“You shall walk in all the way which the LORD your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you will possess.” – Deuteronomy 5:33

Prosperity prayer for money

Father above, I pray to You in total subservience today about my life. Lord, I need Your divine help in granting me financial independence.

I pray that you remove me from the clutches of incapability and that—You provide me with all the earnings that I'll use to take care of both myself, my loved ones, and all of Your Beloved for the rest of my life. Father, I need You to fix my life so that I'll not be caught wanting.

Instead, I'll fulfill my roles in all needed areas of my life. I thank You God for the opportunity to have this prayer and for the forthcoming blessings, I exalt Your name and In Jesus Name, Amen.

Prayer for prosperity and protection

Oh Lord in Heaven, I come before You today for the sake of prosperity and protection. You're the protector of Daniel and the benefactor of the Israelites. Father, bless me so that I may prosper in all the things I do in my life.

I shall prosper financially, spiritually, and health-wise by Your will. Oh God, I pray You also protect me so that I will live a long and fruitful life In Jesus Name. All the blessings You shower upon me, no manner of enemy will collect it because I have Your divine protection.

I thank You for Your presence today, and In Jesus Name I've Prayed.

Prayers for prosperity and financial release

Father, I'm here before You today because I want You to perform a miracle in my life. At this point, I cannot do it alone and even if I could, it cannot be compared to Your deeds. I walk in Your sight and I can personally testify to the other miracles in my life.

God, I pray for financial release in the form of employment/my business. I pray that You lift my head so that I may stand proud as one of Your children. I want You to make me a living testimony and shame the enemies who doubted Your great works in my life.

I thank You Oh God My Father, and In Jesus Name, Amen.

Prayer for blessings and favor

Heavenly Father, Your name leaves my lips daily in reverence of Your strength and unconditional love. Your undivided attention has been on me since I was in my mother's womb and because You favoured me so, I was delivered into this world safe and sound. Lord, I ask that as You have been caring for me, You continue to do so.

I want You to take the wheel of my life because nothing but Your blessings, favour, and love can suffice again. Lord, I ask for the double of Elisha's blessing and I want to be Your favourite amongst millions. Be with me Oh Lord and let Your gaze waver not from me/my household.

I glorify You El-Shaddai and In Jesus Name I've prayed, Amen.

Prosperity prayer in the bible

“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

God has great plans for you! So, no matter what you're going through right now, keep in mind that the Great Shepard never abandons any of His sheep.

“In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning, I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.” – Psalm 5:3

Kneel before the Lord, pray to Him because He is your Father. Also, you shouldn't be afraid to go past these powerful prayers above. So, have a deep talk with Him and wait for His sign. Surely, He will answer You because His Love is unconditional.

“But he said to me, my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9-11

When God is on your side, you're never ever weak. In fact, all of your so-called weaknesses are always turned into positives when you walk and work with God.

Bible Verses About Prosperity

“Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” – Psalm 37:4

Financial Hardship and Debt Help via Faith

Prayer For Help In Times Of Financial Hardship

Facing a severe financial hardship (whether that’s losing a job, filing bankruptcy, getting a repossession notice, having a ZERO balance in your checking’s account and etc) is tough – especially when it can potentially impact and change your life (and possibly others).  But know that you’re not alone.  God is with you and desires to help during a time of hardship and financial difficulties.

**For your convenience and because of the length of this post, I’ve broken it into sections:

Consult the Lord, Speak over your situation by faith, Support faith with action, Believing and Speaking God’s word + Faith + Action = Supernatural Results, Conclusion, Things to Remember

I’m experiencing financial hardship and difficulties; what should I do?

Consult the Lord

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God (Philippians 4:6).

During a financial hardship crisis, one of the first things we have a habit of doing is operating under fear, worry, anxiety, depression and frustration.

Although this seems a logical response, the Bible instructs us to give our worries, cares and financial burdens to the Lord.

1 Peter 5:7 says, “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”   God cares about you – yes you!

God even cares about your prosperity.  Psalms 35:27 states the Lord takes pleasure in the prosperity of His people.  God wants to prosper you.

