Prayer That I Will Not Lose My Current Job

Prayer Points For Job Breakthrough

Prayer That I Will Not Lose My Current Job

Are you in need of a breakthrough in your job search? Are you ready for God to open doors for you related to a new career? Powerful prayers that work for your job search are those that you pray with faith, believing that God can perform miracles and invite God or his messengers to do so in the situation you’re facing. The Bible tells us, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know” (Jeremiah 33:3). You can call to God through prayer.

The Lord has endowed us all with some talent, and wishes us to express those gifts that He has given us for the good of all. Saying prayers for employment also affirm our understanding of our own inner talents and abilities. Here are six prayers points for job breakthrough:

Command the spirit of confidence to command the interview:

We know that when we’re sitting at the interview table we are supposed to be confident, or at least appear as if we are. But anyone who has been on the job hunt for a long time knows that it’s easy to lose your confidence in the face of rejection. It’s important that you command the spirit of confidence and trust in God’s power as you walk into that next interview:

Dear God, you know how much need a new job – both for financial income, and the opportunities it would provide to use the talents you’ve given me to help make the world a better place. You also know God, how hard I’ve tried to find a job. But so far, all the hard work I’ve done during my job search hasn’t led to any job offers.

I’m frustrated, my confidence has been shaken and I’m worried about my future. God, please send the miraculous breakthrough I need to get a new job soon. Guide me to opportunities to network with the right people, learn about the right hob openings to apply for, and figure out how best to develop my skills so I’ll be prepared for my next job.

I believe that there are no limits to what you can do for me. Amen.

Command the spirit of failure at the edge of breakthrough to die in the name of Jesus:

Our Heavenly Father gives us the courage to face any fear, doubt or uncertainty in the power we have been given to accomplish great things. If you’re in need of a job break through, command the spirit of failure to be gone in Jesus’ name:

Dear God, You know I have always struggled with insecurities and this is becoming especially difficult now as I search for a new job. I have a warped perspective of who I am.

It has been so challenging for me to disregard those thoughts of insecurity and lean on your truths. I ask that You would rewire my mind and eliminate the spirit of failure that is trying to claim my heart.

I know that all things are possible through you.

Thank God for His provisions and every good thing He has done for you:

It’s Important that we thank God for His goodness and faithfulness in our lives. As you search for a new job, trust that He is leading you into a new land, a spacious land filled with blessed and opportunity:

Dear God, as I search for a new job, I admit that I am nervous and fearful and worried about failing. But I choose to stand and keep my eyes on You as You lead me forward in Your purposes. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Claim the power to overcome and excel among all the job competitors in the name of Jesus:

It’s not always easy being too confident when you walk in the job interview. That’s why it’s important to keep God at the center and call on His power to help you stand out next to your competition:

Dear Father, thank you for the wonderful skills and gifts You’ve so freely given me. I surrender all I am to You. Come guide my path as I look for new work. Help me to stand out among all the job competitors. If it is Your Will, I know it will be done. I claim it in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Claim miracle breakthrough power in your daily life:

Often, when we pray for miracles to happen in our lives, we are also praying for healing to happen in our lives as well. We see countless examples of healing happening in Scripture through Jesus’ healing power. The same is possible in our daily lives:

Lord Jesus, heal me. Heal in me whatever You see needs healing. Heal me of whatever might separate me from you. Heal my memory, heal my heart, heal my emotions, heal my spirit, heal my body and heal my soul. Lay Your hands gently upon me and Heal me through Your love for me. Amen.

Be more cognizant of God’s miracle power in all circumstances:

Miracle power testifies that God’s touch is always a heartbeat away. It’s important that we are conscious of God at work in our lives daily. Miracle power can happen in your life when you have faith and trust that miracles can really happen. Are you ready to unleash that miracle power? This prayer will guide you:

Heavenly Father, I open my heart wide to receive the love of God. As I receive God’s love as universal supply, all my affairs are healed.

I realize and accept the healing power of the Universe as love, and I allow the healing power that is love to penetrate my life. I readily accept the healing power of love in my life and I know that as love, God is my limitless and abundant supply made manifest.

I feel the outpouring of God’s love in my body and mind. I feel God’s love in my affairs, and I know all is well. Amen.

