Prayer For Future Career

7 Prayers for Employment or Work

Prayer For Future Career

In the United States today, so many people are unemployed.  Some are fearful of being laid off.  Others wonder about promotions.  Many are looking for better jobs.  There are a number of issues facing our country today regarding employment.  Here are 7 prayers that you can pray about specific needs in the workplace.

Prayer for Work

Most Merciful Father,

I’m at my wits end, Lord.  I feel I have tried every avenue to find work and yet I have not gotten a single phone call about my applications that I have sent out.   Lord, I want to provide for my family.

I want to make a steady income that can pay my rent/mortgage and provide meals for my spouse and children.  Lord, you know what is best for me and I lay these burdens at your throne now.

You are good all of the time, Father, and I am placing my trust in you this day.  I love you Lord!  Amen

Jobs at Risk

Blessed Lord,

You already know before I speak what I am going to say.  Nothing I say is a surprise to You and yet You yearn for my voice daily.  I love You, God, because You love me as Your own child.  I bring you a huge burden today, Lord.  My company is downsizing because they are losing money.  O gracious Lord, my department was told about potential lay-offs.  I plead with You now, Father.

Please keep my position safe.  I am scared for my future, Lord.  I pray for Your peace that truly passes all understanding.  Give me an ease of mind as I continue to work at my job.  Lord, if I am laid off, it is because You have allowed it and I pray that You would have another open door ready for me to walk through.  You are King, Father, and I trust in Your will this day.

Possible Promotions

Wonderful Lord,

You have blessed me with so much, Father.  I have a wonderful family and church family.  I thank you for Your love and I must lay a burden at Your feet.  Father, You know about the promotion that I may get.  Lord, it would be a huge blessing to receive it.  I am not putting my faith in money, Lord.  My faith is in You only.

If You allow me this promotion, I will use it faithfully as You see fit.  I will be responsible with it and pay off existing debts and I will continue to tithe at church.  Father, I am giving this completely to You and whatever Your decision is, I will thank You because You are loving, gracious and generous even in poverty.

I love You, Abba Father.  Amen

Career Decisions

“While there are many problems facing us all at our jobs, we have one ultimate solution and that is to trust fully in God.”

Loving Father,

I praise You because You love me in spite of all of my failures and weaknesses.  You wash me in Your Word and clean my soul up more with each passage I read.  Father, I bring You a burden this day.  I feel I am stuck in a dead end job with no possibility of promotion.  I am barely floating above water right now.

You have blessed me with other talents that I could potentially use in other career fields.  Father, if You are willing, I pray for You to open a door to a different career for me.  I would love to use the talents You have given me to provide for my family.  Where You lead, I will follow.

I praise Your name, Lord!  Amen

Am I Transparent?

Holy Lord,

Blessed be Your name always.  You have set my feet on a solid rock, Jesus Christ.  I thank You, Jesus, for Your bravery and love that saved me from my sins on the cross.  I will praise You forever!  Lord, I feel a doormat at work.

I have tried to promote ideas to better the work environment while cutting down on costs.  Management usually pacifies me with words they will not follow through on.  They say, “we will consider it” but I know they forget about me as soon as they walk away.

Father, You have provided me this job and I am grateful for it.  I pray that you will soften the hearts of the leadership there.  I don’t even care if they reject every idea of mine, Father.  I just want to them to actually care and consider my suggestions.

I just want to be seen as a person and not an object to make them money.  I love You, Lord and I will follow You wherever You lead.  I love You!  Amen

Struggles with Co-workers

Beautiful Lord,

You are abounding in grace and mercy for Your children.  I am so thankful that You call me Your child.  Lord, work is getting stressful because of the environment I am in.  Father, there are many people who hate You there and they make my life miserable because they know that I love You.

I trust in James as it says, “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds.” (James 1:2)  I realize the benefit of being persecuted for believing in Jesus and I gladly accept whatever comes my way.  Lord, I pray that You would soften the hearts of my co-workers.  I will keep planting seeds, Lord.

