Prayer for a Heavy Heart

Lord, I want to lay before you all that weighs heavy on my heart. Reveal even the sin I am not aware of, Lord. I lay these at your feet and pray your forgiveness on me. In Jesus' Name, Amen. ~ Rick Warren

Father, sometimes it does feel that you have left us in the battle. We know that you are with us, but so are our feelings of aloneness. The Enemy seems to be taking ground. Our crying out to you seems to go unanswered. We know you are at work, but help us trust you in the midst of our questions. In Jesus' Name, Amen. ~ Ron Moore

Short Prayer for Thankfulness

God, sometimes life gets me down and I find it hard to see things to be thankful for. Open my eyes to see the gifts you’ve given me in my life. I’m going to start by thanking you for loving me enough to come to earth and die so we can live together forever. Amen. ~ Wendy van Eyck

Prayer for Restored Relationships

Father God, open my eyes to see the ways I’m Cain.

What conflicts am I allowing to brew in my family? What anger is bubbling into murderous rage in my relationships? Thank You for the clarity to see how hatred kills relationships.

I choose instead the way of love. Love protects. Help me to protect those I love by loving them. Your way is always best, Father. I pray in Jesus’ Name, Amen. ~ James MacDonald

A Prayer for the Worried Mom’s Heart

Prayer For A Deeper Faith And Love For Jesus

Do you ever worry?

I think we can all admit that we do. In fact, we probably worry more than we realize. As a mother, I find myself worrying about my children, about their health, their learning, and whether I can just make it to bedtime each day.

I also find myself worried about paying bills, about my husband’s travel for work, and about that message from my doctor needing to discuss test results with me. My to-do lists keep me awake at night because I fear I’ll forget to do something important. Questions “what if?” and “should I have?” swirl around my mind, holding me hostage and keeping me chained to my worries and fears.

“To expel worry from our heart, we need to grow deeper roots of trust in God.”

Worry is a kind of “acceptable sin.” By that I mean worry is one of those sins that everyone does so we don’t often address it. gossip, worry is something we all know we aren’t supposed to do, but we often gloss over it and call it something else — something stress. Especially for women, worry can be expected and in some situations to not worry would seem strange.

But deep down, we want to be freed from the chronic feeling of doom and the expectation of something bad lurking just around the corner. We know that the Bible tells us not to worry, but “what if?” thoughts seem such a part of us that we don’t know how to stop.

What can we do?

Remember and Pray

oil and water, trust and worry do not mix. To expel worry from our heart, we need to grow deeper roots of trust in God.

Time and again in the Psalms, when the writer’s heart was heavy, he turned to look back at all that God had done for him.

As the psalmist looked back at God’s faithfulness and his sovereign care for him, he was able to trust God, even in the midst of troubling circumstances.

When we look back on our own lives at God’s faithfulness to us, it gives us confidence and hope in his future faithfulness. We look back to our own story of salvation.

We see that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, that this is the demonstration of God’s love for us (Romans 5:8). When worries threaten to seize our heart, we need to remember and dwell on the truth of the gospel.

Remembering the cross propels us in faith for what lies ahead.

“God, forgive me for trying to control so many things, instead of praying to the one in control of everything.”

And as we remember, we need to turn to God in prayer. Hebrews says that because of Jesus, we can come to the throne of grace with confidence, to receive the help we need (Hebrews 4:16).

Paul was referring to chronic worry when he wrote in Philippians 4:6, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” We are to give our worries to God in prayer, trusting him with all our burdens and cares.

As a result, we will receive in return the peace we long for, “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7).

You might even pray something this. . . .

A Prayer for the Worried Heart

My Papa in Heaven,

I come to you with a heart heavy and full of so many worries and cares. I want to just curl up on your lap and find some peace from the chaos in my life. My worries fill my mind night and day. My stomach is in knots and I can hardly breathe. I feel I am drained dry; the joy has been sucked right me.

But you said to come to you with all my burdens. You said that you will carry them. You tell us you are a rock, a shield, a fortress. I need a rock right now. I need a fortress to run into right now. I need you.

