Prayer For Spirit Empowered Discernment

Releasing Holy Spirit Empowered Prayer

Prayer For Spirit Empowered Discernment

“I have heard you,” replied Jeremiah the prophet. “I will certainly pray to the Lord your God as you have requested; I will tell you everything the Lord says and will keep nothing back from you.” (Jer. 42:4 NIV)

It Is Letting the Holy Spirit Take Lead

All who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God. (Romans 8:14, NASB) As in a waltz or dance, you let the other take the lead and gently nudge you in the direction you are to go. We learn to yield to the “now promptings” on the Holy Spirit.

It Is Letting the Holy Spirit Empower You

In Spirit-empowered prayer, the Holy Spirit will light upon you and give you power as it was on the day of Pentecost (see Acts 2). It’s getting a booster to your rocket. Your prayers will hit the target.

It Is the Place Where Prophet and Priest Are Brought Together

The Priest: pleads the needs of the people to the Lord. The Prophet: pleads the interests of God before the people. Therefore, in true authentic prophetic intercession, the ministries of the priest and prophet unite in their graces and burdens.

Prophetic Intercession Pleads the Promises

As you arise in worship and are seated with Christ Jesus in the heavenly places, you are not just praying to God but rather having come into agreement with His heart, you are now praying with God.

In revelatory prayer, you pave the way for the fulfillment of the prophetic promise that has been revealed previously.

In prophetic intercession, the Spirit of God pleads, through the believer, the covenant promises of God that have been made to His people throughout history.

Every unfulfilled promise is to be pleaded by the Spirit-empowered believer before the throne to see it come to pass.

Calling Forth the “Anna Company” (See Luke 2:36-38)

Anna’s primary prophetic ministry was her life of prayer, which helped prepare the way for the coming of the Messiah. As it was in the first coming of Jesus, so it will be before the second coming-gifted, consecrated, prophetic intercessors will lay hold of the purposes of God.

Prophetic Intercession Is to Conspire Together

The word conspire means “to breathe together.” When God created man from the dust of the earth, He breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living being (see Gen. 2:7).

This Hebrew word that we translate “breathed” can mean to breathe violently, such as when the violent, rushing wind filled the upper room on the day of Pentecost.

Prophetic intercession is our conspiring with God, breathing violently into situations through prayer in order to bring forth life.

Praying in the Spirit through the Gift of Tongues

Praying with the gift of tongues is one of the foremost form of Spirit-inspired prayer. Praying in the Spirit is your spirit communicating directly with God. It’s called a “prayer language. “For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit.” (1 Corinthians 14:2, NIV)

“The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.” (Romans 8:26-28, NIV)

“For if I pray in an [unknown] tongue, my spirit [by the Holy Spirit within me] prays, but my mind is unproductive [it bears no fruit and helps nobody].” (1 Corinthians 14:14, AMP)

Praying in the Spirit is an amazing form of prayer! Since you do not always know how or what to pray in a given situation, you can bring the need before the Lord and yield to the Holy Spirit. Praying in the Spirit is the means by which the Spirit intercedes through your spirit.

It Is a Form of Intense, Fervent Praying

“Elijah was a man with a nature ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. Then he prayed again, and the sky poured rain and the earth produced its fruit.” (James 5:17-18, NASB)

Fervency is to pray with purpose and focused intentionality. The word “fervent” comes from the Latin word for “to boil hot.” To pray earnestly means that one’s entire being is engaged in prayer. It is a God worked in prayer request!

Jesus Is Our Example in Fervent Praying

“In the days of His flesh [Jesus] offered up definite, special petitions…and supplications with strong crying and tears.” (Hebrews 5:7a, AMP)

“Strong crying and tears,” especially the Greek term for it, gives the idea that He cried out loudly in prayer, even shouting and screaming. It was the sound of the battlefield, a struggle of life and death. In no way was it timid or restrained.

“The Lord will go forth a mighty man, He will rouse up His zealous indignation and vengeance a warrior; He will cry, yes, He will shout aloud, He will do mightily against His enemies. [Thus says the Lord] I have for a long time held My peace, I have been still and restrained Myself. Now I will cry out a woman in travail, I will gasp and pant together.” (Isaiah 42:13-14, AMP)

The Invitation to Spirit-Empowered Prayer

Spirit-Empowered Prayer might take time. You have to be tenacious. Never give up. You might go through stretches when you are not crying out. In fact, nothing seems to be happening.

