Prayer is a force. It touches eternal powers and sets them in motion; it moves God to action. It is the inner ministry before God’s face, which is the ministry that is most feared by Satan because prayer is a force, the unfolding of an intense spiritual labor that results in great visible works.

The highest form of prayer is an inner, conscious, clear-sighted spiritual work in harmony with our great High Priest to carry out God’s plan with His church. Prayer requires that the body, soul, and spirit be subjected to the power of the Holy Spirit. It requires quietness; for only by hearing His voice can the same prayer that Jesus prays penetrate our spirit.

Satan’s attempts to keep you from praying

It is imperative for Satan that you do not pray. Prayer interferes with his power, disturbs his plans, and destroys his kingdom. He fills your body, soul, and spirit with unrest. Your body is tired, your mind is harassed, and your spirit is depressed. This is all Satan’s work to prevent you from praying.

When you kneel down in prayer, you become aware that your body does not want to be in a kneeling position. Your whole body protests with restlessness; you wriggle for a while, and then you get up.

Satan has gained the victory through your body. Your body is to be a holy and acceptable sacrifice to God. The body is to be kept in subjection – under the control of the Spirit.

It must not rule, but be ruled.

Satan influences your soul life to the point where you cannot pray. He influences your feelings, and then he tells you that you are not “in the mood” to pray and that you do not “feel”  praying.

He inflates your feelings into a light, meaningless state of happiness or he deflates them into discouragement so that you become weary. He causes your mind to be harassed by outward toil; he tells you that now you must take it easy.

He puts pressure on your spirit so your mind is weighed down, or he lets your thoughts wander far and wide. Your mind becomes unusually active when you want to pray. Then Satan whispers, “Wait for a more convenient time.”

Thus Satan robs God’s children of their most fruitful work. Here we get a little glimpse of one branch of Satan’s activity. Paul says, “We are not ignorant of his devices.” 2 Corinthians 2:11.

Notice Satan’s wiles when you have overcome and have come into wonderful communion with God. As soon as you have tasted the blessing of God’s presence, Satan will whisper, “Now it is enough.” You get up and thank God for what you have received, but Satan has fooled you. God wanted you to abide in prayer. God is not hasty in His work, as we are as human beings.

The intention was that you should not only pray until you had this blissful feeling in your heart, but that you should pray for a fullness of blessings so that you would never go empty-handed to anyone, but bring with you a fullness of spiritual blessings. We do not live this life just to receive a little bit for ourselves.

We are indebted to the others to bring them rivers of blessings.

Prayer is a spiritual battleAlmost all talk of battles and wars when concerning a Christian life refers to the inner battle that arises when a sinful thought tempts you. God’s Spirit and the flesh are at odds. When you have decided to only do …

After you have prayed down blessings into your own soul, Satan will say, “Now it is sufficient; now you are blessed.” Do not listen to him.

Now that you have experienced that you can pray down blessings over your own soul, you should also know that you can pray down blessings over other souls. Herein lies the inner ministry.

Do not only pray for your next of kin and a few others you hear are having difficulties. Enlarge the place of your tent. Pray down rivers of blessings over dry hearts, over dry places.

Through prayer pour out a fullness of grace over the church and all those whom God has appointed in the church to serve the saints. Their blessing will be a fruit of your work before God’s face. You will detect progress in their work; their inner life grows, and God cleanses them.

You can enrich God’s people with heavenly treasures in quietness before God’s face without anyone knowing about it. There is no other ministry as fruitful; therefore, Satan hates no other soul as much as the one who knows how to pray. Consequently, such a soul is also engaged in warfare. This is a battle in the spirit world. As followers of Jesus it is everyone’s duty to enter the ranks.

Rest in God is not the same as spiritual laziness. A passive rest is the bridge that leads to idleness. Be along in the work so that Jesus’ bride, the church, can be presented pure before His face.

It is a privilege to be along. Enter into the secret chambers of your heart; there you can live with your God in a life of laboring prayer. You will never leave this place if you want to overcome fully.