He even says in his word that “those who seek [Him] will lack no good thing (Psalms 34:10) and He shall supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

God not only wants all your worries, but He also wants to care for you, prosper you, hold no good thing from you and supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.

Consult the Lord first and tell Him your financial hardship.  God wants to be involved in everything – even your finances.  If God wants to be involved, let Him.

Consult the Lord about your debts, bills and other financial obligations;  how can God help you if you never turn to Him?  Remember God owns every financial resource on this earth.

Pray and ask for clear instruction regarding your finances; and He will guide you.

Speak over Financial Hardship by Faith

Instead of speaking negatively and mediating on the negative effects of a recession, I encourage you to speak by faith (over your finances).  What is it you want God to do for you?  Speak out by faith what you’re believing God to do on your behalf (with the support of scripture).

There’s power in our words and there’s power in speaking the Word of God .  The bible states, “death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof” (Proverbs 18:21).

Speak financial blessings, prosperity and wealth – even when your circumstances look the complete opposite of what you’re speaking and believing God for.  In addition to speaking, have faith and believe in God’s ability to do what you’re asking of Him.

Without the two, expect no results.

Here are a few examples of one speaking faith during financial hardship:

Hardship Scenario #1: Home Foreclosure: Response: “Father, I thank you Lord that you shall supply all my needs according to your riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).  I thank you Lord that you will work things out in my favor.

I may not understand all that’s happening in my life, but Lord I trust you.  I thank you Lord for the bigger and better house you have for me with my name on it.  I thank you Lord that this is only temporary and that you’re working things out for my good.

Hardship Scenario #2: Lack of funds to pay bill(s): Response: Father, I thank you that this bill will be paid off in Jesus name.  I thank you that I have more than enough money to not only pay this bill, but all my other bills as well.

I thank you Lord that those who seek the Lord will lack no good thing (Psalms 34:9-10).  I thank you that I lack no good thing – having more than enough to take care of all my needs and bless someone else too.  Thank you Lord that the wealth of the wicked is laid up for the righteous (Proverbs 13: 22).

I praise you in advance for financial increase and favor.

Hardship Scenario #3: Laid off from work: “Heavenly father, I thank you for blessing me with a better job that’s paying double the salary I had before. I thank you Lord that it is “[you] that gives [me] the ability to produce wealth” (Deuteronomy 8:18). I thank you Lord for favor, promotions and financial increase in Jesus name.”

By doing this, what are you doing?

  1. You’re acknowledging that God’s word supersedes everything – the recession, your bills, collections/repossession notices, bank statements, unpaid bills and etc.
  2. You’re making a decision to believe God over your circumstances.
  3. Putting into the atmosphere the word of God and His decrees.
  4. Speaking out by faith what is not as though it was.  Calling things to be as though they were.  Why? Because “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). Simply stated: your faith and ability to trust and believe in God will cause supernatural things to happen.

Support Faith with Action

When we speak the word of God over our situation does this mean to do nothing? No; The Bible says that faith without works is dead (James 2:20).  Meaning that you need to put action into what you’re believing God for.  A biblical example of faith in action would be the story of Abraham and Isaac:

“Don’t you remember that our ancestor Abraham was shown to be right with God by his actions when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see, his faith and his actions worked together. His actions made his faith complete.

23 And so it happened just as the Scriptures say: “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.”He was even called the friend of God. 24 So you see, we are shown to be right with God by what we do, not by faith alone” James 2:21-24.

As we see with the story of Abraham and Isaac, it’s not enough to just speak the word of God with no action behind your faith (anybody can do that).  You have to speak, believe, have faith and support your faith with action.

Because faith and action works together you must not only speak over your situation but do something as well.  Let’s look at two practical examples of faith in action:

1. Laid off and now your believing God for a high paying career:

Action(s) you may consider taking is: actively seeking  employment, going to school, improving and strengthening job skills, enrolling in job training seminars and etc.

2. In debt and believing God to make you debt free:

Action(s) you may consider taking it: money management budgeting (shopping on a budget), not spending more than you earn, using credit cards for emergencies only and etc.   What are you doing?  You’re showing God that you can be a good steward over your finances.  Why should God deliver you from debt if you’ll only continue to use your money unwisely?