Claim the power to not be limited and the spirit of confidence to step your comfort zone:

Is God Taking a Long Time To Come Through? Here’s What To Do

Prayer That I Will Not Lose My Current Job

“So Moses told the people of Israel what the Lord had said, but they refused to listen anymore. They had become too discouraged by the brutality of their slavery.”- Exodus 6:9

At the time when this verse was written, the children of Israel, God’s chosen people, were slaves in Egypt under Pharaoh’s iron fist.

The Lord had given them the promise that one day they would be freed from slavery and taken to the Promised Land.

However, when they faced opposition and weren’t freed exactly when they thought they’d be, they lost hope of the Lord’s deliverance altogether.

They became so discouraged that they refused to listen to God anymore.

Their hearts became hardened because they chose to magnify their current situation instead of the Lord’s faithfulness.

Similar to the Israelites, as Christians, we too will face opposition.

We too will face times of great suffering.

We too will have certain promises given directly to us from the Lord that we’re still waiting to be fulfilled, and prayers we’ve cried out to Him that have yet to be answered.

But does this mean our God is not good?

Does it mean His eyes are blind to our suffering, His ears deaf to our cries?

Absolutely not.

God is good all the time, and all the time our God is good!

God, Are You Still There?

One thing you can be sure of is that God is working behind the scenes.

The truth is, not only does God hear our prayers, but He also promises to answer them according to His will for our lives.

It means God has reasons for His delays.

Reasons for how and when He chooses to answers our prayers.

And reasons for our seasons of waiting, uncertainty, persecution, opposition and yes even suffering.

What I love about this story, is just how much of God’s mercy, grace, goodness, and faithfulness is displayed in the lives of His children.

Yes, the Israelites lost heart.

Yes, they were discouraged.

But, God kept His promise to them.

He delivered them Egypt and into the Promised Land.

They were blessed beyond their wildest dreams not because they were “good” people, but because they were His chosen people.

Don’t forget how God parted the Red Sea, knocked down the walls of Jericho, and used a shepherd boy named David to defeat the giant Goliath with only a stone and a sling!

Don’t forget how God turned water into wine, opened the eyes of the blind, healed the sick, and sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, in this world to die on a cross and rise again for the forgiveness of our sins!

How truly great is our God!

So if God is the same today, yesterday and forever,  then is anything too hard for Him?

Is anything impossible for Him?

The answer surely is no.

The same God who was with these men and woman back then is surely the same God who is with us now.

Our God is greater!

Our God is stronger!

Our God is able to do absolutely anything!

God, Are You Going to Keep Your Promise?

God is faithful to His Word.

If God says it will happen then it will, and if He says it won’t happen then it won’t.

The name of our Savior is “Faithful and True”. (Rev. 19:11)

We can trust Him.

God will never deceive us, play tricks on us, lie to us, or lead us on in order to let us down.

Just because we may not see God’s almighty hands at work in our lives, it doesn’t mean He’s not working.

Just because we are still waiting for God to fulfill a promise, it doesn’t mean that He’ll never fulfill it.

And just because God may choose to allow us to experience hardship, it doesn’t mean that He doesn’t care.

It’s during these times that we need to really hold on to the promises He gives us without wavering in our faith.

We need to stop allowing our feelings and emotions to take precedence over the truth of God’s Word.

We need to stop doubting God and to start trusting that He knows what’s best for us.

God, Should I Trust You?

Walking blindly, solely by faith, is sometimes the hardest thing for us to do.

But our God has a perfect track record.

When we look back at what He’s already provided and what He’s already done…

We can rest assured that He will also make a way for whatever it is we’re currently going through.

Remember that the Word of God will never return void.

By trusting in it completely, by trusting in our Jesus with all that is within us, we will find that we really do have hope in this seemingly hopeless world.

So if you’re feeling discouraged and find yourself no longer listening to and trusting in your Father’s still small voice it’s time to stop listening to the lies of the enemy.

Rebuke Satan in Jesus name!

Open up your Bible and allow the Word of God to encourage you.

Allow God’s promises to overwhelm you instead of the cares and concerns of this life.

“Not a single one of all the good promises the Lord had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything he had spoken came true.” – Joshua 21:45

Regardless of how we’re feeling, what our eyes are seeing, or what our finite minds are thinking—our God is faithful.

Our God is good.