There are so many decisions to make. What if I make the wrong one? So many bad things loom on the horizon. What if I’m not prepared? Help me to focus my heart on you and not on the giants around me. I know that all these worries are keeping me from trusting you. Peter, instead of looking toward your face, I am looking around at the waves encircling me.

Forgive me for doubting and not living a life of trust. I believe, but please help my unbelief! I know that when I worry, I am believing a lie that says that I can control what happens in my life. Forgive me for trying to control something I never really had control of. Help me to trust in your word and not the lies.

You sent your Son to carry my greatest burden at the cross. I know that you can handle all that troubles me today. There is nothing too great for you, the earth is your footstool and the wind and rain come and go at your command. Free me of this worry today. Help me to trust the same grace that saved me at the cross to save me from all that weighs me down.

I know that you have a perfect plan for my life. Help me to walk by faith and not by sight. I want to trust in your plan and your love for me. I want to face the unknown future confident that you have it under control. Grant me the grace I need.

Thank you for Jesus and that because of him I can come to you in confidence. You accept me as I am, worries and all. I give them all to you now, in Jesus’s name, Amen.

Powerful Prayers for Love [Quotes & Bible Verses]

Prayer For A Deeper Faith And Love For Jesus

HIS love is unlimited for all eternity.

“I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.” – Song of Solomon 8:3

Love might just be the most powerful entity that affects both the emotional and mental states. In other words, love can alter the way we act and think about a particular individual/entity.

A mother's love for her child is always unparalleled and a man’s always so possessive of the attention his lady shows. We can even call that jealousy and from experience, the greater the love, the greater the jealousy. That said, God is an extremely jealous Father.

He is also an all-encompassing family that offers so much more in our times of need. So, His love compels Him to be with us through thick and thin. And since we're our Father's children, we can't help but emulate such characteristics.

Still, attention must be paid to the fact that tempering the love of God with ours leads to an eternal bond between people. And in favor of such blessing, we have the following love prayers that work quite well.

Prayer for Love to Return

God, I thank You for granting me the resolve to stand before You today in acceptance of my faults and wrongs. I know I have treated him/her badly and the pain I'm feeling is due to my levity on the part of his/her feelings.

Please, God, I pray for an opportunity from You to apologise for my wrongdoings. He or she is the other half of me—the one that makes me whole. Father, I believe he or she is my completion and I pray that he returns to me. With open hands, I'll welcome him/her into my warm embrace.

Thank You once again for another miracle, Amen.

Prayer about Love for Others

Loving You is the best thing that has happened to me Oh Lord. You have stood by me ever since the fateful day that I accepted Your company. You have showered me with Your pure love, blessings, miracles, and divine protection. In fact, this prayer is only due to Your power.

By which, You kept me alive to see today and to make a request. I pray, Father in Heaven that You open the eyes of my family and friends. And for the ones who love You I do, Father keep both their eyes and mine open to Your devotion and adoration. I bless Your divine name for this deep and short prayer for love.

In Jesus Name I Pray, Amen.

Prayer for Love and Happiness

Looking back Lord, I understand that happiness is key to having a love-filled relationship. And from my experiences also, I know You hold that key.

God, I want You to open the door of joy in our lives so that this relationship will endure. It will easily endure ups and downs and the trials of time.

Let me breathe in the aroma of sweet love and fully immerse myself in the happiness given by my partner. Father, I give thanks to Your name over the answered prayers, Amen.

Prayer for the One You Love

Love is the emotion that drives me here Lord. I love him/her enough to pray on his/her behalf and You love me enough to make level all my worries. Father, I need You to take good care of “Name”.

He/she, despite the act, is always in need of Your favour and I pray that You show him/her more than enough. He/she shall be protected, raised heads about others, and miracles will be performed in his or her life.

Praises be sung about Your everlasting mercy, and In Jesus Name, Amen.