Believing and Speaking God’s word + Faith + Action = Supernatural Results

In my own life, I have witness God move favorably on my behalf where finances are concerned.  God supplied the funds needed for me to go to college when I didn’t have the money and wasn’t eligible for financial aid.

During times of hardship when I didn’t have money to pay a bill I’ve witness God do the supernatural.  I’ve witness God make strange things happen that resulted in companies having to credit my bill instead of me paying them.

When you tithe, believe, speak over financial hardship ( bills, debt, lack of funds and etc) have faith and support your faith with action, God has shown me that He’ll take care of His people.

Does this mean I’ll never have financial concerns ever again? No;  but because God has shown me His helping hand I turn to Him whenever I’m concerned, nervous and experiencing financial hardship.

Conclusion

I want to encourage you today.  You may be experiencing financial difficulties but hold on and keep the faith.  Continue to speak over your finances using scripture.  Speak over your bills.  Speak over your debt.  Speak over your retirement funds.  Speak over your house.

Speak by faith over any and every hardship in the name of Jesus.  Jesus said that if you ask anything in His name He will do it (John 14: 14); ask and you will receive (John 16:24).  Just as a parent desires their child to ask them for help – the same is for our Heavenly father.

(Note:  God is not a genie.)

While decreeing and declaring, ask the Lord to move favorably on your behalf.

There will be times when you will feel weird and awkward decreeing and declaring God’s promises over debt and finances because you don’t see (with your earthy eyes) whats happening in the spiritual realm, but remember that we walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).  I encourage you to read radical faith – believing God for the impossible.

Be encouraged!  Don’t be weary, nervous, depressed or fearful (as God hasn’t given you the spirit of fear but power, love and a sound mind – 2 Timothy 1:7).  Know that even during an economic hardship God will sustain you. God did not make you (nor bring you this far) just to leave you.  For He cares for you, carries you in his hands and will save you.

Finial Words of Encouragement regarding Financial Hardship

Be encouraged and blessed. Remember to give your worries and hardships to the Lord because there’s nothing too hard for God- financial hardship, debt, foreclosures, money, NOTHING!

Pray even when it feels God isn’t listening (because He is).  Know that before the foundations of the world, God already made provisions for you.  Your now doesn’t dictate your tomorrow.

Speak over finances and make a decision to believe God; not your job, money, or situation.  May God bless you, give you strength, favor and financial increase in Jesus name; Amen.

Important Things to Remember

  1. Consult the Lord regarding your financial hardship and debt.
  2. Speak by faith over your finances, bills, 401k, retirement funds and etc.
  3. Faith and action works together.  Speak, believe, have faith and support your faith with action.

  4. Know that you’re not alone – God is with you and wants you to help.  Bring your request and petitions to Him.
  5. In times of disaster (recession, financial hardship, etc) you will not wither; in days of famine (lack) you will enjoy plenty (Psalms 37:19).

A Muslim Believer’s Attitude During Times of Difficulties and Calamities

Prayer For Help In Times Of Financial Hardship

As part of our Islamic faith, we believe that all matters are in the hands of Allah. However,
for some of us our faith can get shaken during times of trials and hardships.

It is during those times though that we should remind ourselves that a believer’s position and rank is raised in front of Allah and that such a hardship may very well be a sign of Allah’s love for the believer.

This can help us in maintaining and even strengthening our faith.

Great Rewards Associated with Great Calamities

Al-Mumit (The Destroyer, The Bringer of Death) – Allah’s Name

It was narrated from Anas ibn Malik that the Prophet (S) said:

“Great reward comes with great trials. When Allah loves a people, He tests them, and whoever accepts it attains His pleasure, whereas whoever shows discontent with it incurs His wrath.” Narrated and classed as hasan by at-Tirmidhi (2396); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in as-Silsilah as-Saheehah, no. 146

In this hadith, we find that the prophet (s) has provided a message of relief for those who endure difficulties with patience. He also associated greatness of difficulties and calamities with higher rewards.

So, enduring through lighter problems and challenges has a smaller reward than enduring greater difficulties and challenges.