I pray that they will let you water them.  I love you, Father.  Amen

Tragic Circumstances

Oh Merciful Father,

My company has lost a great man to a tragic accident and his life was taken from him.  Father, many people at work really loved this man and everyone is lost right now.  Father, I pray for strength while I am grieving.

Lord, use me to show Your love to all of those hurting at my job.  I want to be the light that shines in the darkness, Father.  I really need Your strength though.  Carry me, Lord, as I help carry others through this difficult time.

You are my strength when I am weak, Lord.  I love You, Father.  Amen

While there are many problems facing us all at our jobs, we have one ultimate solution and that is to trust fully in God.  God knows what is best for us in all circumstances.  I pray that you will trust in God fully with your employment burdens, wants and needs as you continue to live a life worthy of the calling.  God bless you all.

The 11 Best Jobs for the Future

Prayer For Future Career

With technological developments and workplace trends changing at an ever rapid pace, people considering their future career prospects can be forgiven for struggling to make sense of the direction they should take. Indeed, as certain roles become obsolete, job seekers are almost being asked to predict the future when settling on a decision.

Luckily, some things are easier to foresee than others. While ads for jobs that soon may exist, such as vertical farming, avatar management and “omnipotence delimiting” are yet to appear on your favourite job listing sites, the industries that are predicted to grow and thrive over the next 20 years and beyond are more quantifiable; some are even quite traditional.

So if you’re worried about what to do with the rest of your working life as we dive headfirst into the unknown, have no fear; here are the 11 best jobs for the future!

1. School Teacher

School teachers are already highly sought after in the US and the UK – as well as further afield – and this demand is only set to increase as populations rise and public departments struggle to recruit and retain personnel. New teachers are urgently required in STEM subjects in particular, with large-scale growth also predicted for elementary teachers in the US.

Even with the widespread availability of information online, teachers will always be required to relate concepts and develop and engage on a personal level with students; if you think you could handle the stress levels associated with this challenging but highly rewarding profession, it looks a pretty safe bet.

2. Nurse

The same can be said for nurses, who always find themselves in high demand all over the world, but especially in the UK and the US.

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) report that Registered Nurse is one of the fastest growing professions, while The Telegraph recently claimed that a staggering 96 per cent of UK hospitals are short of nursing staff – a statistic that has seen it put on the government’s official occupations shortage list.

Things are only set to get worse too, with an increasingly ageing population – and the subsequent public health issues this creates – putting a huge strain on healthcare resources. So if you fancy the challenge of this hugely rewarding and increasingly professionalised job, then there will certainly be a place for you.

3. Software Developer

Jobs in IT are already plentiful, with an increasingly technologized world requiring more and more knowledgeable and experienced engineers to ensure everything works smoothly.

Tasked with designing, developing and maintaining software and networks amongst other things, software developers command good salaries and are employed by the biggest and best companies in the world such as Google, Apple and .

Indeed, being able to code will soon be a common and essential skill on everyone’s CV, regardless of their field; General Electric CEO Jeff Immelt has already announced that all new hires at the engineering conglomerate will be taught how to code. If you want to get a headstart on the competition, software development is the best place to start.

4. Physiotherapist

Due to the aforementioned health risks attributed to ageing populations, the effects of unhealthy lifestyles, and the increased physical activity of the younger generation, physiotherapy (or physical therapy as it is known in the US) is another healthcare profession where the future looks secure – a sentiment backed up by both the BLS and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

There is great flexibility within physiotherapy too, with kinder working hours than other medical professionals and the option to work privately or through the NHS in the UK. With good salaries on offer on both sides of the Atlantic, this is a very sensible career move for anyone interested in healthcare.

5. Information / Computer Systems Analyst

Similar to software developers, information and computer systems technicians are going to find their services very much in demand over the next 20 years, as networks and communications systems are built, managed and maintained. Un software developers though, the jobs net is much wider – essentially any company that uses computers to manage information will require the services of a systems analyst.

