Prayer For A Heart Cleansing

Are you facing a difficult disease, illness or malady and want to cry out to God for healing but don't know what to pray? If you feel scared, alone, unsure of the future, or don't understand how healing works, pray these words below in faith today! Below are ten healing prayers, an interview with Max Lucado explaining how we should pray for healing, and some of our favorite Bible verses on healing.

God tells us that through prayer, He can speak to us and use us to work miracles for His glory. When you use this prayer for healing you are coming to God completely surrendered and expectant to let His Holy Spirit work in and through you. I pray that you will find miraculous healing as you seek God's plan for your life – His plan to prosper you and to give you a hope and future!

1. A Prayer for Personal Healing

God, you know me so well. You created me. You know the number of hairs on my head, and you even know the thoughts conceived in my heart before I ever vocalize them. You've told us to come to you and ask for every need of life. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals, and you have the final word on my destiny, the number of years I'll live and serve you on earth.

I'm coming to you today as your child, longing to hear from you and asking for your divine healing. There's so much I don't understand about life. But I do know that with one touch, one word, you can make me whole. Please forgive me of my sins, cleanse me of my unrighteousness, and begin your healing from the inside out.

I don't always know what your will is Lord, especially in times now, when I desperately seek your face. I offer you no promises, no bargains, no deals to exchange for my health.

I simply bow my heart before you to tell you the desire of my heart: that I want to spend as many years as I can loving you here, loving others, and wanting to become more you. However you choose to accomplish that is up to you—and okay with me.

If you use doctors to provide healing, give them wisdom to know what to do. Regardless of how you accomplish it, the healing you give is always miraculous. And you deserve all the praise.

I absolutely believe you have the power to heal. You demonstrated that on earth, and you still heal in miraculous ways today.

Even when my faith is weak, you say it is enough, and my love for you is strong. And I know you already hold my heart and life in your hands. It's up to you.

If I can bring you more glory through healing, then that's what I ask for. That's what I desire.

But if your answer is no, or not now, I know that your grace is sufficient for me. Ultimately, I want your will to be my will. I look forward to spending an eternity with you.

But Lord, if you have planned still more for me to do here on this earth, I not only need and want your physical healing, Lord, but a thorough, deep-down cleansing and strengthening—a whole-hearted renewal of all that I am. Because all that I am is yours.

Use this trial to strengthen me from a “what-if” faith to a “no-matter-what” faith. And no matter what, I choose to honor you and give you glory. In Jesus's name, Amen. ~ Rebecca Barlow Jordan

2. A Short Prayer for Healing for Friends

Lord, your Word speaks promises of healing and restoration and I thank you for the miracles you still perform today. Today I claim those promises over my friend.

I believe in the healing power of faith and prayer and I ask you to begin your mighty work in the life of my friend. Please reach down and surround my friend with supernatural peace and strength and give her the faith to believe that all things are possible for you.

Protect her from Satan's lies and discouragement and let her miraculous healing begin. Amen.

3. A Prayer for Healing and Grace

Dear God,
We confess our need for you today. We need your healing and your grace. We need hope restored. We need to be reminded that you work on behalf of those you love, constantly, powerfully, completely. Forgive us for trying to fix our situations all on our own.

Forgive us for running all different directions and spinning our wheels to find help, when true help and healing must be found first in You. Forgive us for forgetting how much we need you, above everyone and everything else. We come to you and bring you the places we are hurting.

You see where no one else is able to fully see or understand. You know the pain we've carried. The burdens. The cares. You know where we need to be set free. We ask for your healing and grace to cover every broken place. Every wound. Every heartache.

Thank you that you are Able to do far more than we could ever imagine. Thank you for your Mighty Power that acts on behalf of your children. We reach out to you, and know that you are restoring and redeeming every place of difficulty, every battle, for your greater glory.