Given that this life has its share of challenges and difficulties for all, Allah has provided an opportunity of high rewards for those who endure these challenges with patience rather than with complaints and ingratitude.

And for those who show displeasure and discontent with Allah’s decree end up in a lose-lose situation because not only they have to live through their current suffering but also incur Allah’s wrath for their displeasure and discontent with His decree.

We should also realize that our patience when facing difficulties raises our status in front of Allah, and may lead to the forgiveness of our sins. He says in the Quran:

“…Only those who are patient shall receive their reward in full, without reckoning” Quran (Surah Az-Zumar:10)”

The Prophet (S) said:

“Nothing befalls a believer, a (prick of a) thorn or more than that, but Allah will raise him one degree in status thereby, or erase a bad deed.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (5641) and Muslim (2573).

Al-Muntaqim (The Avenger) – Allah’s Name

The Messenger (S) said in a well known hadith the following:

“How wonderful is the affair of the believer, for his affairs are all good, and this applies to no one but the believer. If something good happens to him, he is thankful for it and that is good for him. If something bad happens to him, he bears it with patience and that is good for him.” (Narrated by Muslim, 2999).

We should also realize that when Allah puts His steadfast believers through trials and tribulations, that is a sign of His love for them. It was narrated that Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said:

“If Allah wills good for His slave, He hastens his punishment in this world, and if He wills bad for His slave, He withholds from him (the punishment for) his sin, until He requites him for it on the Day of Resurrection.” Narrated and classed as hasan by at-Tirmidhi (2396); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh at-Tirmidhi.

Al-Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “Do not resent the calamities that come and the disasters that occur, for perhaps in something that you dis will be your salvation, and perhaps in something that you prefer will be your doom.”

Al-Fadl ibn Sahl said: “There is a blessing in calamity that the wise man should not ignore, for it erases sins, gives one the opportunity to attain the reward for patience, dispels negligence, reminds one of blessings at the time of health, calls one to repent and encourages one to give charity.”

Al-Muqaddim (The Expediter, He Who Brings Forward) – Allah’s Name

Calamities and Problems – Trials or Punishment?

We also know that some who face difficulties are punished for their sins. So, one may wonder how to distinguish whether a person is being simply tested by Allah or being punished for one’s sins.

In this context, scholars have said that “(as Allah knows a person beforehand), the sign of calamity by way of punishment shows as signs of impatience and ingratitude in a person when a calamity befalls, and the sign of calamity by way of expiation and erasing of sins shows as contentment, acceptance, and patience in accepting the will of Allah until relief comes.”

Furthermore, if the one who is affected shows displeasure and panic, then it cannot be thought that his calamity is an honor from Allah to raise him in status, because Allah, may He be glorified, knew that he would not be patient and accept it with contentment. So in this case it is most ly that it is a requital and punishment.

Also, if the Muslim is a devoted worshipper, obedient and righteous, and there is nothing between him and Allah but true ‘uboodiyyah (servitude), gratitude, praise, repentance and submission to Him, may He be glorified, then it is most ly that this calamity is a kind of honor and raising in status, and people are the witnesses of Allah on earth. If they know him to be righteous, then they may give him the glad tidings of raised status before Allah if he is patient in bearing the calamity. (source: islamqa.info)

Regarding difficulties, in the following verse Allah compares the situation of the one who is steadfast in his faith and facing difficulties with those who are evil doers and are in a similar situation:

“… if you are suffering (hardships) then surely, they (too) are suffering (hardships) as you are suffering, but you have a hope from Allah (for the reward) that for which they hope not; and Allah is Ever All-Knowing, All-Wise” Quran (Surah An-Nisa:104).

Iraq Islam and Muslim history

So, a true believer can face his difficulties with a positive state of mind hoping for rewards from Allah and such an attitude can provide true relief and happiness. Besides, if Allah lifts this calamity from the believer and saves him from the torment, then that can double the reward and happiness. Allah says in the Quran:

    • “… and give glad tidings to As-Sabirun (the patient).”
    • Who, when afflicted with calamity, say: “Truly! To Allah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return.”
    • They are those on whom are the Salawat (i.e. who are blessed and will be forgiven) from their Lord, and (they are those who) receive His Mercy, and it is they who are the guided ones. Quran (Surah Al-Baqara:155-157)

35 Simple Hardship Letters (Financial, for Mortgage, for Immigration)

Prayer For Help In Times Of Financial Hardship

A document that explains your circumstances in a certain situation, a hardship letter usually shows that you’re unable to pay debt.