Prayer for Love and Marriage

As required by every child Lord, I bring my beloved to ask for Your blessing. He or she has been faithful, caring, and patient—so, I stand before You today, basking in Your glow as I ask that he/she be the one for me.

I want a peaceful and joy-filled marriage that'll be inseparable. Love shall be shared between us and there will be calm always. Father, prosperity in the areas of procreation, financial stability, and spiritual awareness shall complement our love.

I thank You for Your daily attention to my needs, Amen.

Bible Verses for Love

A few bible verses compiled for your consumption daily.

“Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken man.” That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.” – Genesis 2:22-24

The relationship between man and wife has been established from the beginning. Such meetings with your significant others are thus ordained by God.

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.

Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

” – Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Completion cannot be attained without a significant other. In fact, life isn't so simple without your other and the verse above explains what that is about.

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” –  1 Corinthians 13:4-8

This is the kind of love that our Father has towards us. It's also the kind of love that we should emulate towards each other (significant other, friends, and family).

“A friend loves at all times.” – Proverbs 17:17

The word “friend” isn't limited to your close pals only. It's a position that can be filled by God, your partner, and family.

Here’s A Powerful Prayer For Healing

Prayer For A Deeper Faith And Love For Jesus

Are you facing a difficult disease, illness or malady and want to cry out to God for healing but don’t know what to pray? If you feel scared, alone, unsure of the future, or don’t understand how healing works, pray these words below in faith today! Below is a prayer for healing, an interview with Max Lucado explaining how we should pray for healing, and some of our favorite Bible verses on healing.

God tells us that through prayer, He can speak to us and use us to work miracles for His glory. When you use this prayer for healing you are coming to God completely surrendered and expectant to let His Holy Spirit work in and through you. I pray that you will find miraculous healing as you seek God’s plan for your life – His plan to prosper you and to give you a hope and future!

God, you know me so well. You created me. You know the number of hairs on my head, and you even know the thoughts conceived in my heart before I ever vocalize them. You’ve told us to come to you and ask for every need of life. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals, and you have the final word on my destiny, the number of years I’ll live and serve you on earth.

I’m coming to you today as your child, longing to hear from you and asking for your divine healing. There’s so much I don’t understand about life. But I do know that with one touch, one word, you can make me whole. Please forgive me of my sins, cleanse me of my unrighteousness, and begin your healing from the inside out.

I don’t always know what your will is Lord, especially in times now, when I desperately seek your face. I offer you no promises, no bargains, no deals to exchange for my health.

I simply bow my heart before you to tell you the desire of my heart: that I want to spend as many years as I can loving you here, loving others, and wanting to become more you. However you choose to accomplish that is up to you-and okay with me.

If you use doctors to provide healing, give them wisdom to know what to do. Regardless of how you accomplish it, the healing you give is always miraculous. And you deserve all the praise.

I absolutely believe you have the power to heal. You demonstrated that on earth, and you still heal in miraculous ways today. Even when my faith is weak, you say it is enough, and my love for you is strong. And I know you already hold my heart and life in your hands. It’s up to you. If I can bring you more glory through healing, then that’s what I ask for. That’s what I desire.

But if your answer is no, or not now, I know that your grace is sufficient for me. Ultimately, I want your will to be my will. I look forward to spending an eternity with you.

But Lord, if you have planned still more for me to do here on this earth, I not only need and want your physical healing, Lord, but a thorough, deep-down cleansing and strengthening-a whole-hearted renewal of all that I am. Because all that I am is yours.

Use this trial to strengthen me from a “what-if” faith to a “no-matter-what” faith. And no matter what, I choose to honor you and give you glory.

In Jesus’s name, Amen.

A Short Prayer for Healing for Friends

Lord, your Word speaks promises of healing and restoration and I thank you for the miracles you still perform today. Today I claim those promises over my friend.

I believe in the healing power of faith and prayer and I ask you to begin your mighty work in the life of my friend. Please reach down and surround my friend with supernatural peace and strength and give her the faith to believe that all things are possible for you.

Protect her from Satan’s lies and discouragement and let her miraculous healing begin. Amen.