Top 7 Bible Verses About Spiritual Blindness

Here are my top 7 Bible verses about spiritual blindness with commentary that follows each.

John 12:40 “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and turn, and I would heal them.”

Jesus quotes, nearly word for word, Isaiah’s prophecy about the hardening of the hearts of those who would refuse to believe in Him (Isaiah 6:10).

It’s not that God has hardened their hearts or that God has blinded their eyes, but as the author of Hebrews wrote “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion” (Heb 3:12) so they are actually hardening their own hearts by refusing to hear the Spirit’s voice as in the Holy Spirit Who says, “Today, if you hear his voice” (Heb 3:7). This warning about not hearing His voice, which is the voice of the Holy Spirit, is found throughout Scripture and is repeated many times as it is again in Hebrews 4:7 where it is written “God again set a certain day, calling it “Today.” This he did when a long time later he spoke through David, as in the passage already quoted: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.” The point is you must hear His voice today; you must listen to the Spirit’s voice of putting your faith in Christ. The more you suppress His voice, the harder your heart becomes until your heart reaches a point that you will not hear His voice anymore. Your heart hardens and your eyes become blinded to the glorious gospel in Jesus Christ.

Second Corinthians 4:4 “In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”

The spiritual blindness of those who hate Christ comes not only from a refusal to hear the Spirit’s voice but also from the blinding by Satan, “the god of this world.

” He has so blinded the minds of the unbelievers that they can’t see the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

God will move heaven and earth if a person genuinely seeks to know God but suppressing the knowledge of God, time after time, is where God finally gives them up to the lusts of their own flesh and Satan keeps them in darkness.

Matthew 23:16 “Woe to you, blind guides, who say, ‘If anyone swears by the temple, it is nothing, but if anyone swears by the gold of the temple, he is bound by his oath.”

No wonder most of the Jews refused to believe in Jesus Christ; the teachers of the law and the Pharisees were blind guides so it was the blind leading the blind. The saying “there is none so blind as those who refuse to see” is true just as it was of the religious leaders in Jesus’ day.

The problem for these blind leaders was that they “trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and treated others with contempt” (Luke 18:9) and Jesus rebuked them for this by saying “You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of others, but God knows your hearts.

What people value highly is detestable in God’s sight” (Luke 16:15).

Isaiah 6:10 “Make the heart of this people dull, and their ears heavy, and blind their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.”

Just as in Jesus’ day, ancient Israel also had spiritual blindness and was dull of hearing.

Time and again they refused to obey God and instead, fell into idolatry and this caused God to chastise them by sending them into captivity.

Jesus quoted this in John 12:40 because they were refusing to see and closing their ears intentionally so that they could not “turn and be healed” of their sins.

Zephaniah 1:17 “I will bring distress on mankind, so that they shall walk the blind, because they have sinned against the Lord; their blood shall be poured out dust, and their flesh dung.”

Zephaniah’s serious prophecy of the destruction that was to come upon, not just Judah and Israel, but upon all of mankind was because of their refusal to turn to the Lord. Sin has a way of blinding those who are living in it and the result is that God has no choice but to punish the wicked, even though God takes no pleasure in their death (Ezk 18:23, 32).

First John 2:10 “But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.”

Many profess to be Christian but their behavior betrays them. They claim to be Christ’s but they don’t even know that they’re walking in darkness.

If they say they love God but hate the brothers and sisters, they are just giving lip service to Christ and will be exposed as false converts on the day of Jesus’ return (Matt 7:21-23). They are the tares growing up alongside the wheat.

I had a lady once tell me that she loved God but could not stand being around the people in the church. I am a father and so if someone came up to me and told me that they loved me but hated my children, I’d have a problem with that! See my point?

Matthew 15:14 “Let them alone; they are blind guides. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.”

I briefly touched on this idea earlier when the blind guides, the teachers of the law and the Pharisees, were leading others into a pit.

They themselves couldn’t see the weightier matters of mercy and justice and faith and Jesus warned “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees.

Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important aspects of the law–justice, mercy, and faith” (Matt 23:23).

