Prayer For Unbelievers Husband

7 Prayers For Forgiveness and Repentance

Prayer For Unbelievers Husband

Forgiveness and repentance go hand-in-hand in a Christian’s life.  We must learn to always forgive others and to ask for forgiveness ourselves.  Without repentance, we are liable of judgment from God.

If we withhold forgiveness to others, forgiveness will also be withheld from us.  Here are 7 prayers focusing on forgiveness and repentance.

May we all strive to live as holy as possible by allowing the Spirit to convict us of our sins and to forgive others that sin against us.

Forgive Me

Father,

There are no words to express how filthy I feel every time I break Your heart.  The guilt and the shame are overwhelming!  Lord, I need Your touch right now.  I am so sick of being “born again” and still doing the things I hate doing.  Paul, I am conflicted.

“For I do not do what I want, but do the very thing that I hate.” (Romans 7:15) I am so sorry!  Father, I ask for Your forgiveness right now.  I am shocked that my life has come to a point where even some sins don’t affect me at all.

Father, I have some hard layers on my heart that need peeling.  Please give me a 100% heart of flesh.  The hardness is a barrier between us that I can’t stand!  I love You and I am so regrettably sorry for my selfish actions.  Thank You for Your forgiveness, Lord.

Without forgiveness I am nothing.  With Your forgiveness I am whole again.  I praise Your Name!  Amen

Strength To Forgive Others

Holy Lord,

With Your forgiveness I am whole again. I praise Your Name! Amen

I can’t seem to shake the harm that’s been done to me off my shoulders.  I am wallowing in the anger I feel.  Lord, I shouldn’t think the vengeful thoughts that I have.  You have called me to forgive every single person that wrongs me.  I need Your strength to overcome these trespasses against me.  Father, I want to forgive these people.

Please cast the devil’s evil ways from me.  I want to look at these people and see lost souls that need You.  I want to forgive them completely so that You can use me however You wish, to be Jesus to them.  Father, I am done with holding these grudges!  Forgive me for holding on to them.  I cast this burden at Your throne now.  Do with me as you please Father.

I love You and thank you for Your patience with me.  Amen

Why Lord?

Beautiful Lord,

Why do You forgive us?  We shout praises to You when we sing worship.  With the same tongue we curse other people that are made in Your image. (James 3:9 reference)  Why do You forgive us?  We say we love You and still keep sinning.

Why do You forgive us?  We spend time in prayer thanking You for your blessings and then we refuse to bless others.  Why do You forgive us?  We read our Bibles when we make time for it, but we also read other nonsense that is offensive to You.

Why do You forgive us?  We praise Jesus for His death on the cross for the atonement of our sins and then we nail Him to it again every time we trespass against You.  Why do You forgive us every single time?  I am so thankful for your endless supply of forgiveness!  I can’t fathom how You do it, for I am only one man.

You do this for every single person!  The compassion and grace and mercy that flow from You is absolutely amazing and I love You for it!  Thank you so much for forgiving me every time I sin!  You are worthy to be praised!  Amen

Repentance From Unbelievers

Father in heaven,

My heart grieves for those close to me that do not want to know You.  They are lost souls wandering wherever the devil takes them.  They are fulfilling their own desires of the flesh instead of yearning for the life that You give.

Father, use me or anyone that You please to show Christ- love to them.  Father, I love these men and women and to think of them in eternal torment is tormenting me!  I pray that the seeds that are planted in them Lord will be grown by You.

You make miracles happen every day and I pray that You make one today in the lives of the lost.  I praise Your Holy Name!  Amen

Forgiveness For Children

Father,

Just as Job continually offered burnt offerings to you for the forgiveness of his children, (Job 1:5) I am praying for the forgiveness of mine.  Lord, only You know what they have done.  If they have sinned against You I pray that You would forgive them.

I pray that they would seek repentance to make things right with You.  Lord, if there is any sin that needs to be forgiven, I pray that You would soften their hearts and bring them safely into Your arms of grace and mercy.

I thank you for Your unlimited love for us!  Amen

Our Leaders

Omnipotent Father,

You are all-powerful!  Even Your thoughts produce action.  I pray for our leaders in the government.  Lord, they also have power, though it is limited.  I pray that they would use their positions wisely, for You are the One who has allowed them to lead us.  We need strong men and women of faith in these kinds of roles.

I pray that our men and women in authority will strive to live godly lives and to repent when necessary.  As in Animal Farm, “Absolute power corrupts absolutely.”  If there is any corruption, I pray that our leaders would repent and ask for forgiveness, so that our country doesn’t fall apart.