The BLS has predicted its growth as much higher than the average occupation in the US, and this is a great time to get involved in an already thriving industry. As jobs go, they don’t get much more future proof than this.

6. Doctor

It is unly that there will ever be a time where doctors are not needed; the sheer breadth and importance of the profession means that no matter the advances in technology, doctors will always be required to bridge that gap between knowledge and care.

Depending on your chosen specialisation, salaries for doctors are amongst the highest in the US and UK, and there are opportunities to work all over the world. If you are smart enough and committed enough, this is a career that offers security, status and importantly – longevity.

7. App Developer

Application – or app – developers are essentially software developers, but generally speaking the term refers to those who create and manage mobile apps – a totally different environment to traditional desktop programmes.

Although much of the technical skills are the same, the challenges are different.

Un desktop development, resources such as memory, storage and bandwidth are scarce on mobile phones, and the development platforms that designers use take more time to learn and master.

The sheer amount of people using apps on Android, iOS and, increasingly, other mobile operating systems though are proof that this is a job that is moving with the times.

8. Data Analyst

As we delve deeper into the digital age, data analysis is becoming an increasingly more common term in every industry – and this is just the tip of the iceberg.

As information behemoths such as Google, Microsoft and Apple become more and more interested in people’s data – and what they can do with it – it brings a sharp focus onto what is ly to be the next generation’s most valuable currency.

As Tesco ClubCard creator Clive Humby famously said all the way back in 2006: “Data is the new oil. It’s valuable, but if unrefined it can’t really be used. It has to be broken down and analysed for it to have value”.

This is where data analysts come in.

Usually coming from a mathematics, economics or business background, they are in huge demand at all kinds of private and public firms, who want their reams of information – known as big data – sorted and turned into something useful. If you have a knack for numbers and statistics, this is a highly recommended field to get into, as in years to come it will be an even more valued profession.

9. Engineer

Although a broad term, engineers – doctors – have been around for a very long time, and will continue to be key drivers of society in the future.

In the coming years for example, specific types of engineering that will see growth are biochemical, robotics and materials engineers.

This is a reaction to environmental concerns, as well as to drive research and development into technologies that can improve our way of life (technologies, ironically, that will ly cause the demise of many traditional professions).

10. Plumber

There’s something comforting about the fact that regardless of how advanced and futuristic our landscape becomes, there will always be a plumber on hand (usually to turn up 20 minutes late and help himself to a cuppa). But the reality is plumbing is a great example of a trade – just electricians – that we will always need and which will never fully be subject to extinction by technology.

This is because as well as the unpredictable nature of call outs (sometimes in remote areas), plumbers have to explain in simple terms to their customers what has gone wrong and what they need to do to fix it. So if you’re eyeing up an apprenticeship, but you’re worried about getting left behind in the workplace, don’t be – plumbing has one of the longest shelf lives of any job.

11. Artist

Martin Ford, an author and employment expert, believes that jobs that involve “genuine creativity” – such as being an artist or a designer – will struggle to be usurped by technology.

This is because (currently at least) it is impossible for a computer to replicate the human inspiration or perception of art and design, as well as the more philosophical debate over whether something is actually art if it wasn’t created by a human.

He stipulates a caveat to this assumption though. “I can’t guarantee you that in 20 years a computer won’t be the most creative entity on the planet,” he says. “There are already computers that can paint original works of art. So in 20 years who knows how far it’s going to go?”

And that’s it. Hopefully this has given you a few ideas about choosing a career – you may have noticed a pattern for the increase in demand of STEM fields and healthcare professions, as well as careers that involve building and cultivating personal relationships with other people.

If none of those appeal to you though, don’t worry. A recent report by technology giants Dell claims that 85 per cent of the jobs that people will do in 2030 don’t exist yet; so if nothing on the list above grabs you, you can literally wait to see what the future has to offer.