It’s being a watchman on a wall when nothing is happening. But you stay there. You don’t abandon your post. You keep alert at all times and must learn to persevere.

You need to be ready when the Holy Spirit is ready.

When you undertake Spirit-Empowered Prayer, you operate with a watchman’s anointing. You watch to see things in the Spirit.

What is the enemy up to? What does God want to do about it? You take the keys of the kingdom in your hand and you bind up the darkness. You welcome the Spirit of the Lord’s presence. You are vigilant and determined.

You worship the Lord, communicate with your fellow watchers and walk in agreement together. Then prayer what is on God’s heart.

Will you join me in the journey of Spirit-Led and Spirit-Empowered Prayer? Then together we can release Spirit-Empowered Prayer that Strikes the Mark.

Powerful Prayers for Discernment – Ability to Judge Well

Prayer For Spirit Empowered Discernment

On this page you'll find prayer for discernment.

Hearing the word “Discernment”, the first thing that comes to mind is being a good judge of what is right and what is wrong. But for Christians, it’s not as simple as that. Nowadays, the lines between what is right and wrong have long since been blurred.

This is why we need to call in extra help. And there's really nobody else than God, who's always kept up with everything you. In Matthew 7:7, He says “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you”. That bible verse, despite its popularity, is most often than not, ignored. Do not make the same mistake.

Any decision that you have, whether it's for your relationship, education, or even general decisions, you should seek the answers to it.

From experience, God provides the most ingenious and simplest of solutions to any problem, big or small. So seeking guidance to these issues is a simple principle that we must all learn to make a habit of.

To that, we've written prayers that touch each and every one of us (Christian or otherwise).

“Do not ever forget to ask things from God. Difference between us and Him is that He has been around long before the problem and He will be available after. Move with the winning team always”.

Prayer for Discernment in Relationship

Lord, only You fully understands the concept of love. You've practically shown us just that for eternities. So I come before You today and I ask that You give me the insight to deepen/mend my relationship with SO (significant other’s name).

Give me the strength to handle his/her behavior no matter how infuriating they get. And also the patience to make sound decisions in this relationship. I thank You for providing a shoulder to always lean on, now and forever more. In Jesus Name I pray.

Prayer for Discernment of Marriage

Oh God above, I stand before You to ask for wisdom about my marriage. I'll be moving into an unknown territory and naturally, I have doubts and thus, questions.

Is he/she the right choice and most importantly, do I have Your consent over my choice? Father, I place everything in Your hands to decide because You own my life and know what's best.

Thank You oh Lord, and In Jesus Name I pray.

Prayers for Discernment and Decision Making

In Exodus 3:14, Your words, “I Am That I Am” calls out to me. You are the past, present, and future; and so, You have already seen the outcome of all of the decisions that I can make now. God, I just ask that You help me make the best one. I thank You for listening oh Lord.

Prayer for Guidance and Discernment

Father, today is a new day and thus, a very different experience from last time. So I ask that you guide and help me be a better judge of all situations, tasks, and decisions that I'll meet today. Lord, always pick the best for me, regardless if I'm working or playing with my loved ones. Thank You for answering my prayer—and In Jesus Name I pray.

Pray this prayer every day

Prayer for Help with Problems

Lord God, I come before You now to request your divine intervention in my life. This is a battle that I cannot fight alone, seeing as my previous attempts led me here. So I'm here today to ask that You teach me how to solve these problems.

Only You know the safest answers to all of them and I pray that You walk me through each. Thank You for always being with me God, Amen.

Prayer for Divine Wisdom

Father above, I'm here to ask some things from You. I ask for patience to wait for Your insights into problems and situations that'll arise around me. Lord, never allow me to commit to impatience and face the consequences of not applying deep wisdom. I thank You my God, and In Jesus Name I pray.

‘The Fear of the Lord is the Beginning of Wisdom’ – Proverbs 9:10

Prayers to God for Strength

Grant me Lord, the strength to successfully go through the solutions that I find. Any issue, task, or milestone I want to handle, Father give me more than enough power to see any one of them through. Teach me not to give up and instead persevere oh Lord. Amen.