To request for special consideration, a person struggling with his or her finances uses a hardship letter known as a financial hardship letter.

Commonly used by people who can’t make their credit card or mortgage payments, hardship letters are a way to seek leniency from lenders. A hardship letter is important for preventing the foreclosure of your assets.

Usually, the objective of a hardship letter sent to a lender is obtaining payment deadlines leniency or outstanding debts consolidation. In addition to preventing the foreclosure of property, hardship letters help with medical bills and credit card debts.

Also, students who are unable to afford higher education can use a letter of financial hardship to increase their chances of obtaining reduced tuition, scholarship, or grant.

There are many different types of hardship letters but in this article, we’re going to discuss the two most commonly used hardship letter: financial hardship letter and hardship letter for immigration.

Financial Hardship Letter

A commonly used hardship letter, a financial hardship letter informs the lender why you’re in financial distress and your ability to sort it out.

People use hardship letters for many different reasons but the most common reasons to use this type of hardship letter is requesting a short sale or loan modification to avoid foreclosure.

In fact, even if a foreclosure attorney is representing you, you (the homeowner) are required to present a hardship letter in the loan modification process. To present the strongest case possible to your lender, the foreclosure attorney needs to submit a hardship letter along with the other important documents.

You should be ready to complete a financial hardship letter if you’re having problems paying off your mortgage and want to request your lender for leniency or loan modification to avoid foreclosure. Writing a hardship letter is mandatory if you want your lender to consider you for a short sale, loan modification, and temporary repayment plan.

When you’re writing a hardship letter for loan modification, it is important for you to keep in mind that lenders know the reason you’ve fallen behind with your mortgage payments. Therefore, when writing a financial hardship letter, you should be honest and provide the right amount of detail.

More importantly, you need to inform lenders how you’ll support your payments in the future if they decide to approve your request for loan modification.

In order to convince the lender to forego foreclosure and modify your loan instead, providing the aforementioned details is extremely important. To write an appropriate financial hardship letter, take help from a foreclosure attorney or use sample hardship letter.

Reasons a financial hardship letter is required

In order to help them determine whether your situation can be resolved with loan modification, a financial hardship letter provides lenders an understanding of the financial difficulties you currently face.

You’ll need to write a hardship letter even if you’ve spoken to a customer care representative of the lender and have explained to them your circumstances. The reason for this is simple: it is highly ly that the customer care representative you spoke to didn’t write down what you said or only wrote bits of what you narrated to him/her.

As a result of this, your lender doesn’t have any formal record of your financial problems. Fortunately, by writing down your problems in a hardship letter, you can provide your lender a formal record of your financial situation.

Once your lender has a hardship letter from you that clearly describes your financial situation, there will be no need for the lender to second guess about your problem which in turn will make it easy for the lender to decide whether to approve you for a workout plan.

It is important for you to keep in mind that not all financial setbacks make you eligible for loan modification or a workout plan. In your hardship letter, you need to prove that you face genuine hardships that have affected your ability to pay. Following are some of the hardship that lenders generally consider:

  • Separation or divorce
  • A business that has failed or is suffering from economic slowdown
  • Military duty
  • Imprisonment of one of the household’s wage earners
  • Reduction on income such as reduction in wage or loss of overtime
  • Excessive debt accumulated over time
  • Death in the family especially if the deceased happens to be the breadwinner of the house
  • Newborn child which increases the monthly household expense
  • Relocation or loss of job such as reduction in force (RIF) or layoff
  • One of the household’s wage earners seeking treatment for alcohol or drug dependency
  • Illness or injury that increases medical expenses or decreases income or does both
  • Payment shock such as an interest rate bump on an adjustable-rate mortgage

How to write a hardship letter

Many people want to know how to write a hardship letter and what to include in it.