I thank you for our leaders and pray for their safety.  I love you Father!  Amen

Our Pastors

Dear Lord,

I pray for pastors around the world.  If there is any un-confessed sin active in their lives, I pray that You would bring them to the deepest valleys if that is what it takes to get them back on the narrow path.  We need strong pastors leading our congregations.

I pray that You would use the people closest to their pastors to keep them accountable, Lord.  Accountability is a must in every Christian’s life.  I thank you for our pastors, Lord, for they have a huge role to play here on earth.

They have many big responsibilities and I am so grateful that they accept the challenges of pastoring.  I love You, Lord!  Amen

Conclusion

Forgiveness is absolutely necessary in a Christian’s walk with the Lord.  “Forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us.” (Luke 11:4)  God bless you as you live a life worthy of the calling!

Prayers For Husband | 13 Bible Verses to Pray Over Your Husband

Prayer For Unbelievers Husband

Saying prayers for husband can be a powerful instrument that can guide your man on all areas of his life. For those of us who are believers, we know this to be true: there is power in the Word of God.

We pray because we know we will be guided in dealing with the daily challenges of our lives. We also offer the same prayers for our husbands and other loved ones. Learn these prayers for husbands in this post.

The Power Of Praying

Recently, I was reminded of this when I read an Instagram post that spoke about using the Word of God to pray over our children (stay tuned for that in the coming weeks). I wept when I read those words. Somewhere along the way, I forgot about the power that comes from praying the Word of God for the people I love.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)

And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them. (Deuteronomy 28:13)

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)

I was reminded that not only can I look at the Word for direction on how to pray when it comes to my own life and my family as a whole but also for each of the individual members that fill it. It’s not only I can pray for them but also I can pray over them.

My Mom’s Weapon Of Choice

My mother’s email address is armed4warfare. I always cringed when she would give this address to someone. Is the lady at Macy’s going to think she is some militant woman ready to do combat? But, the thing is, my mom made it with spiritual warfare in mind. My mom is a warrior, and God uses her in mighty ways when she goes before Him in prayer. Her weapon of choice? God’s words!

A Deeper Look At God’s Words

And, while the manner in which I pray may be different, God can still use me to bless and minister on my own family. Not only has this encouraged me to step up my prayer game but it also has encouraged me to take a deeper look at God’s word. After stumbling upon a post that shared Bible verses to pray over your husband, I felt compelled to share some of them with you.

I have heard so many women speak to the fact that we are tired of fighting for our marriages and families. We have grown weary, but maybe we are doing it – fighting all wrong? Perhaps our prayers need to change from Lord please help my husband not be so stubborn to Lord please help my husband continue to lead our family, help us to live in a way that will glorify you.

Over the next few weeks, as I take a closer look at the Word particularly when it comes to incorporating scripture into my prayers, I will share Bible verses that we can pray over our husbands, wives, and children. If you know of some additional ones, please leave them in the comments. My prayer is we will see God move in our marriages and our families as a whole as we put Him first and seek Him in all things.

Take a look at these 13 Bible verses to pray over your husband:

1. How To Love Your Wife

“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. So, husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. Three Steps For Praying For The Unbeliever – The Great Commission Blog

Prayer For Unbelievers Husband

When my husband and I married, we both thought he was a believer.  We went to church, read the Bible, and prayed together.  But some unexpected career disappointments in the first year of our marriage turned Dennis’ heart away from God, and one Sunday morning, as we were getting ready for church, he told me he wasn’t going, that he didn’t believe in God any more.

So began our married life together while we went our separate ways spiritually. It was a difficult twelve years.

My heart was broken with Dennis’ announcement. I wanted so badly for him to know God that I would have happily bonked him over the head with a two-by-four and dragged him over the border into the Kingdom.

I knew he would thank me once he woke up on the other side! But he is six-three and I am five-two, so this wasn’t an option.

My only recourse, it seemed, was to pray for Dennis’ salvation, and I began to do that earnestly.

“How, Lord?”

But my question was: how should I pray for him?  I suspected God would not be into the bonk-and-drag procedure, even though he was strong enough to do it. Somehow, in his absolute sovereignty, God has also decided to honor the choices people make of their own free will. So how could I pray that God would save my husband?

As I began to pray, I asked this question, and gradually, over the years, I learned how to appropriately and effectively pray for my husband’s salvation. If you long for someone you love to come to know Jesus, here are three ways you can pray for them:

1.  LOVE

First, you can ask God to reveal His overwhelmingly deep and unconditional love for the person you want to see come to Jesus.

Jesus says, “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them” (John 6:44), and it’s God’s love that does the drawing. A strong, cold wind cannot blow the coat off a man’s back, but when the warm sun shines steadily and gently down on him, he will freely choose to remove it.