Do you work in any of the above fields? If so, let us know in the comments…

I know I can achieve something in my life only after the implementation of my planned goals, in the success of which I believe. In order to take the path to my career, I must improve my skills, enrich my knowledge and obtain experience in the field which I’m going to study.

This program gives me an opportunity and I must use this opportunity to study in the US.

Model-driven development – a system development strategy that emphasizes the drawing of system models to help visualize and analyze problems, define business requirements, and …

You begin to respond to the prompt directly in the final two paragraphs. The penultimate paragraph, which addresses the question of why you want and need to study in the US is quite vague. The argument that U.S. education is great is rather general (and not true _in general_).

If you specified that program you want to enroll in and why, you might have something more concrete and meaningful to say. Your final paragraph deals with what you intend to do on your return to Georgia. This paragraph is a little bit clearer, but not by much.

It would be a good idea to specify what you mean by the “management system,” especially if you mean something, as you apparently do, that is applicable to both government and the private sector.

The essay says next to nothing about democratic development, but knowing nothing about the program for which you are applying, I’ve no idea how important that is.

I suggest, in any case, expanding the last two paragraphs, with a view to making their claims more specific, and condensing the rest of the essay. Keep your sentences relatively short and simple in order to minimise the number of errors.

As more technology is developed, IT professionals such as programmers, security specialists, and administrators will continue to be in high demand.

As this career becomes more central, more institutions of higher learning are responding by offering coursework and majors in areas such as computer networking and information security, applied computer science, and computer science and innovation.

Praying for Your Future Husband

Prayer For Future Career
If you read the Christy Miller series in high school or college, you no doubt were inspired by Christy’s decision to pray for her future husband as she wrote him letters. Many girls started doing this in their own lives, and now there’s a tool to guide young women in this endeavor: Praying for Your Future Husband.

This prayer guide is for young women who want to be intentional about seeking God’s direction for their future.

We asked the book’s authors, Robin Jones Gunn and Tricia Goyer, to share some encouragement to women who are still praying for their future husbands. Keep reading and be reminded that you are being relentlessly pursued by God.

After all, every earthly story of romance is borrowed from the eternal love story between God and His children.

Maybe it was your Sunday School teacher or through the pages of a book that you first heard about praying for your future husband. Maybe you clung to the message and ran with it. Maybe you’ve prayed so many prayers you’re running words. Or perhaps your words have become as route as saying the alphabet.

On the other hand, perhaps you’re still considering if it’s worth praying for your future husband at all. You’ve done so many things to prepare for him. You’ve poured your heart out in so many ways. Part of you worries about being disappointed. Yet is that what prayer is about — a magic elixir for getting what we want when we want? We know it isn’t.

Prayer is an extraordinary mystery.

This sacred privilege of communicating with our heavenly Father is more than a cozy, open invitation to come to Him anytime, anywhere. Even though His ears are open to the cries of His children 24/7, prayer is more than that. Prayer is also an act of obedience. We are exhorted to pray for others and to pray without ceasing.

Neither Tricia nor I pretend to have prayer all figured out. What we do know is that God hears. He sees. He knows us. He cares more than we can ever comprehend. And most important of all, God answers prayer.

Perhaps you’ve noticed that the way God answers prayers often isn’t what we expect. We look back years later and see that what God did was oh so much better than what we first envisioned when we sent our heartfelt requests heavenward. He created us, and He desires the best for us. God always gives His best to those who leave the outcomes with Him.

Another, even more amazing mystery is that, when we pray for someone else, we change. All of us were made to be loved, to give and to receive love. When your heart connects through prayer to the One who is the source of true love, you’ll find that praying for your future husband will wondrously result in your heart being changed. And when your heart is changed, your life is transformed.

What sort of changes will God bring about in your future husband’s life as a result of your praying for him now? We don’t know.