He has a specific plan for our lives and is in full and complete control of everything we’re going through.

So when the Lord gives you a promise, when He tells you He’ll do something, walk by faith believing that one day it will come to pass.

Rest assured that you haven’t been overlooked nor have you been forgotten.

Your Heavenly Father will not lie to you.

You can trust Him and take Him completely at His Word.

You are not walking through life all alone.

God goes before you, stands behind you, and is walking alongside you.

You too will enter into the Promised Land, heaven for all eternity, so keep your eyes on your Good Shepherd and follow closely after His lead.

He will give you every single thing you need, every single step of the way.

“Scars and struggles on the wayBut with joy our hearts can say

Yes, our hearts can say

Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did You leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, You are faithful…”

Prayer to Find a New Job

Prayer That I Will Not Lose My Current Job

Are you unemployed, under-employed, or in a toxic work situation? If so, pray this prayer to find a new job and watch God move on your behalf!

Many folks in our community have mentioned their need for jobs over the years

And if that’s you, know that God wants you to have a good job. A GOOD job. A job that will be a blessing to you, because:

The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it” (Proverbs 10:22).

Papa God is so good that He wants you to have a job:

  • that will bless you financially;
  • that you will enjoy doing;
  • where you will have pleasant co-workers;
  • with a nice boss; and
  • where you can be a witness for Him.

He also wants you to have a job that will be good for your family. A job that will be safe. A job where you will be honored and respected.

A good job is a blessing from the Lord

And if you need a new job, don’t hesitate to pray for one–and pray specifically!

Yes, you will still have to do the legwork to find your new job. You will have to be diligent to look for the job the Lord has for you. You will have to fill out applications and interview. You will have to work hard at any job you get, go through training, and do everything else that comes with jobs.

But the Lord can and will bless you with a wonderful job if you will pray and believe Him to do so.

Are you ready to pray? Use the sample prayer below, and add your specific points to this model prayer as needed.

Pray this prayer to find a new job:

“Heavenly Father, I come before You in Jesus’ name.

Father God, thank You for hearing my prayer. Thank You that Your Word says “Before you call, I will answer,” and so You have answered me even before I finish this prayer. Thank You for knowing everything that concerns me, and for providing all my needs richly. I know I can depend on You, Father.

Father, I lift up my job situation to You. Lord, I ask right now in Jesus’ name that You would make a way for me to have a new job, a better job. Show me which steps to take.

Lord, if I am to change careers, then please show me what career to pursue. If I am to stay in the same career, give me peace about that. Either way, Lord, I ask right now that You would bring me into a job where the people are good to work with; where they are nice to me and others. Provide a job where I am paid well, where my work schedule would bless and not harm my family.

Father God, I ask in Jesus’ name that You would highlight in my mind where I should apply for new jobs. Give me the motivation and inspiration I need to apply, and shine Your light of favor on me there. As I apply, give me the words to say and help me fill out the application perfectly.

Father, I ask also that You would give the interviews that You want me to have–with the right interviewers too.  Make it so that, when I walk into the room to apply or interview, the people there would know that I am the one to hire. Be the answer of my tongue, and help me to speak the words during the interview and application process that You want me to speak.

Father, I ask You to provide a good salary, good retirement benefits, good medical and dental insurance, disability insurance, paid time off, paid vacations, and paid sick leave. Provide for the on-the-job training that I need. I ask also for Christian co-workers in the workplace; and for kind, compassionate, generous, and patient supervisors.

Father God, give me wisdom, strength and power. Reveal Yourself as the Glory and Lifter of my head. In the Name of Jesus I declare that the old things are past and the new things have come. Bring me the old place, and into this new place of abundance. Put me in the right job, and deliver me from the wrong jobs.

Thank You, Father. Thank You for hearing and answering my prayer, and that I have received everything I’m asking You for. I give You all the glory.

In Jesus’ name, amen.”

Beloved, here are 5 Bible promises you can claim for a new job while you’re praying:

  • “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him” (James 1:5). Pray this when you ask the Lord to show you where to apply for a new job, and for wisdom during your interview.
  • “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (Matthew 7:7-11).
  • Pray this and remind God that you are asking, seeking, and knocking–so He has to bring you your request!

