Prayer Of Healing For Heal My Mother

10 Prayers for Healing – Praying for Strength, Recovery & Comfort – Prayers

Prayer Of Healing For Heal My Mother

Are you facing a difficult disease, illness or malady and want to cry out to God for healing but don't know what to pray? If you feel scared, alone, unsure of the future, or don't understand how healing works, pray these words below in faith today! Below are ten healing prayers, an interview with Max Lucado explaining how we should pray for healing, and some of our favorite Bible verses on healing.

God tells us that through prayer, He can speak to us and use us to work miracles for His glory. When you use this prayer for healing you are coming to God completely surrendered and expectant to let His Holy Spirit work in and through you. I pray that you will find miraculous healing as you seek God's plan for your life – His plan to prosper you and to give you a hope and future!

1. A Prayer for Personal Healing

God, you know me so well. You created me. You know the number of hairs on my head, and you even know the thoughts conceived in my heart before I ever vocalize them. You've told us to come to you and ask for every need of life. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals, and you have the final word on my destiny, the number of years I'll live and serve you on earth.

I'm coming to you today as your child, longing to hear from you and asking for your divine healing. There's so much I don't understand about life. But I do know that with one touch, one word, you can make me whole. Please forgive me of my sins, cleanse me of my unrighteousness, and begin your healing from the inside out.

I don't always know what your will is Lord, especially in times now, when I desperately seek your face. I offer you no promises, no bargains, no deals to exchange for my health.

I simply bow my heart before you to tell you the desire of my heart: that I want to spend as many years as I can loving you here, loving others, and wanting to become more you. However you choose to accomplish that is up to you—and okay with me.

If you use doctors to provide healing, give them wisdom to know what to do. Regardless of how you accomplish it, the healing you give is always miraculous. And you deserve all the praise.

I absolutely believe you have the power to heal. You demonstrated that on earth, and you still heal in miraculous ways today.

Even when my faith is weak, you say it is enough, and my love for you is strong. And I know you already hold my heart and life in your hands. It's up to you.

If I can bring you more glory through healing, then that's what I ask for. That's what I desire.

But if your answer is no, or not now, I know that your grace is sufficient for me. Ultimately, I want your will to be my will. I look forward to spending an eternity with you.

But Lord, if you have planned still more for me to do here on this earth, I not only need and want your physical healing, Lord, but a thorough, deep-down cleansing and strengthening—a whole-hearted renewal of all that I am. Because all that I am is yours.

Use this trial to strengthen me from a “what-if” faith to a “no-matter-what” faith. And no matter what, I choose to honor you and give you glory. In Jesus's name, Amen. ~ Rebecca Barlow Jordan

2. A Short Prayer for Healing for Friends

Lord, your Word speaks promises of healing and restoration and I thank you for the miracles you still perform today. Today I claim those promises over my friend.

I believe in the healing power of faith and prayer and I ask you to begin your mighty work in the life of my friend. Please reach down and surround my friend with supernatural peace and strength and give her the faith to believe that all things are possible for you.

Protect her from Satan's lies and discouragement and let her miraculous healing begin. Amen.

3. A Prayer for Healing and Grace

Dear God,
We confess our need for you today. We need your healing and your grace. We need hope restored. We need to be reminded that you work on behalf of those you love, constantly, powerfully, completely. Forgive us for trying to fix our situations all on our own.

Forgive us for running all different directions and spinning our wheels to find help, when true help and healing must be found first in You. Forgive us for forgetting how much we need you, above everyone and everything else. We come to you and bring you the places we are hurting.

You see where no one else is able to fully see or understand. You know the pain we've carried. The burdens. The cares. You know where we need to be set free. We ask for your healing and grace to cover every broken place. Every wound. Every heartache.

Thank you that you are Able to do far more than we could ever imagine. Thank you for your Mighty Power that acts on behalf of your children. We reach out to you, and know that you are restoring and redeeming every place of difficulty, every battle, for your greater glory.