Conclusion

There are certainly more than seven verses about spiritual blindness in the Bible such as in Isaiah 43:8 where he wrote “Bring out the people who are blind, yet have eyes, who are deaf, yet have ears” and in Deuteronomy 28:28-29 where it was said that “The Lord will strike you with madness and blindness and confusion of mind, and you shall grope at noonday, as the blind grope in darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways. And you shall be only oppressed and robbed continually, and there shall be no one to help you” and even in Isaiah 42:18 where God pleads with them, “Hear, you deaf, and look, you blind, that you may see” but they refused to listen and to see because they hardened their hearts and refused to hear the Spirit’s voice. I pray you do not do wise.

Prayer for Deliverance Scripture

Exodus 14:15-28 TLB  15 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Quit PRAYING and get the people moving! Forward, march!  16 Use your rod – Hold it out over the water.  The sea will open up a path before you.

  All the people of Israel shall walk through on dry ground! 17 I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians (demons/ interference/self-righteous/misguided)

and they will go in after you.  You will see the honor I will get in defeating Pharaoh (Satan) and all his armies, chariots and horsemen.

18 All Egypt (hell/enemies/opposition/ mindsets that omit God of the Trinity) shall know that I am Jehovah.”

19 Then the Angel of God, who was leading the people of Israel, moved the cloud around behind them.  20It stood between the people of Israel and the Egyptians.

That night as it changed to a pillar of fire, it gave darkness(blindness/confusion/hindrance) to the Egyptians but light (sight/counsel/clarity/direction) to the people of Israel!  So the Egyptians couldn’t find (overcome/harass/torment/terrorize/victimize/capture/enslave) the Israelis!

21 Meanwhile, Moses stretched his rod over the sea, and the Lord opened up a path through the sea, with walls
of water on each side; a strong East wind blew all that night, drying the sea bottom.

22 So the people of Israel walked through the sea on dry ground!  23 Then the Egyptians followed them between the walls of water along the  bottom of the sea – all of Pharaoh’s horses, chariots and horsemen.

24 But in the early morning Jehovah looked down from the cloud of fie upon the array of the Egyptians and began to harass them.  25 Their chariot wheels began coming off, so that their chariots scraped along the dry ground.  “Let’s get here,” the Egyptians yelled.

  “Jehovah is fighting for them and against us.”

26  When all the Israelites were on the other side, the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand again over the sea, so that the waters will come back over the Egyptians, their chariots and horsemen.” (Close all doors/gates to the enemy, in Jesus name.

) 27 Moses did and the sea returned to normal beneath the morning light.  The Egyptians tried to flee, but the Lord drowned them in the sea.  28 The water covered the path, the chariots, the horsemen, and all the army of Pharaoh that chased after Israel through the sea.

  Not one (accuser/nightmare/enemy/plague/pre-existing condition/disease) remained alive.

Prayer can be considered without devotion. Satanic prayer can be used as a spiritual tool without having the need to worship Satan. In this way you can remain independent while still having the spiritual connection that you need to feel close to Satan. 

How to Pray to Satan

Praying to Satan is not complicated. All you have to do is say the words not just in your mind but in your heart. Reaching out to Satan in this way allows you to have a spiritual connection. When you pray to Satan you are speaking to him and his force, not just at him. Your words are not lost; Satan knows what is in your heart.

Prayer is best done in a quiet place, away from anyone who might interrupt you. Your prayer does not have to be done in your ritual chamber. Take a few moments beforehand to focus and think and feel why you are about to pray.

When is the right time to pray to Satan?

Prayer can be used to strengthen your bond with Satan. It can be used to give you personal strength or when you are seeking reassurance or comfort. It can also be used to give you clarity in a situation or to receive guidance. Prayer can be done outside of the ritual chamber at any time you feel it is necessary.

If daily devotional prayer interests you, this Satanic prayer may be used during a moment when you have time alone to be with Satan. In this prayer you align yourself with the forces of Satan, Lucifer, Belial and Lilith.
