He is.

During this time of encounter and seeking God’s face, he found the solution and answers to his problem. God’s response to Him as he waited was, “You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord” (2 Chron. 20:17 NKJV).

As Jehoshaphat waited, the Lord came through on His behalf.

Waiting on God is not for His benefit but for ours. It’s in the waiting that our strength is renewed. It’s in the waiting that our hearts are realigned and refreshed.

It’s in the waiting that we find the answers and discover God’s wisdom for the situation rather than merely our own.

Today as you wait upon the Lord, allow His strength and hope to fill your heart knowing that in His Presence is everything you need.

Lord, I am weary and don’t know when this “race” will end in my life. I feel I’ve been running forever, trying to outrun this trial. Help me to stop trying to outrun my pain but rather run with endurance the race you have set before me. I know that because of you I am ultimately a victor over the trials in my life.

I know that nothing in this world can separate me from your steadfast love. Please give me a measure of your love today; give me the strength to endure this trial.

Thank you for your love for me that never ends! And thank you for the crown of joy that awaits me forever in your Kingdom!

They Who Wait for the Lord Shall Renew their Strength

Thus says the LORD: To whom then will you n God, or what ness compare with him? The idol! a workman casts it, and a goldsmith overlays it with gold, and casts for it silver chains. He who is impoverished chooses for an offering wood that will not rot; he seeks out a skillful craftsman to set up an image that will not move.

Have you not known? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth? It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens a curtain, and spreads them a tent to dwell in; who brings princes to naught, and makes the rulers of the earth as nothing.Scarcely are they planted, scarcely sown, scarcely has their stem taken root in the earth, when he blows upon them, and they wither, and the tempest carries them off stubble.To whom then will you compare me, that I should be him? Says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name; by the greatness of his might, and because he is strong in power not one is missing.

Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, “My way is hidden from the LORD, and my right is disregarded by my God”? Have you not known? Have you not heard?