Thank you that you will never waste our pain and suffering. We love you. We need you today.  In Jesus' Name, Amen ~ Debbie McDaniel

4. A Prayer for Healing Sick Family and Friends

Lord Jesus, thank you that you love [name of person who needs healing]. I know that you hate what their illness is doing to them/me. I ask that you would heal this disease, that you would have compassion and bring healing from all sickness.

Your word says in Psalm 107:19-20 that when we call out to you the Eternal one you will give the order, heal and rescue us from certain death.

In the Bible, I have read of miraculous healing and I believe that you still heal the same way today.

I believe that there is no illness you cannot heal after all the bible tells of you raising people from the dead so I ask for your healing in this situation.

I also know from my experience of life on earth that not everyone is healed. If that happens here than keep my heart soft towards you, help me to understand your plan and help me to be excited about heaven.

God, I thank you that [name of person who needs healing] belongs to you and that you are in control of everything that happens from our first breath to our last sigh. Amen. ~ Wendy van Eyck

5. A Prayer to Heal the Hurt

Father, help me get my focus back on you. I know I need to stop dwelling on my hurts and frustrations. Help me be faithful in prayer and put my hope in you. May the Holy Spirit guide and comfort and strengthen me. In Jesus' name, Amen. ~ Living Free Every Day Devotional

6. A Prayer for Forgiveness

Dear God, I’m sorry for my sin. I ______________ (what you did), which was a sin against you, as well as a sin against __________ (who you hurt). Please help me turn from this behavior.

I will begin ________________  (how you’ll change) instead of what I have done. Please forgive me and help me to grow in my relationship to you and _________, whom I’ve hurt. Thank you for your love and mercy.

Thank you for forgiving me and choosing to forget my sin. In Jesus’ name, Amen. ~ Sue Schlesman

7. A Prayer for Those Who Feel Wounded

Dear God, We feel wounded, betrayed, and brokenhearted. We wonder sometimes if we can ever fully recover from the deep hurt we feel inside. Thank you that you know what we’ve been through and the struggles we still carry. Help us to forgive.

Help us to let go. We know that we can move forward with you in peace and freedom. We pray for those who have hurt us right now, and ask for your power to work mightily within their lives.

We leave them in your hands and find our comfort and strength in your spirit.

Thank you that you understand all that we’ve faced, that you see and you care. We ask that when the enemy taunts us with lies and tries to bring up the hurt of the past, you would silence his voice and allow us to walk free.

We bring you all the stuff that he would use to try to trap us or stop us – the pain, the past, the mistakes, the struggles. And we lay it at your feet, again. Thank you for your healing, for your grace, for your hope. Thank you that you have set us free and will not waste the pain that we’ve carried.

We look forward to the greater good and purpose you will bring through this struggle.

We love you Lord, we need you, we trust you. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. ~ Debbie McDaniel

8. A Prayer to Heal a Struggling Relationship

Dear God, I struggle in my relationship with ______. I need You to give me wisdom on how to love ____ well. You are my shield and defender. Show me how, when and where to erect boundaries in our relationship. I believe You are my healer and I trust You to guard my heart and mind. I need Your specific directions on how to interact with ______.

I want to love _____ with a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. (1 Timothy 1:5) I forgive ______ for hurting me and forgive me for ______. Help me to love ______ courageously.

Fill me with Your truth and compel me to fearlessly tell the truth with love. Let Your perfect love cast out all of my fears related to our relationship. I surrender what I think our relationship should be.