Biblical Discernment

Prayer For Spirit Empowered Discernment

Biblical Discernment is important for discernment of spirits especially in a deliverance ministry especially in these “Last Days”

Here are some of the keys to discernment that God has shown the body of Christ through His Word

  1. Godly Discernment.  Know your HOLY GOD intimately. (When you have seen His glory, His holiness and His love – by drawing close to Him in prayer – then you can usually see through any “counterfeits” because you know the ‘real thing’ so well).
  2. The Word of God Biblical Discernment – Know your Bible. It is very important to be able to spot teachings that are either extra-biblical or directly opposed to what the Scriptures teach. However, it is important to remember that the Scribes and Pharisees were extremely learned in the Scriptures and yet they missed the very Messiah that was prophesied! So knowing the Bible is important – especially for doctrinal issues – but we need to be able to “discern the spirits” also.
  3. Truth Discernment.  Be a “lover of truth”. This is very crucial. Are you someone who will actually stand up for TRUTH – even against the crowd? Or do you remain silent even when you feel something is very wrong?
  4. Purity of heart and Humility. Many deceptions only appeal to us because there is something inside us that “wants” to believe them. They are seductive because of darkness and wrong motives in our own lives. We must search our hearts and root these out.
  5. Spiritual Discernment – The ‘inner witness’ of the Holy Spirit. We must learn to NEVER over-ride this “still small voice”, as it will save us from deception again and again.  Ask God for Biblical Discernment.

Many Christians get deceived especially since we are told in Church “Touch not the Lord’s anointed”, which makes Christians more gullible.  The Bible says to test the spirits and warns very strongly that the Last Days there will be a time of seducing spirits.  Many Christians throw out the God given Biblical Discernment.

Christians have an advantage over the world since we are full of the spirit of the Lord called “inner witness” of the Holy Spirit and the “still small voice” of the Lord speaking to us.  We should not ignore those checks or that inner witness.

Many Christian override that inner bell or “inner witness” or “still small voice” telling them that something is wrong.  We need to discern according to scripture.  Hebrews 5:12-14

“For when by reason of the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need againthat some one teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the oracles ofGod; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of solid food.

For everyone that partaketh of milk is without experience of the word of righteousness;for he is a babe.

But solid food is for fullgrown men, even those who by reason

of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil”

(Heb.5:12-14).After a reasonable period of time has passed, we should have grown to be able topartake of the meat of God’s word. He went on to say such individuals should be

able to “discern good and evil,” seeing they have had their senses

exercised by the continual use of God’s word. If we will continually use God’s

word, we will develop the ability to discern between good and evil.

When trying to decide if something is right or wrong, first ask yourself these questions: Does it destroy my identity as a Christian by causing me to be regarded as of the world? Does it classify me with Satan’s realm of sin instead of Christ and the church? God has always required His people to maintain a separation from Satan’s realm.

The Bible is very clear that the Last Days are a time of such widespread deception that it would “deceive if possible the very elect”. It also shows that much of this deception will arise from WITHIN the church – luring  believers with “itching ears”. Do we see evidence of this kind of thing  taking place today?

Another area is spiritual power and manifestations.  People see spiritual power operating and assume that it “must be God”. But
this is a very dangerous assumption to make in these days.  Not all manifestations of the spirit comes from God.  Even the devil can heal the sick.

Many Christians will go down to the front to have something imparted to them fire, which can be very angerous.  The impartation business has very flimsy backing in scripture.  Who knows what these preachers are imparting today!  We saw an example from the Todd Bentley so called revival.  Many came back tormented with sexual demons through impartation of strange fire.

Today is a time “Last Days” the scriptures talks about strong deceptions or “powerful delusions”.  Lets be wise and be aware what is happening around us.  The enemy has targeted you to take you down in the last days.  Don’t be a has hap in these last days.  We have been given discernment to discern the times and discern what is going on around us especially in meetings.

Conclusion:

Do not ignore the alarm bells and jump right into something that is not of God.  Because your preacher says it is ok, does not make it right.  Also don’t fall into the “peer pressure” as well.  These ingredients can be lasting consequences you don’t want.