It is very appropriate for us to pray that God will shine his love down on the ones we want to see come to Jesus, so that they will be drawn to choosing him. In his first Epistle, John says, “We love him because he first loved us.”  No one can love God first. It’s only as people discover his love that they can choose to respond and love him back.

2.   LIGHT

Second, you can ask God to open the eyes of your loved one so they can see the Light.

“Seeing the light” has become a cliche, but it’s essential to salvation.

II Corinthians 4:4 says, “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

” Satan will do everything he can to keep people from seeing Jesus, because he knows when they see him they will know the Truth and he will lose his control over them.

We cannot pray that God will force people to choose Jesus, but, because of what Jesus did on the cross, we have the right to pray that the huge obstacle of spiritual blindness be removed.

Job said, “My ears had heard of you, but now my eyes have seen you.  Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes.

” (Job 42:5-6) When the Light shines on an unbelieving heart, it becomes very hard for that heart to reject the Truth that the light reveals.

3.  FREEDOM

Third, you can ask God to free your unbelieving loved ones from bondages that keep them from choosing him.

Adam and Eve were created with the freedom to choose to obey their Creator. When they chose disobedience, they sold themselves, and the whole human race, into slavery. The god of this age became our taskmaster. Jesus bought freedom back for us when he died on the cross. But that freedom does not always come to us automatically.

Satan will not let his slaves go without putting up a fight, and often there is a great struggle to claim freedom, both before and after we choose to give our lives to Jesus. Bondages of pride, rebellion, unbelief and fear restrict the ability of unbelievers to choose Jesus.

But as a believer, you can do spiritual warfare on their behalf.  You can ask God to release them from the chains that keep them from freely choosing. In the Name of Jesus, you can claim the freedom he bought for them.

Walking Together

Praying for these three things is appropriate because it does not infringe on our loved one’s freedom to choose.  It’s also effective.

Dennis and I have been walking together, both in marriage and spiritually, for the last thirty years.  God answered my prayers.

He revealed his love; he removed the spiritual blindfold; he broke the chains of unbelief that kept Dennis from choosing him.

You cannot force salvation on the unbelievers you know and love, but you can pray love, light and freedom into their lives.  Those prayers will enable them to choose, of their own free will, to come into the Kingdom of God.

Top 7 Bible Verses To Share With Unbelievers

Prayer For Unbelievers Husband

JOYFUL!! EXCITING!! PURPOSE-FILLED!! These three words are just the beginning when we attempt to describe the wonderful life we can have as Christians. Following God is an amazing adventure full of life, fun, and love.

So why wouldn’t we want to share that joy with others? I believe that as Christians, we can offer hope, meaning, and courage to a world that often screams of fear and powerlessness.

Here are my top 7 Bible verses to share with unbelievers to encourage them in their life’s journey.

I really this whole chapter in Ecclesiastes, because it addresses some big problems for unbelievers.

Many will ask why does humanity have to deal with death, wars, or other challenges if there is a God? This verse addresses these issues by explaining that there is a time and a season for all things.

God is not to blame for the consequences of man’s actions. Hardships and trials will come, but God has it all under control. Once we choose to follow him, then our lives will be overrun with blessings.

Bullies, television shows, and the news often put individuals down, and they try to make others feel powerless, stupid and insignificant.

But what the Lord wants us to know from this verse is that as Christians we can accomplish great things in our lives. What the world says is impossible, Jesus says is possible for those who believe.

Faith in God provides us with a “can do” attitude that benefits us in so many ways.

I love this verse, because it clearly states how much God loves us. He cares for us so much that he gave his one and only son for our salvation. Love gives, and God is love.

God created the world around us, and he made everything good for us (Genesis 1). That is how much he loves us.

It is all for our pleasure– parents creating a beautiful room to welcome their newborn child into their home, God also created a whole world to welcome in humanity. This gives us security in our lives.

As I mentioned earlier, the media and even family and friends, can tear us down and discourage us in our daily journey through life. Discouragement, sadness, and hopelessness permeate our society, and depression runs rampant as well.

Jesus himself, though, reminds us in this verse that he came to give us abundant life. I believe that means that our walk with him can be fun, exciting and a daily adventure.

The Lord gives us vision and purpose and power in our quest through life, and there is never a dull moment in the Kingdom of God.

As Christians, we can do more than just survive life here on earth. I believe that this verse points out that we can thrive.

God’s love and support makes us more than conquerors in everything that we do and say. Once we overcome our fears and anxieties, we can see the possibilities are endless.

We can go forward in our quest through life with enthusiasm, meaning and a greater purpose than ourselves.

Our lives can be full of challenges and trials and even prisons of our own choosing. However, this verse includes an important truth for both believers and unbelievers combined.

Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, so that we can be set free from any yoke of slavery. Addictions, depression and other “stinking thinking” can be gone when we fully embrace the Christian walk.