Please transform it so that it honors You. In Jesus, I pray. Amen ~ Jennifer O. White

9. A Prayer for When Time Doesn't Heal a Broken Heart

Lord, please heal my broken heart. Fill me with the peace and joy I know can only come from You during this hard time. Walk closely beside me during my journey to healing and recovery that I know is possible through Your power alone. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. ~ Tracie Miles

10. A Prayer to Heal from Depression

Lord, it seems as if my world has collapsed, hurling me into a deep, dark pit. I come to you in complete surrender. I am desperate for you, helpless and afraid. Please lift me this pit and show me the way, Lord.   In Jesus’ name, Amen ~ Mary Southerland

Ananda Healing Prayer Ministry

Healing of Alcoholism and Drug Use

Prayer can be of great help to people who are struggling with addictions, and it often creates a turning point in helping the addict recognize that there is a problem that needs to be addressed. Prayers for the healing of addictions, such as to alcohol or to prescribed pain medications, are answered quickly the majority of the time.

Many years ago a woman and her grown daughter visited the Expanding Light and attended a healing prayer class. The mother asked for prayers for her ex-husband, the father of the young woman, for healing of alcoholism. His problem had persisted for over 25 years and was the main reason for the divorce.

Two weeks later we received an update that the man had checked himself into a treatment center, having finally admitted to himself and his family that he had a drinking problem.

What is astonishing about this story is that the man was clearly loved, but even the breakup of his family hadn’t triggered a firm resolve to overcome his alcoholism, but somehow the prayers for him had finally broken through that barrier.

If you are trying to help a person to overcome alcohol or other addiction, I would recommend a multi-faceted approach. Have some members of the family commit to saying the Divine Mother healing prayer for the person every day. They should keep this up for at least a year, for it will help the patient to develop positive qualities necessary to sustain this new direction.

  • Divine Mother Healing Prayer Technique:
  • Divine Mother, Thou art Omnipresent. Thou art in all Thy children, Thou are in _________________Manufest Thy healing presence in his/her body, mind, and soul. Then rub the hands together briskly to generate energy. Then hold up the hands and send the energy while chanting AUM three times.
  • Video of this prayer technique:

If the patient is openly ready to be healed, teach him to say this affirmation by Paramhansa Yogananda.

  • A Daily Healing Affirmation by Paramhansa Yogananda:
  • Focus deeply at the spiritual eye, the point of spiritual will, and say three times:  I will with my own will, which flows from the Divine will, to be healthy to be well, to be prosperous and spiritual, to be well, to be well.
  • Video of this affirmation:

Some patients have been helped by the book, Seven Weeks to Sobriety: The Proven Program to Fight Alcoholism through Nutrition by Joan Mathews Larson.  (You can learn more about her story at joanmathewslarson.com). People can overcome alcohol addiction without this book, but it may greatly enhance their chances for success.

Harder Drugs: A Deeper Darkness

Harder drugs, such as heroin and meth, also respond to prayer, but it takes a sustained and persistent effort. The spiritual darkness around the harder drugs is more profound, and thus it takes a continued dose of light to effect the change.

Once a person is on hard drugs, there is already a history of making negative lifestyle choices. Their whole social structure may revolve around the drugs, and thus it takes something dramatic to get the person’s attention.

The patient needs to be receptive, and sometimes this only comes once the person is sitting in a jail cell.

Pray for healing in body, mind, and soul

When praying for a person addicted to harder drugs, ask not only for healing of the addiction, but also for their spiritual awakening. A complete transformation is needed. This seems especially important to overcome meth addiction because 93% of those in treatment centers relapse. It takes a miracle of healing grace to overcome meth addiction.

The few cases that I do know of people who overcame meth addiction straightened out their lives by turning to God. They straightened out and had a complete change of lifestyle both inwardly and outwardly. Pray for this level of transformation for anyone facing addiction to harder drugs.

Several times I have counseled parents to bring in a small picture of Jesus or Yogananda to their teenager who was in jail facing charges for hard drugs. I told the parents to hand the picture to their teen and give them very simple instructions on how to pray for help. It can be a very simple, yet transformative, prayer from the heart, such as, Please help me to change.