  • “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it” (Proverbs 10:22). Pray this when asking the Lord for a good wage, good working hours, and everything else good in yoru new job!
  • “The king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti” (Esther 2:17). Remind the Lord that He is no respecter of persons; what He did for Esther, He will do for you! Ask Him to shine His spotlight of favor on you during the job search process. Ask Him to give you more favor than everyone around you; that the people who are to hire you would know you are the candidate they seek the first time they see you; and that the Lord would help you stand head and shoulders above the rest.
  • “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it” (John 14:12-14). Remind the Lord of this Scripture and ask Him to bring you into a greater job with greater works than you’ve ever had. Ask Him to glorify His own name in His answers to your situation. Tell Him what you desire and ask Him to do it; remind Him that He said He will.

If you just prayed this prayer and these Scriptures, please leave a comment below so others in this community can agree with you! Also, please let us know when Papa brings you into the new job you have prayed for!

8 Things to Remember When Everything Goes Wrong

Prayer That I Will Not Lose My Current Job

“The best way out is always through.”
―Robert Frost

“Today, I’m sitting in my hospital bed waiting to have both my breasts removed.  But in a strange way I feel the lucky one.  Up until now I have had no health problems.

I’m a 69-year-old woman in the last room at the end of the hall before the pediatric division of the hospital begins.

Over the past few hours I have watched dozens of cancer patients being wheeled by in wheelchairs and rolling beds.  None of these patients could be a day older than 17.”

That’s an entry from my grandmother’s journal, dated 9/16/1977.  I photocopied it and pinned it to my bulletin board about a decade ago.

It’s still there today, and it continues to remind me that there is always, always, always something to be thankful for.

And that no matter how good or bad I have it, I must wake up each day thankful for my life, because someone somewhere else is desperately fighting for theirs.

Truth be told, happiness is not the absence of problems, but the ability to deal with them.  Imagine all the wondrous things your mind might embrace if it weren’t wrapped so tightly around your struggles.  Always look at what you have, instead of what you have lost.  Because it’s not what the world takes away from you that counts; it’s what you do with what you have left.

Here are a few reminders to help motivate you when you need it most:

1.  Pain is part of growing

Sometimes life closes doors because it’s time to move forward.  And that’s a good thing because we often won’t move unless circumstances force us to.  When times are tough, remind yourself that no pain comes without a purpose.

Move on from what hurt you, but never forget what it taught you.  Just because you’re struggling doesn’t mean you’re failing.  Every great success requires some type of worthy struggle to get there.  Good things take time.  Stay patient and stay positive.

Everything is going to come together; maybe not immediately, but eventually.

Remember that there are two kinds of pain: pain that hurts and pain that changes you.  When you roll with life, instead of resisting it, both kinds help you grow.

2.  Everything in life is temporary

Every time it rains, it stops raining.  Every time you get hurt, you heal.  After darkness there is always light – you are reminded of this every morning, but still you often forget, and instead choose to believe that the night will last forever.  It won’t.  Nothing lasts forever.

So if things are good right now, enjoy it.  It won’t last forever.  If things are bad, don’t worry because it won’t last forever either.  Just because life isn’t easy at the moment, doesn’t mean you can’t laugh.

Just because something is bothering you, doesn’t mean you can’t smile.  Every moment gives you a new beginning and a new ending.  You get a second chance, every second.  You just have to take it and make the best of it.

  (Read The Last Lecture.)

3.  Worrying and complaining changes nothing

Those who complain the most, accomplish the least.  It’s always better to attempt to do something great and fail than to attempt to do nothing and succeed.  It’s not over if you’ve lost; it’s over when you do nothing but complain about it.

If you believe in something, keep trying.  Don’t let the shadows of the past darken the doorstep of your future.  Spending today complaining about yesterday won’t make tomorrow any brighter.  Take action instead.  Let what you’ve learned improve how you live.

Make a change and never look back.

And regardless of what happens in the long run, remember that true happiness begins to arrive only when you stop complaining about your problems and you start being grateful for all the problems you don’t have.

4.  Your scars are symbols of your strength

Don’t ever be ashamed of the scars life has left you with.  A scar means the hurt is over and the wound is closed.  It means you conquered the pain, learned a lesson, grew stronger, and moved forward.  A scar is the tattoo of a triumph to be proud of.