The apostle Paul goes on in this same chapter to encourage us to not only enjoy our freedom ourselves but to use it to serve one another in love (Galatians 5:13).

One of the most wonderful things that we could ever hear as human beings is that we are loved. The love of our parents, our spouses, or our children can encourage us tremendously, but fully knowing that we are loved by the creator God, can change our lives beyond measure. this verse says, “God is love.

” This is very refreshing to hear in a world where it seems that everyone is looking to find fault in everyone else. Laws and punishment are the norm, but it is imperative that an unbeliever understand that our God is not that. He loves us so much, and he offers us peace, hope and forgiveness.

He is not out to get us, but rather he gives us free will to choose our own path. Unfortunately, there are consequences to our bad choices and actions, but God’s heart is for us. His perfect love for us casts out fear (I John 4:18).

In other words, I want unbelievers to know that God’s unconditional love encompasses all of our lives.

CONCLUSION

The Bible is full of great verses to share with an unbeliever. There are verses that will appeal to a person’s intellect and logic, and there are other verses that will touch an unbeliever’s emotions and heart.

These are my top seven verses, because I believe that God wants us to share about the many wonderful aspects that are a part of following him each day as a Christian.

With God, life is a wonderful adventure, and I want to share that good news enthusiastically with all of my family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers.

7 Effective Prayers For Nonbelievers

Prayer For Unbelievers Husband

John 3:16 states “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” While we know this to be true and hold it dear to our hearts, there are people in this world who are unaware of God, His Love, His Son Jesus, and His gift of eternal salvation.

Nonbelievers may include some of your friends, family members, or coworkers. When we realize that someone hasn’t turned their life over to God, we may be sad, scared for them, and confused about how to respond.

One great way to help those who do not believe is by praying for them. We can do so by effectively asking God for His guidance. By lifting them up in prayer, we can ask God to help them begin a faith journey or ask for advice on how to minister to them. The Lord will listen to your cries and work through you.

Here are a few prayers to help you get started when praying for a unbeliever.

Prayer They Will Know God

My Heavenly Father, in John 17:3, Jesus says, “Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

” Jesus was praying that people come to know You, our only means to eternal salvation. Today I choose to pray as Jesus did and ask that You help those who have yet to give their lives to Christ.

May Your love and power reveal themselves to the nonbelievers, so that they will someday know You! Amen.

Prayer That God Will Turn Their Stubborn Heart

Lord Almighty, as I pray today for those that do not know Jesus I ask that You can break whatever it is that has control over their heart that takes them away from knowing You. Psalm 119:67 says, “Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word.

” It is true that many have to fall to their lowest points in life before they turn their life over to You. It often takes painful circumstances to drive us to Christ. Addiction, lust, materialism, and other deadly sins are false gods that are stealing the hearts of those who need You the most.

I pray for those who are unsaved that You will be able to rip the bondage of what is holding them back. May they seek You! Amen.

Prayer That God Will Put His Spirit Within Them

Holy Spirit, I know the great joy of salvation is being indwelled by God himself. I pray that God would grant this honor to those unbelievers, that He would choose to take up residence within them.

May He fill the hearts of those who have yet to see Him! As Ezekiel 36:27 states, “And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.

” I am blessed to have the Spirit within me, and I pray for that blessing for unbelievers so that they can know true happiness. Amen.

Prayer For God to Remove Satan’s Influence

Lord, it is scary to know that unbelievers have been blinded by Satan. In 2 Corinthians 4:4 it says, “In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

” How will they ever know You if they are blind? I pray that they are able to see and appreciate the gospel by You working within them. I pray God that You give them opportunities to see the light and glory of Jesus Christ.

Bless them with the spiritual sight needed to break the influence that Satan has taken over them. Amen.

Prayer For Opportunities to Minister to Them

Lord, I know it is my duty to spread the Word of God and show others the glory that can be found within You. Many people come to faith after seeing Christ’s loved displayed through the ministry of Christians. So today, I pray for opportunities to minister to unbelievers. Help me to spread Your ministry effectively to those who do not know you.

I pray that You work through other Christians, so that they have the ability to minister to nonbelievers too. Lead us all to opportunities to encounter those who do not know Jesus. Let us all be an example of Christian living.

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).

Prayer For God to Extend His Mercy on Them

God, I know that it is Your deepest wish to have all people have faith in You. It must break your heart in seeing someone choose false gods. I pray that You continue to be patient and merciful on those who have not yet found You.

As it is said in 2 Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to parish but everyone to come to repentance.

” How blessed are we to have a God that will wait for us to turn our hearts to Him! We are blessed by a merciful and loving God that receives no joy in watching someone perish without knowing His love. Amen.