It has to start there. The addict is often ready for such things once they are terrified about the way their life is headed.  Some of these kids who were on meth ended up turning toward a conservative form of Christianity because they needed that much spiritual structure to stay off the drugs. This has worked well when the minister was knowledgeable on how to help addicts.

Letter of Light

Sometimes something relatively simple can have a profound effect on a person if it comes when they are receptive to healing grace.

One day a woman in the Ananda community asked me what she could do for her brother who had a serious problem with alcohol. She believed that he wanted to change, but said he felt powerless in the face of it.

She wanted to offer him something inspirational to read, but she told me that he was not interested in spiritual books.

I suggested that she send him the book, Do It Now, by Swami Kriyananda, which is now  republished as Living Wisely, Living Well, Timeless Wisdom to Enrich Every Day, by Swami Kriyananda.

It is a wonderful “thought for the day” book, full of uplifting advice. I thought the short passages would be helpful for her brother. It wasn’t an overtly spiritual book, rather it advises the person on how to be the best version of yourself.

We also prayed for him to be receptive to positive changes in his life.

Several months later I took seclusion in a mountain cabin near the Sierra Buttes. I loved that the cabin had no telephone. I used the time to read spiritual books, meditate deeply and take walks in the forest.

One morning early I was awakened by a vivid dream in which I received a thank you note written in shining gold script, saying, “Thank you for helping me to overcome alcoholism, with the book, Do It Now.

One can tell the nature of a dream by the quality of the light in it.

The gold letters were radiant, so I knew it was a true, spiritual dream, but I didn’t write that book! How did God get the wrong address for that divine thank you note? Finally, after coming more fully awake, I recalled that I had suggested the book earlier to my friend for her brother.

I realized the thank you was not for writing the book, but for inspiring his sister to give him a copy of it. The man’s heart and soul must have sent forth a feeling of gratitude, and I received it in my dream.

I’d love to hear your  inspirations and related experiences in the comments below.

Blessings to you,

Mary

Inner Healing Prayer with Psalm 46

Prayer Of Healing For Heal My Mother

What have you done with the painful things you’ve experienced in your past? How might they be influencing you today?

We may try to forget painful memories and move on but in that case the problem lives on deep inside us, affecting how we relate to God, others, and ourselves in ways that we may not realize. Anxiety, depression, addiction, and chronic relationship problems usually have roots in a history of being rejected, abused, or growing up in a dysfunctional family.

Common problems insecurity, anxiety, self-condemnation, or chronic tiredness may also be related to wounds or conflicts of the past that we haven’t healed from. Even physical problems ranging from serious illnesses to common headaches may be caused in part by internalized stress and repressed emotion. How we respond to the painful situations of life is a BIG deal.

Inner Healing Prayer

Inner Healing Prayer is a way to invite the Spirit of Christ to minister to the inner parts of our person that have been damaged.

Sometimes this is called “Healing of Memory Prayer,” but usually the problem is less about the memory and more about the wounded or conflicted personality.

(What makes the memory especially important is that it gives us access to the inner wound or conflict and how our personality may have been malformed.)

Typically inner healing prayer is done in conversation with a counselor or other prayer minister who offers God’s compassion and discernment under the leading of the Holy Spirit.

The key to benefiting from this process is opening your mind and heart to Jesus to allow him to enter into the memory or hurt place to minister his grace and truth.

Many people experience significant breakthroughs into personal freedom or healing by connecting profoundly with Jesus through this kind of inner healing prayer.

(Here are some more Soul Shepherding articles on “Healing Prayer.”)

Another way that we have invited Jesus to heal our hearts and the hearts of people we minister to is through praying a Scripture passage contemplatively while remembering the painful event from the past. To pray contemplatively is to Be Still in God’s presence as you marinate yourself in the Word.

Drinking From the Psalm 46 “River That Makes Glad”

Psalm 46 is a wonderful tool for inner healing prayer. It is such a gift to us! It has some famous lines that are well-known by most earnest followers of Christ.