Don’t allow your scars to hold you hostage.  Don’t allow them to make you live your life in fear.  You can’t make the scars in your life disappear, but you can change the way you see them.  You can start seeing your scars as a sign of strength and not pain.

Rumi once said, “The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”  Nothing could be closer to the truth.  suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most powerful characters in this great world are seared with scars.  See your scars as a sign of “YES!  I MADE IT!  I survived and I have my scars to prove it!  And now I have a chance to grow even stronger.”

5.  Every little struggle is a step forward

In life, patience is not about waiting; it’s the ability to keep a good attitude while working hard on your dreams, knowing that the work is worth it.  So if you’re going to try, put in the time and go all the way.  Otherwise, there’s no point in starting.

This could mean losing stability and comfort for a while, and maybe even your mind on occasion.  It could mean not eating what, or sleeping where, you’re used to, for weeks on end.  It could mean stretching your comfort zone so thin it gives you a nonstop case of the chills.

It could mean sacrificing relationships and all that’s familiar.  It could mean accepting ridicule from your peers.  It could mean lots of time alone in solitude.  Solitude, though, is the gift that makes great things possible.  It gives you the space you need.

Everything else is a test of your determination, of how much you really want it.

And if you want it, you’ll do it, despite failure and rejection and the odds.  And every step will feel better than anything else you can imagine.  You will realize that the struggle is not found on the path, it is the path.  And it’s worth it.

So if you’re going to try, go all the way.  There’s no better feeling in the world… there’s no better feeling than knowing what it means to be ALIVE.

(Angel and I discuss this in more detail in the “Goals and Success” chapter of 1,000 Little Things Happy, Successful People Do Differently.)

6.  Other people’s negativity is not your problem

Be positive when negativity surrounds you.  Smile when others try to bring you down.  It’s an easy way to maintain your enthusiasm and focus.  When other people treat you poorly, keep being you.

Don’t ever let someone else’s bitterness change the person you are.  You can’t take things too personally, even if it seems personal. Rarely do people do things because of you.

They do things because of them.

Above all, don’t ever change just to impress someone who says you’re not good enough.  Change because it makes you a better person and leads you to a brighter future.

People are going to talk regardless of what you do or how well you do it.  So worry about yourself before you worry about what others think.  If you believe strongly in something, don’t be afraid to fight for it.

Great strength comes from overcoming what others think is impossible.

All jokes aside, your life only comes around once.  This is IT.  So do what makes you happy and be with whoever makes you smile, often.

7.  What’s meant to be will eventually, BE

True strength comes when you have so much to cry and complain about, but you prefer to smile and appreciate your life instead.

There are blessings hidden in every struggle you face, but you have to be willing to open your heart and mind to see them.  You can’t force things to happen.  You can only drive yourself crazy trying.

At some point you have to let go and let what’s meant to be, BE.

In the end, loving your life is about trusting your intuition, taking chances, losing and finding happiness, cherishing the memories, and learning through experience.  It’s a long-term journey.

You have to stop worrying, wondering, and doubting every step of the way.  Laugh at the confusion, live consciously in the moment, and enjoy your life as it unfolds.

You might not end up exactly where you intended to go, but you will eventually arrive precisely where you need to be.  (Read A New Earth.)

8.  The best thing you can do is to keep going

Don’t be afraid to get back up – to try again, to love again, to live again, and to dream again.  Don’t let a hard lesson harden your heart.  Life’s best lessons are often learned at the worst times and from the worst mistakes.

There will be times when it seems everything that could possibly go wrong is going wrong.  And you might feel you will be stuck in this rut forever, but you won’t.  When you feel quitting, remember that sometimes things have to go very wrong before they can be right.

Sometimes you have to go through the worst, to arrive at your best.

Yes, life is tough, but you are tougher.  Find the strength to laugh every day.  Find the courage to feel different, yet beautiful.  Find it in your heart to make others smile too.  Don’t stress over things you can’t change.  Live simply.  Love generously.  Speak truthfully.  Work diligently.  And even if you fall short, keep going.  Keep growing.

Awake every morning and do your best to follow this daily TO-DO list:

  1. Think positively.
  2. Eat healthy.
  3. Exercise today.
  4. Worry less.
  5. Work hard.
  6. Laugh often.
  7. Sleep well.

Repeat…

The floor is yours…