Thank you that you will never waste our pain and suffering. We love you. We need you today.  In Jesus' Name, Amen ~ Debbie McDaniel

4. A Prayer for Healing Sick Family and Friends

Lord Jesus, thank you that you love [name of person who needs healing]. I know that you hate what their illness is doing to them/me. I ask that you would heal this disease, that you would have compassion and bring healing from all sickness.

Your word says in Psalm 107:19-20 that when we call out to you the Eternal one you will give the order, heal and rescue us from certain death.

In the Bible, I have read of miraculous healing and I believe that you still heal the same way today.

I believe that there is no illness you cannot heal after all the bible tells of you raising people from the dead so I ask for your healing in this situation.

I also know from my experience of life on earth that not everyone is healed. If that happens here than keep my heart soft towards you, help me to understand your plan and help me to be excited about heaven.

God, I thank you that [name of person who needs healing] belongs to you and that you are in control of everything that happens from our first breath to our last sigh. Amen. ~ Wendy van Eyck

5. A Prayer to Heal the Hurt

Father, help me get my focus back on you. I know I need to stop dwelling on my hurts and frustrations. Help me be faithful in prayer and put my hope in you. May the Holy Spirit guide and comfort and strengthen me. In Jesus' name, Amen. ~ Living Free Every Day Devotional

6. A Prayer for Forgiveness

Dear God, I’m sorry for my sin. I ______________ (what you did), which was a sin against you, as well as a sin against __________ (who you hurt). Please help me turn from this behavior.

I will begin ________________  (how you’ll change) instead of what I have done. Please forgive me and help me to grow in my relationship to you and _________, whom I’ve hurt. Thank you for your love and mercy.

Thank you for forgiving me and choosing to forget my sin. In Jesus’ name, Amen. ~ Sue Schlesman

7. A Prayer for Those Who Feel Wounded

Dear God, We feel wounded, betrayed, and brokenhearted. We wonder sometimes if we can ever fully recover from the deep hurt we feel inside. Thank you that you know what we’ve been through and the struggles we still carry. Help us to forgive.

Help us to let go. We know that we can move forward with you in peace and freedom. We pray for those who have hurt us right now, and ask for your power to work mightily within their lives.

We leave them in your hands and find our comfort and strength in your spirit.

Thank you that you understand all that we’ve faced, that you see and you care. We ask that when the enemy taunts us with lies and tries to bring up the hurt of the past, you would silence his voice and allow us to walk free.

We bring you all the stuff that he would use to try to trap us or stop us – the pain, the past, the mistakes, the struggles. And we lay it at your feet, again. Thank you for your healing, for your grace, for your hope. Thank you that you have set us free and will not waste the pain that we’ve carried.

We look forward to the greater good and purpose you will bring through this struggle.

We love you Lord, we need you, we trust you. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. ~ Debbie McDaniel

Spiritual House Cleansing Prayer

Prayer For A Heart Cleansing

Let’s look at why we may need to do a spiritual house cleansing. Are you having weird things happening in your house that is explainable? You may need to do a spiritual house cleansing prayer.

First, let’s look at what allows the demonic to come into your home. Then, ten steps to do a spiritual house cleansing before doing the spiritual house cleansing prayer.

It says in 1 Corinthians 2:14,

“The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

If you are looking to buy a house, find out the history. Defiled buildings, houses, land, places, buildings and houses become occupied by the presence of evil through a number of methods including the following:

  • war (bloodshed)
  • trauma
  • ungodly altars to other gods
  • greed
  • racism
  • crime, violence, murder (shed blood)  – this puts a cap or hard rock in the heavenlies*
  • Satan ritual abuse
  • satanic worship using blood in sacrifice (this puts a cap or hard rock in the heavenlies*
  • broken covenants
  • sins committed there
  • occult or demon worship
  • bloodshed of innocent people (this puts a cap or hard rock in the heavenlies*
  • covenants made with darkness
  • land used by new agers, Masons, Mormons,
  • contaminated objects buried in the ground
  • deceptive political/governmental leadership
  • early pagan spiritual beliefs and practices
  • sexual sins such as prostitution, adultery, fornication, rape, bestiality
  • temples of active idolatrous worship such as Islam, or Buddhist temples
  • activities such as divination, sorcery, spiritualism, clairvoyance

The above-referenced list are ways a house can become occupied by demonic spirits.