As you pray for him, what sort of changes will God initiate in your heart? We don’t know that either.

But we do know one thing:

God proves to be good to the man who passionately waits, to the woman who diligently seeks. It’s a good thing to quietly hope, quietly hope for help from God.

It’s a good thing when you’re young to stick it out through the hard times. When life is heavy and hard to take, go off by yourself. Enter the silence. Bow in prayer.

Don’t ask questions: Wait for hope to appear (Lamentations 3:25-29, The Message).

I love that last line: “Wait for hope to appear.” Isn’t that what you need most when you’re still praying for your future husband, especially when so many of your friends are married and have children?

Perhaps you’ve prayed and prayed, but God hasn’t answered. Your prayers seem bulbs planted in a winter garden. Each time you check for results, all you see is barrenness, debris and frost. You doubt the warmth of your faith when you first planted the prayers in a season of light and hope.

Patience, dear God Lover. Nothing is wrong with your prayers. Leave all of them safely hidden with the Lord. Hold fast to the hope that He has heard and is at work in the garden of your heart.

One bright spring morning you will be stunned when you see what God’s resurrection power has done with those requests you buried so long ago.

What is it that the Lord is asking you to work on in your life during this season? Please don’t compromise your standards. Don’t start making excuses to justify why you’re settling for actions or relationships that you know in your heart aren’t what you want your life to be about.

How can you change that destructive behavior today? What are the new choices you need to start making?

Most importantly, be at peace. See this time as an opportunity for God to develop His patience in you. And don’t forget: Love is patient.

Will you get married one day? Statistics say that you will. We all know that staying married is a whole lot more important than just getting married. How you spend this stretch of waiting and allowing God to develop His patience in you will only benefit you during the difficult times that all married couples go through.

And just as there are two people in every marriage, there are two people who are learning patience as they wait for each other. If you’re having a hard time, your future husband most ly will, too. Your prayers will make a difference.

How do I pray for God to develop patience in my future husband?

  • Pray he will turn to God and that God’s peace will help him to be inwardly calm and willing to wait.
  • Pray he will have a quiet and steady faithfulness to God.
  • Pray he will be content in every state he finds himself in.

  • Pray his eyes will be focused on things to come, rather than things he wished he had now.
  • Pray he will not push for answers before the time is right.
  • Pray he will trust God’s sense of timing.
  • Pray he will be reminded of all the times God has been patient with him.

  • Pray he waits with hope and expectancy.

Of course, as you pray these things for your future husband, be sure to pray the same for yourself. Patience is holding a closed bud of promise in your hand. Imagine that closed, white rose in your mind. Consider allowing each petal to unfold slowly, in its own way.

Can you see the beauty of each stage? Can you see God’s hand wrapped around yours, watching the unfolding with you?

The Love Story

Will your love story come true? For many of you it will. Concerning your future husband it could be in the near(er) future, or some, it could be years in the distance. It could be a quick romance. It could be a slow falling in love. It could be exactly you pictured it or nothing you ever dreamed.

But when the day comes that your story is celebrated by your closest friends and family, you’ll know that every prayer was worth it. And you might even wish you’d prayed more, because prayers are the first gifts you give to your future husband. Gifts that heaven participates in giving.

While we can’t guarantee every one of you will have that type of love story, there is another type we do believe will take place. Everyone, everywhere can have a beautiful love story with her God. It begins the moment you look into His eyes, realize how much you are loved, and give your love and commitment in return.

While we cannot guarantee your prayers will lead you down the aisle to a waiting mate, we do know that every prayer whispered is precious to God. None of them are wasted. While we hope your prayers for the man of your dreams come true, we know that your prayers bring you closer to the God of your eternity. And seeing the love in His gaze is the most beautiful love story of all.

If you are to be committed to anything, be committed to preparing your heart for God’s — in this way — and in every other aspect of your life. The love you’ll experience will be life-changing, and the celebration in eternity is one to look forward to with all your heart.