What’s included in the hardship letter depends on a person’s financial situation and his or her ability to sort out any underlying financial problems in the future.

Nonetheless, by following certain rules, you can write a hardship letter to achieve the best possible results. Keep the following things in mind when writing a financial hardship letter.

Keep the letter concise

Typically, lenders spend less than five minutes reading a hardship letter so it’s in your interest to restrict the letter to a single page.

If you use more than a page, there’s a good chance that your letter will not be read thoroughly. To keep your letter to a single page, include those details that you think are relevant to your case.

To get a better idea of what to include in a hardship letter, refer to a sample hardship letter.

Explain your situation

In a financial hardship letter, you need to explain why you stopped making mortgage payments: This is extremely important.

More than anything else, you need to convince your lender that you’re not an irresponsible person when it comes to making mortgage payments.

You need to show the lender that your current grave financial situation is the only reason you’ve fallen behind on your loan payments. The reasons that cause loan payment problems which you can cite in your hardship letter are mentioned above.

Keep your request specific

In order to inform your lender about what you want, state the purpose of the letter whether it is a short sale or a loan modification.

For example, if you want a lower interest rate, you can write, “I need to revamp my mortgage and get a lower, fixed interest rate…” Make sure that you write the purpose of the letter in a way which compels the lender to find out more from you. Also, to explain your case in detail, you can use the subsequent paragraphs.

Restate your request

Conclude the letter by restating your request or summarizing your purpose. Make it clear to the lender that you’ll make regular payments once the loan is modified and reestablished.

You need to consider the aforementioned things when writing a financial hardship letter. Also, as the final decision about loan modification will be made by your lender, you should never insinuate that your situation is due to the lender. You should only state the facts and let your lender judge the situation by themselves.

Also, you must than your lender in advance and state that you look forward to continue your relationship with them. Finally, as mentioned above, keep your letter to a single page so that it is easy for your lender to go through it. If you’re still confused about how to write a hardship letter, refer to a sample hardship letter.

Questions that your financial hardship letter should answer

Apart from considering the aforementioned things, you need to know the questions that your financial hardship letter should answer before your write a hardship letter and submit it to your lender. By answering some important questions, you’ll strengthen your case. Following are some important questions that hardship letters need to answer:

  • What are the events or series of events causing the hardship that has prevented you from paying your monthly mortgage?
  • When did the hardship first occur? Provide the date or range of dates you started experiencing the hardship
  • Is your hardship temporary or permanent? A job layoff or injury/ illness is a temporary hardship while death or divorce are examples of permanent hardship
  • How badly do you want to keep your home? Your lender may make a decision to approve your request for loan modification how badly you want to keep your home
  • Is making mortgage payments affordable for you? If yes, how much can you afford to pay?
  • Are you behind on your mortgage payments? If yes, how many months are you behind and what’s the total amount due?

Hardship Letter for Immigration

An extremely important document, a hardship letter for immigration is usually written by citizens or permanent residents of the United States to help a friend or relative who has been sent the country and is unable to return. At times, people already living in the United States are asked to leave. Such a request is known as a deportation notice.

Fortunately, people are allowed to plead their case at a hearing and provide a letter that explains why they shouldn’t be deported. Although the things to cover in a hardship letter for immigration depend on the individual case, there are a few things that apply to all.

By providing the following details in a hardship letter for immigration, you can increase your chances of reentry into the United States or avoiding deportation.

Financial hardship

An important issue to highlight in the hardship letter for immigration is the financial hardship the family of the person facing deportation or wanting to reenter the United States will suffer if he or she is deported or isn’t allowed back into the country. Explain in detail who will suffer.

For example, a legal resident who’s writing the letter may have to move to the immigrant’s country where earning a living is not possible or the people speak an alien language.

Another issue to highlight is having to move to the immigrant’s country to keep the family together which may result in inferior education for the children.

Basically, the hardship letter for immigration needs to clearly state that it’s in the best interest of the legal resident and his or her children that the person facing deportation or wanting to reenter the United States isn’t deported or is allowed back into the country.