But the real benefit comes when we meditate on the whole psalm, especially if we memorize it because that helps us to meditate further on it and makes it more profoundly available to us for personal prayer.

If we take the words, insights, structure, and rhythms of Psalm 46 into our bodies and minds and then we open up our heart to God in a special time of prayer it is truly remarkable how God can use this psalm to bring us his healing!

1st Meditation: Listen for a Word

“There is a river that makes glad the city of God.” And it is here in Psalm 46!

Pray Psalm 46 s-l-o-w-l-y to help you drink from God’s living waters. As you do this, notice that there are three sections, each ending with a “Selah.” Selah means pause quietly to reflect and pray. Selah helps you to drink from the still waters of God’s love by hearing his Word to you. Selah helps you to be still and enjoy God’s presence.

As you read Psalm 46 now what word or phrase from Psalm 46 does the Holy Spirit especially impress upon your heart? Let this word come to life inside you…

2nd Meditation: Imagine the Scenes

Read and pray Psalm 46 again. This time use your imagination to picture the images and scenes of the Psalm. Notice the sharp contrasts between the distressing physical circumstances and the encouraging spiritual realities. Observe the differences between the government of people and that of God.

In Psalm 46 we see and feel frightening images of an earthquake, tidal wave, uproar amongst the nations, and war. Maybe you have been through fearful things in your past? Maybe you are experiencing conflict or great stress now?

As we already said, Psalm 46 offers us the river that makes glad the city of God. This is part of the Kingdom of God, the ultimate and eternal refuge and fortress for all who call on the Lord. Indeed, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.”

But when we go through suffering it may feel God hasn’t been our refuge.

When do we experience God’s help? We find that indeed God is our refuge when we look beyond our circumstances into spiritual reality and submit to his kingdom rule.

What blessed peace is ours when we see and trust the invisible Kingdom of God in the midst of our visible world at war! Indeed, our personal anxieties and hurts can give way to God’s word of peace: “Be still and know that I am God.”

Try imagining the scenes of Psalm 46, especially the Kingdom of God, as you re-read it now…

Contemplate

To help you enter more deeply into the Selah rest of Psalm 46 contemplate just these three key verses that minister God’s presence and kingdom to us:

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble… Selah…

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God… Selah…

Be still and know that I am God… Selah…

Healing Prayer

Now it’s time to recall a painful memory or struggle and invite Jesus to minister God’s healing power to you. Ask God to help you…

Imagine what happened. See yourself as a child or vulnerable person in that situation and deep inside of you today. (The child of your history may be the child in your heart today.) Feel your emotions and needs…

Consider that during that painful situation the risen Christ was present with you in Spirit, but probably this was in ways that you didn’t notice or appreciate.

At that time you weren’t able or didn’t know how to put your confidence fully in the Lord and enter into the spiritual reality that God’s kingdom truly is your refuge.

God is in the eternal now, where past, present, and future are one, so ask the Lord Jesus to come to you in this memory and show you how he was and is present for you…

Take as much time as you need to be quiet and still before the Lord. You’re offering your painful memory to God as if it were a movie screen. Look and listen for Jesus, paying attention to any images, thoughts, or sensations that he may bring into your awareness…

It may help you to calm your thoughts and keep your mind and heart open to God if you return to contemplating on one of the lines the from Psalm 46 (e.g., “God is our refuge… There is a river… Be still…”)…

Continue in God’s Healing

Inner healing prayer for a particular memory, wound, or conflict is an ongoing process that deepens with time. So it’s helpful to repeat this Psalm 46 meditation.

Furthermore, to fully absorb and integrate into your personality God’s blessing you need to appreciate it.

So make sure to give thanks to God for any ways that your Psalm 46 meditation has helped you to experience him as your “refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.”

The other way to further your healing from Christ through this Psalm 46 meditation and prayer is to talk to someone you trust about your experience.