Jeremiah 23:29 “My word as a fire? saith the LORD; and a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?”The Word of God is fire, which tests and consumes and no one can stand against it.

This Word is as powerful as the hammer that breaks the most stubborn demonic rock in the atmostphere. You need to pray and have breakthroughs and when that happens, it melts the rock for us to have an open heaven from God.

James 5:16 NKJV The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.  God’s word is a fire because it gives light.

The Importance of Spiritual House Cleansing

Therefore, the land is therein contaminated by the presence of evil, or by the existence of evil in those that inhabit the earth or place. Because these activities occur as a result of the choices and actions of those involved, the powers of darkness have legal rights (or permission) to claim the land or place for evil purposes and the necessary to spiritual house cleansing.

Ten Steps For House Cleansing:

We need to believe the Word of God, Do what the Word of God says and not allow these objects to come into our houses.

Step 1: Remove these objects by destroying them.  Then renounce any participation you or your family had with these objects willingly or unknowingly.  Command the demonic forces linked with that object to leaving in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.  Then take the objects out and burn it.  If it will not burn, break it or flush it down the toilet.

Step 2: Repent to the Lord and confess all your sins to the Lord and ask for forgiveness and the cleansing Blood of the Lamb.

Step 3: Remove demonic structure and decommissioning of personal demonic forces.

Step 4: Loose Godly seed and angelic forces and fire to burn all demonic forces the house.  Also, pray for any hidden thing to come in the light of God and that all shadows and veils become exposed and removed for spiritual wisdom and discernment.

Step 5: Ask the Lord to muzzle the gatekeepers and guardians ruling over the property.  Cut the property free from the overlords and the territorial demons and their authority.

Step 6: Break all communication and unification of the lines of communication in the spirit realm between the demonic forces.  Break all power points especially electricity, waterways and sewerage system as a source of power.

Declare that the seasons in the spirit (death, destruction, famine, war, worship of Mammon can be changed over the place and remove all demonic banners and decrees.  Close all gateways in the spirit to the area and seal off the property by the blood of the lamb.

Ask God to purify all four of the elements (fire, air, water, earth)

Step 7: Declare Jesus as your King and Savior over your home and dedicate your home and property to the Lord.  Then anoint your home with oil especially the doors, windows, and mirrors.

Declare your home as a haven for dark forces but be a beacon of light and a place of rest and safety.

Step 8: Cleanse spiritual atmosphere in each room and declare God is King and Savior over each room.

Step 9: Break all curses associated with the objects such as reverse the curses of fighting to peace, financial troubles to blessings, violence to peace, nightmares to sweet sleep, accidents to blessings, and anything the Lord shows you.

Step 10: Then consecrate the land to the Lord.

Take stakes, anoint them, and then from the center of the property raising an imaginary canopy of praise to God by worshipping Him, singing songs, and declaring Him King and Savior over your estate.

Declare to the Lord over the powers of darkness that your land set apart for the Lord.    Take the stakes and put scriptures on them and then drive the stake into the ground at each corner of your area.

Optional: Step 11: Have communion on your land and declare your land Belongs to the Lord.  Use scriptures such as Ps. 91, Isaiah 54:2-3, Jeremiah 29:7, Luke 1:37, Joshua 24:15.

Turn on the spiritual songs in your home to fill your home with the Word and with Praise.

A Prayer for a Broken Heart

Prayer For A Heart Cleansing

  • Cortney Whiting
  • 2017Nov 14

As I browse the checkout line at the grocery store, I notice the covers of the magazines. The decorated tables, beautiful homes, and smiling models. They are pictures of perfection. Yet, adjacent to these are the gossip tabloids, exploiting the misery and pain of others. The photographs are raw. Within the space of a few inches is a dichotomy that reflects how our world can turn on a dime.