Serious medical condition

It need to be clearly stated in the hardship letter for immigration that forcing a person who’s facing deportation to leave or stopping a person who wants to reenter the United States from coming back into the country will have a devastating effect on the family if the immigrant or member of his or her family has a serious medical condition. The hardship letter needs to state that the immigrant or a family member won’t be able to get adequate medical care if the family is forced to leave the country.

Apart from aforementioned things, you can also cite employment in the United States as a reason to allow someone back into the country. There you have it: how to write a hardship letter. If you’re still confused about how to write a hardship letter, refer to a sample hardship letter.

7 Things To-Do In Times of Hardship

Prayer For Help In Times Of Financial Hardship

Whenever a person faces hardship, there are three scenarios.

In the first scenario, he/she gives up and walks away from challenges or complains and blames those around them.

In the second, they swap out prayer time, family time and general quality time for the “hustle” because they think more money or stuff will solve their problem.

However, in both cases, the person will fall into a depression, feel sad about their situation or feel powerless – this is because they disconnect from Allah and the meaning and wisdom behind hardships. They don’t understand “why this is happening to them” or “what they did to deserve this”.

Thankfully, there is a third way for a ProductiveMuslim to deal with hardship because their understanding of Barakah culture means that their outlook is different.

When a ProductiveMuslim faces hardship, he or she takes a step back from their difficult situation and thinks about it from a higher level.

For example, they remember that Barakah Culture is about how to achieve more with less, instead of more with more, until the point of exhaustion.

So, they step back from their life with all its worries, anxieties, problems, and think about it from an Akhira (Hereafter) perspective. Then, they ask themselves the question: what does this ALL mean when compared to the Hereafter? What does this ALL mean when compared to eternity in Jannah?

One of the main misunderstandings we all have in this life is that if we do good, we should get good in this life and hereafter.

But this is not entirely true.

This life is not the life we’ll get justice in. If this were the case, there would be no need for a Day of Judgement or Akhira.

There is always a duality in this life; there’s good and bad, justice and injustice, mercy and oppression, love and hate, truth and falsehood, etc.

Remember that your role in this life is to live your life according to how Allah  asked you to do, seeking His pleasure, avoiding His anger.

And Allah promises you in many places in the Quran, that if you do just that, He’ll give you a ‘good’ life. Allah says in the Quran:

“Whoever works righteousness, man or woman, and has Faith, verily, to him will We give a new Life, a life that is good and pure and We will bestow on such their reward according to the best of their actions.” (Surat Al-Nahl, Verse 97)

“He that is righteous and patient,- never will Allah suffer the reward to be lost, of those who do right.” (Surat Yousef, Verse 90)

During times of hardship, it’s essential to remember that there are effective ways to deal with any difficulty.

1. Salah

Make sure you stick to praying on time – 5 times a day. Never miss a Salah. Do your best to pray each Salah with sincerity as if it’s your last in this world. No amount of hustle will ever make up for it!

2. Read the Quran

This Quran is so beautiful that no matter what difficulties you face, you’ll find solace in it.

3. Make Dua (supplication)

Simply and directly speak to Allah from your heart through dua. Know that He hears you and will reassure you. Especially make the dua for removing anxiety.

Give Sadaqah (charity)

Give lots of charity, as much as you can. It helps push away hardship. If you can’t give money, even kind words or physical sadaqah will do (i.e. helping people physically or emotionally).

Set Goals and Have Vision

Don’t let Shaytaan play with you and keep replaying the video of your hardship in your mind again and again. Move on! Set new goals, new projects. Remember you’re with Allah , so nothing should stop you!

Wake up Early

Wake up before fajr and work on your ideas and projects, or simply read the Quran. Getting busy before daybreak is a definite way to move away from your hardship and overcome challenges. Get most of your ideas/work done in these early hours. These are blessed hours. Do it mindfully and sincerely for Allah , not to prove you can “hustle”.

Hardship is Not Lost. Remember, Allah will never forget the injustice/hardship you faced, so don’t worry about seeking revenge or trying to get justice
In the end, I pray that Allah removes all your ordeals and hardships, blesses you all with a good life and helps you remember Him day and night, for “Verily, with the remembrance of Allah, do hearts find rest”. (Surah Ar-Ra’d , verse 28)