Does Your Family Need Healing? Try These Powerful Prayers for Peace, Healing & Harmony

Prayer Of Healing For Heal My Mother

Public Domain

The holiday season is a great reminder for many of us that the promise of peace from the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ, has yet to be fulfilled in many of our families.

The Holy Family had circumstances beyond their control–namely, the attempted murder of the Christ Child–that could have disrupted their peace as family unit.

While we can’t always control the external forces working against us, we can pray for forgiveness, reconciliation, and healing from the physical, emotional, and spiritual wounds that keep us in bondage and distant from one another.

The Feast of the Holy Family is an excellent day to pray for peace in your family. And if you can pray together as a family, healing prayers will be quicker and more effective. (Matthew 18:20)

I believe in You, Lord! Help my unbelief! May Your will be done!

From all ungodly emotions, attitudes, and behaviors, (e.g. pettiness, manipulation, argumentativeness, jealousy, etc.)
Heal my family, O Jesus.
From all inherited emotional and psychological defects,
Heal my family, O Jesus.
From all emotional and psychological illnesses,
Heal my family, O Jesus.

From all inherited physical defects,
Heal my family, O Jesus.
From all physical afflictions and illnesses,
Heal my family, O Jesus.

Lord, increase the virtue of faith in my family.Lord, increase the virtue of hope in my family.

Lord, increase the virtue of charity in my family.

Help us, Lord, to internalize the words of Joshua: “As for me and my household we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)

Take healing a step further and meditate on Joshua 6:1-27.
Perhaps you will be the Joshua of your family–interceding and orchestrating the walls your family builds around one another to fall flat.

A Prayer for Healing

Lord Jesus, you came to heal our wounded and troubled hearts. I beg you to heal the torments that cause anxiety in my heart; I beg you in a particular way, to heal all which are the cause of sin.

I beg you to come into my life and heal me of the psychological harms that struck me in my early years and from the injuries that they caused throughout my life.

Lord Jesus, you know my burdens.

I lay them all on your Good Shepherd’s Heart. I beseech you, by the merits of the great, open wound in your heart, to heal the small wounds that are in mine.

Heal the pain of my memories, so that nothing that has happened to me will cause me to remain in pain and anguish, filled with anxiety.

Heal, O Lord, all those wounds that have been the cause of all the evil that is rooted in my life. I want to forgive all those who have offended me. Lord, look to those inner sores that make me unable to forgive.

You who came to forgive the afflicted of heart, please heal my own heart.

Heal, my Lord Jesus, those intimate wounds that cause me physical illness. I offer you my heart. Accept it, Lord, purify it and give me the sentiments of your Divine Heart. Help me to be meek and humble.

Heal me, O Lord, from the pain caused by the death of my loved ones, which is oppressing me.  Grant me to regain peace and joy in the knowledge that you are the Resurrection and the Life!

Make me an authentic witness to your Resurrection, your victory over sin and death, and your living presence among us. Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady Undoer of Knots

O Virgin Mary, faithful Mother who never refuses to come to the aid of your children;

Mother whose hands never cease to help because they are moved by the loving kindness that exists in your Immaculate Heart, cast your eyes of compassion upon me, and see the snarl of knots that exist in my life.

You know all the pains and sorrows caused by these tangled knots. Mary, my Mother, I entrust to your loving hands the entire ribbon of my life.

In your hands there is no knot which cannot be undone. Most Holy Mother, pray for Divine assistance to come to my aid.

Take this knot (mention need) into your maternal hands this day;
I beg you to undo it for the glory of God,once and for all,in the name of your Divine Son,Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Holy Family, give us your peace.

Peace Prayer of St. Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:where there is hatred, let me sow love;where there is injury, pardon;where there is doubt, faith;where there is despair, hope;where there is darkness, light;

where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console,to be understood as to understand,to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive,it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Amen.