Since sin entered the world, creation has suffered its consequences. Distrust, discomfort, and death were not original to Eden. Yet, because of sin, we live with brokenness. We suffer injustice by the hands of others. We experience the consequence of our own transgressions.

But by God’s grace, we can experience healing. Sometimes, we set limits on how God heals. We picture Jesus healing a blind man or a sick woman. Yet, these actions were signs to point to his authority. God sent the Wounded Healer to restore the brokenhearted back to himself.

Psalm 34:18 states that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted. Having personally experienced the repercussions of this fallen world, I find solace in this verse. We are not abandoned in times of strife. Our Heavenly Father sees and responds to our pain.

We see this in the story of Hagar, the Egyptian slave, in Genesis 16 and 21. Though cast aside by her mistress and left to die, the Lord continued to see and provide for her and her child. She responds by giving him the name, “The God who sees.

” Psalm 147 praises God for his ability to heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds.

In Isaiah 61:1, God promises to bind up the brokenhearted. This was the verse Jesus proclaimed in the synagogue at the beginning of his ministry.

We sometimes confuse this promise with immediate healing and when we continue to feel pangs of sorrow, our faith wanes. His purpose was to bind up a world that had been broken by sin.

The concept of binding implies that he will wrap us tightly in his loving presence and hold us, making it so we can carry on.

When Jesus entered the world, he experienced the same grief and brokenness caused by sin that we experience today. He suffered and endured rejection, humiliation, hunger, temptation, sorrow, and betrayal. Yet, through his death and resurrection, he overcame the world by conquering sin and death.

Through his resurrection, we have victory over the darkness. By his stripes, we are healed. We have the hope to carry on because we are more than conquerors in Christ because nothing can separate us from the love of God (Romans 8:37-39).

It is this truth that we must cling to in times of crisis and heartbreak.

Before his crucifixion, Jesus predicted the heartbreak his disciples will experience (John 16). Even in his prediction was hope. This hope came through the promise of the Spirit. Through the Spirit, the disciples would be able to experience the fullness of God and a joy previously unknown. But it was by pathway of sorrow that the intimacy of rejoicing would follow.

Jesus promised the Spirit would help, comfort, convict, and guide believers in their ministry after he was gone. Before the resurrection and the Holy Spirit’s arrival at Pentecost, the disciples deserted Jesus, fled for their lives, and were living in fear.

After the resurrection and at through the Spirit, the disciples spread the gospel message and made way for the Church to make a lasting impact for thousands of years.

Perhaps healing should not be gauged by restoration of physical property or life, but rather a renewal of our intimacy with our Creator and Sustainer God. We were created to be at peace with God and with others. Sin has broken our ability to obtain that in and of ourselves.

Yet, through Christ, God has graciously given us an opportunity to receive healing to our delicate hearts in a broken world.

By Christ’s parting gift of His Spirit, we are comforted in the most trying times and are given the divine strength to live another day in the joy that only God can give.

A Prayer for a Broken Heart:

Lord, my heart is so heavy this morning. My sorrow is so great. In the midst of all this pain I am feeling, I am so thankful that you are God and I am not. I am thankful that you are all-powerful, that I do not have to hold it all together or be strong for everyone in my life.

You are my strength. You are strong for my loved-ones when I can’t be. I am thankful you are all-knowing – that you know the outcome to this misery I am facing. That I don’t have to figure out what the next week or month or year looks , because you have it all held together.

And you promise my feet won’t slip. Help me, Lord! Strengthen me for today. Give me daily bread, that I can be sustained through this heartache. Thank you God that you are close when I am hurting. Thank you God for the comfort, grace and joy that only you can give. Hold me up today.

In your name I pray, Amen.
